@@shahnazwm I wish I could strive to fail more than trying to be perfect. Then I would've done more and become better than being stuck on a flaw rather than doing it better a second time.

Love how Mayuri at first just seems like a crazy scientist but then he just whips out an awesome speech out of nowhere. Also, the juxtaposition of the serious and sad piano and Mayuri's attire and makeup makes me laugh.
He's insane, not stupid. He's sadistic, sociopathic and has no remorse for torturing who knows how many people for 'science' but the man known as Kurotsuchi Mayuri is actually a very intelligent guy.
Now that I completed my therapy at a psychiatric clinic, and began my journey as a new man, with the ability to like myself for the first time in my 24 years of life, I see this speech in a new light. I'm not perfect, and never have to be. I am good. I am ok. And while I could be better, I can never be "perfect". I don't have to be perfect. All I need is to keep living my life, and allow myself to be open for future improvements. Thank you, Mayuri-taicho.
travis illerbrun I don't think that you people actually grasp what perfection means. Perfection, by definition, is something that has no flaws. If you see a flaw in something, like the guy in the video, then that isn't really perfection, it's just another flawed path or an ending.
True but the point of what he is saying is that Perfection is an Impossible concept because everything can be improved upon, as such perfection is just a dead end. Another quote similar is what Shuri says in black panther "just because it works doesn't mean it can't be improved" The Point is if you reach "perfection" what else is there to do? As a Scientist the greatest achievement is to go beyond the norm and surpass Understanding, If we reach Perfection what do we do from there? If he cannot learn anything else, how can we grow and improve? we would be stuck at dead end, being the same and never evolving. That one of the joys of getting to science at this day and age, while we have more understanding than we did 5000 years ago, we still have so much more to learn. So i pray that we never reach %100 understanding or if we do that we try and go beyond that.
travis illerbrun Again, you're missing the point. If in your eyes perfection isn't perfect, then it isn't perfection. Why do you people even think that the very end is perfection? Why not look at it this way: the whole road is a perfection in itself. What you achieve afterwards is a mere end of it. That's when you realise that you have experienced and finished the perfection.
"The perfect being you said? Well, I have to tell you the honest truth as I see it; In this world, nothing perfect exists. It may be a cliche after all, but it's the way things are. The whole thought of perfection is just a concept created by us humans. Whatever is considered to be the best version of something differs between people. It's all an opinion.
It's not even that. Perfection isn't something that's considered the best, but the very best thing that cannot be surpassed no matter how hard you try to.
