Thr fact that it came down to the levelled-up priest going last, dealing holy damage which was doubled against the Lich, getting to go twice, leading up to a grand total of 136 damage, is absolutely nuts. It's a good thing your friend plays the game!
I've been playing this game since beta and my goodness its good. Lots of replay value, my only complaint is that the newest dlc is more expensive than the game itself
@@somedude8728 Thats sorta true. They have a horrible marketing team. They release free content, and its not a small amount of free content, along with the paied dlc. And the free update along with the paied dlc sorta makes up for the dlc being overpriced. Granted i would say it should be 10-15 dollars than 20 tho.
@@kaijvera7717 the "free content" is questionable (espionage in stellaris is literally a joke without dlc, and HOI4's puppet system too is.. very basic). The way they do dlcs makes games feel worse the longer you play if you dont wanna spend money on them
If you haven't yet, please play Thuls. He's a ranger that poisons people and I've gotten him to do over 2k damage multiple times now. He's also a lil lizard so he's fun to stare at too
There’s another Card-Building Co-op Rogue-like called Hellcard if you are interested in more stuff like this. I’m not sure how it compares, but maybe it’s another source of Co-op Rogue-like Fun :)
Reminds me of Slay the Spire + Gloomhaven. If this could be fleshed out more like a "mmo" like Wizard101 with strangers joining you, that would be interesting.
you should try ember knights its a roguelike with co-op up to 4 players, it recently released to 1.0, its similar to hades, but with friends, it also has insane challenge potential
Hey skooch there is a new rogue like and would love to see you play, it's called blazblue entropy effect it's based on a fighting game series of the same name
Speaking of Co-oP rougelikes, could you try covering Sythetic and its sequel Synthetic 2? They just got a co op update and would love to see you cover it (Also because I trust your reviews of games)
Hey scooch, are you familiar with soul knight or enter the gungeon? They are AMAZING bullet hell roguelikes that are both great games and great video material
The only thing about it that I sort of didn't like was that the game is designed around you not being able to actually beat runs until you've failed/progressed enough to have meta progression. Having someone on your team that's played the game already is going to be a different experience. That, and too many icons (I don't get why they wouldn't just put the spell school on the bottom of the card rather than just having two very similar icons for related effects). I am sure it's better if you know that going in, which you do now that I told you! Enjoy. :)
I like the concept, but the only thing that I don't get is "what are we gaining from not playing alone". Besides voting system its just a group making choices a single person could.
Loved this game and was a joy playing with mates HOWEVER their Dlc pricing and approach to development is IMMENSELY PREDATORY. Wait for a sale to get this one mates, but apart from that 10/10 game
You've obviously never played Vagante. EDIT: also whatever mod it is that allows 4 players to play binding of isaac co-op and actually accumulate gear and pick their own character is a good rogue
Wait, isn't drawing "Death's door" from a deck of 26 cards (since you already drew 5, and then it said "26" over your deck) like a 3.85% chance, and not? 21.8% is ludicrously high. Or did I do math wrong? (I just did "1 / 26 = 0.03846", and that's like 3.85 as a percentage)
You should try barony it’s a neat 4 player first person dungeon crawler rougelike that has like 20 different classes. In the beta branch they have it set to 16 players for some reason
Hold up Skooch. If you are implying that just completing 1 run of Hades counts as beating the game then you really need to go back and give it another look. The first completed run is like the tutorial of the game, it changes drastically afterwords.
Skooch, I'm sorry... But I need to correct you. You are wrong about the deckbuilder detail of trying to keep a small deck. This philosophy applies exclusively to games with limits on particular card copies. Because if you can only have 3... say holy smites... in your entire deck. You don't want a 30 card deck if you want to make a holy smite deck. If this game is anything like slay the spire... which, it seems like it is... Then you probably don't have limits on how many of a card copy you can have. If you have a 30 card deck, of 30 holy smites. Big deck, but you're ALWAYS getting the card you want. From what I saw in the video, a bigger deck seems to be even MORE advised because if your deaths put a debuff card in your deck.... You're far better off having a large deck full of useful cards and options because then you have a cushion for when you get a death card and then you don't have to fear the "Enemy that counters your main strategy" scenario. (But, to small deck's credit, since the party has 4 decks that's less crippling.) Love you Skooch! Stay awesome! (Which means just be yourself man)
Thank you paradox for sponsoring this video! Check out Across the Obelisk HERE: play.paradoxinteractive.com/Skooch
Skooch!! Slay the spire has multi-player mods that get updated literally every week. It's SICK
*risk of rain 2 propaganda*
Barony is goat in term of multiplayer.
Sir did you just imply that gunfire isn't a good rougelike?
Man I been wanting to play with people but getting friends to buy the game is like trying to sell a vacuum to a 1960s working husband
This is how I feel trying to get people to play the isle or path of titans with me
WHAT AN ACCURATE ANALOGY 😆
Paradox always comes out with bangers, they're just incapable of missing

