I've never thought of Armada's Starscream giving me a lecture about perfection and that lecture not be him gloating how good he is but rather explaining how hopeless would it be to try grasping perfection. Yet here I am enjoying every little second about it due to how true that turned out to be.
He may be a fictional character but to me his existence brings meaning to me his words bring meaning to me his concepts and values are everything to me
The reason I despise perfection is rather simple, I hear the word and equate it to stagnation. They're both a mockery to the very nature of, well, nature. Nature is an ever changing and ever adapting force. All things in nature have a chance strive for something better, or at the very least something different, and the idea of perfection means you accept stagnation, therefore you spit on the efforts of everything that came before you.
If Mayuri ever gets into Death Battle as unlikely as it is this *has* to be his ending quote. I quite frankly can't think of anything that would fit better.
@@toukoenriaze9870 My pick would be Orochimaru. It’s not exactly fair, but the dialogue potential is HUGE. I imagine Mayuri finishing him off while lecturing him about immortality.
I honestly love it. Everything about Mayuris power is based on his ability to Excell and be better. Imagine if he had that bankai without his mindset to improve and alter it every waking moment for the purpose to be better than he was yesterday? He'd be luitenant level at best.
And the very concept of perfection is simply stagnation. No improvements or new discoveries, individually dies for he has no flaws to which to stand out. We'd all go insane if we were truly perfect.
This is perfect when regarding the current state of the world we live in. People striving to be perfect via dangerous surgeries, going above and beyond to create the perfect Instagram photos to try and impress the world. Perfection doesn't exist, but we should always strive to be better than those that came before us.
Bulma, Mayuri, Orochimaru, Edward Elric, Senku, Vegapunk. These six anime scientists were the inspiration for the last DnD character I played, and one I have planed for the future.
I mean he isent wrong "perfection" is something that doesn't exists since there is an infinite amount of possibilities meaning that if you are trying to reach perfection you have made a choice that will never end it is a goal no one can reach unless there really is a dead end in this reality
The perfect being you said? Well, I have to tell you the honest truth as I see it. In this world nothing perfect exists. It may be a cliche after all, but it’s the way things are. That’s precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it’s infatuation. But ultimately, I have to ask myself what is the true meaning of being perfect? And the answer I came up with was… nothing, not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that’s it! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination. No space for intelligence, or ability, or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientists agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection. That’s the kind of creatures we are, we take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit, may in fact be unreachable! In other words, you may think that we operate on the same level but you were wrong. The moment you started talking about perfection you embraced an impossible concept and had already lost to me. That is, of course, if you are indeed a scientist at all.
just like mayuri, i despise perfection. it's very conept is to me a bad joke. an impossibility, a pointles thing to reach for. the very idea of perfection is flawed. it's not heaven, it's apathy, inhumanity, it's cold. to try to be perfect is to deny your own human desires, you own humanity. it's to become a statue, pertrifizd in your own perfection, unable to move forward, to evolve. that's why i also rejects god, because his existence embody that very despicable perfection. he's that mondter of absolute power & existence, that can only create imprrfect, inferior beings, because of his own perfection. that's why, as an imperfect being, i reject god & creationism, as well as causes that strive for perfection & utopia. i'll live as a proud human, smiling at my own imperfections & limitless potential for improvement.

Nothing is perfect and there will always be room to grow. It applies to almost everything we do in life

and yet, szayelaporro is still here, waiting on mayuri's sword to rise and pierce his hand

I love how even in the world of literal gods of death who throw magic reality bending spells around their somehow still room for science
I honestly love it. Everything about Mayuris power is based on his ability to Excell and be better. Imagine if he had that bankai without his mindset to improve and alter it every waking moment for the purpose to be better than he was yesterday? He'd be luitenant level at best.
I agree with everything he said. There is no such thing as perfection.
Me too.
"If you become Perfect, you'll disappear you know?" - Merlin to King Arthur
There is a thing and that is nothing

This speech made me respect Mayuri, something that I don't normally have for mad scientists.
Same I respect him for his ideals on perfection