Ember knights is an insane co op rogue like :)
I have been playing ATO for a bit now and I am so glad someone like you brought it to a larger audience. I absolutely love this game!
This looks incredible! Thank you for making it!
I'm still waiting for Skooch to try and play Noita.
Gunfire Reborn is a fun coop rogue-like. I've played a ton with friends. It's a vibe and you can build your characters out in many different ways
Amazing review, You covered a lot of the magic and had some really clutch plays!
best rouguelikes are the friends we made along the way
That damn priest coming in clutch with the bean attack (frijole attack) 😂
my man, the goat is back
title already sold me to just go and get this game, thank you skooch
I've been playing this game since beta and my goodness its good. Lots of replay value, my only complaint is that the newest dlc is more expensive than the game itself
That' paradox for ya, the only reason I havent bought the game myself is because i know 99% of new content is gonna get paywalled

Finally! UA-cam has blessed me with a skooch notif!
myself and a friend have been looking for a neat coop game as of late and this definitly scratched that itch. Thanks for recommendation!

game would be good, but it has max maybe 50 players active. its fine for solo play tho
Honestly it’s about time Skooch talked about this banger of a game.
I've been playing this game for years with my buddies and it's so fun.
Love this game so Much!
Aight, I'm convinced
Now I just have to convince my friends
ngl, this looks rly fun :o
Can we just pause and appreciate that B# pun
I've been laughing at that for a good hour.
ITS A SKOOCH VIDEO! TIME TO STAY UP TOO LATE TO WATCH IT AND ACT LIKE A ZOMBIE AT WORK!
EDIT : SKOOCH SHOWS OFF THE GUNS AT 4:08
Day 1 asking Skooch to play the Patapon trilogy pls 💚
I have actually been playing this on my off time HAHA

That damn desert man 😢

Love this game!
this game is legendary, i got like 120 hrs put in, and the co-op games are great even if theres a level gap between you and your friends
You should try out Barony! That game is personally my fav Co-Op Roguelike, it has many races, classes and a lot of funny interactions lol
true
New update dropped darling, let's go back across the Obelisk. 👀
Rogue likes never get old! So many fun ways to make um!
Also, skooch! The cult of the lamb x dont starve update is out!
That ending moment probably was cool but it felt like bs plot armour. Love your videos

Slay the Spire multiplied by Darkest Dungeon?!?
I've been wanting to make something similar holy shit!
risk of rain 2 suddenly doesn't exist
I was going to say, we going to act like risk of rain 2 isn't already a thing?
looks like a 2005 flash game tho
Been enjoying gunfire but can't quite convince my dudes to play with me
Dude... You have to try "Ravenswatch" or "Ship of fools" if you look for more co-op rouge-likes.
skooch, there's no B sharp 😭
As a piano player I just want you to know that the existence of B sharp makes me mad lmao. B SHARP IS JUST C
Slay The Spire vibes all the way lessgooooooooo
There's a strong deer woman, it gets a 10/10 from me.
Hey scooch, are you familiar with soul knight or enter the gungeon? They are AMAZING bullet hell roguelikes that are both great games and great video material
risk of rain 1 and 2 looking at this title and punching a wall

What happened to the roguelike speedrun?
But what were the shards for?
Excuse me? Street of rogue, wayward and barony would like to have a word with you
It is a good game
dear god the worst part of the B# joke is that's just C natural T.T such a good joke i hate it T.T
Looks almost identical to "monster slayers" but has coop hahah
If you want more co-op roguelikes play roboquest
man you should check Children of Morta if you want another good co-op roguelike game

Synthetik crying in a corner
I'm mad at myself for snort laughing at that awful B# joke. xD
you CANNOT say that before trying out risk of rain 2
which in my opinion is still the best roguelike of all time
So next roguelike challenge should be i beat the 3 least popular rougelikes in under 30mins i bet tht would be "fun"
There is actually something like this I'm working on but speedrunning a BAD roguelike is a fate worse than death.
@@Skooch 30 mins too much for you damn thought you could do it
