Skooch has become a Lv 20 crook
I'm just trying to be a level 100 boss 😞
Lv 50 Beauty here. /kicks Skooch, drops him back to Lv 1 Crook/
@@Skooch slay 💅
RIP belveth cosplay
Lv 30* and also apparently from the time of cavemen.
What's funny about Sonic Shuffle is that Hudson Soft, who developed the majority of the Mario Party games... developed it also. Talk about sabotage
Yeah. They really got me with that one. It seemed like it would be a shoe-in best take on MP, and it ended up being one of the worst. Best part of the game was more Deem Bristow (as Eggman/Robotnik) as he had an incredible voice for him. So hearing more of him was the plus. Otherwise, a big disappointment.
Damn
I was thinking about this the entire segment and was hoping it'd come back as a joke :(
It's kinda weird that they fumbled the bag with Sonic Shuffle considering they had their own Mario Party clone in the form of Bomberman Land for PlayStation (Which was japan exclusive, there is a Bomberman Land for the DS but that plays like a regular Bomberman game, the PS one had minigames and such)
That Shrek Party game was a fundraiser prize for those school selling pizzas thing and I remember being very upset after Insold like 50 - 75 pizzas and got this game 😂😂😂
Skooch asking himself if he's doing a bit is a mood.
I’m literally crying. I finally thought I found a UA-cam video where someone would talk about PAC-MAN party for the wii but alas it twas a different pac man party game. Skooch hear my words. Pac-Man Party for the Wii is THE BEST PARTY GAME EVER. Just trust me you should check it out if you ever do another one of these. The way it handles “stars” and mini games is so unique and actually extremely engaging for a shitty Mario party clone.
I think it's really interesting that basically no developer has been able to make a good Mario Party-esque game. Even Nintendo really seems to struggle after 7 or 8. I guess Dokapon Kingdom but that's more like it's own thing. I'm surprised no indie team has made a spiritual successor to the classic Mario Party games yet; that seems like a massive opening in the market.
Anyway good job posting another banger Skooch, you're on a hell of a streak.
Pummel Party is pretty good not tied to any ips just all original and pretty solid
100% Orange Juice is a pretty good one, though not sure how close it is to be a "Mario Party clone" given it's more based on the board than the minigames
I had no consoles to play games and even if I had, none of my local friends or immediate family would be interested to join me for digital board game chaos, so I appreciate your reviews, Skooch. It almost allows me to see all that my childhood could've been.
(walks off into the sunset playing the smallest violin)
Imma just have to say, it makes me sad how many stopped viewing cause you quit league, especially since these videos are just a joy to experience and pure quality entertainment.
You forgot one teensy detail about the Sonic Shuffle AI. Not only does it cheat, *it has a vendetta against you*. To recent memory, I recall my matches being SO one-sided, it felt like the CPUs were out to make me finish last, throwing all the negative effects on me despite trailing behind them.
"My phone, it doesn’t receive text. What do you mean it doesn’t receive text?" Gives me the same vibe and energy than "What do you mean there’s only soup?"
My family LOVED Shrek Super Party. We also loved Shrek Super Slam, and the Shrek 2 Game... I'm unsure why there were so many Shrek games, to be honest.
The Shrek 2 beat em up was actually really good though...
Your reactions to the characters in the doorway are gold. Killed me every time
3:25 "If I keep talking to you, I'm going to have a stroke" I need to steal that
Fusion frenzy was always one of my favorite party games as a kid (that one was actually pretty good imo)
Fuzion Frenzy 3 please Microsoft.
Sonic Shuffle was developed by the same people who made Mario Party, but they tried to make it harder
You should check out the Pac Man Mario Party on the Wii. Creative title called Pac-Man Party lol. As a Mario Party Obsessor myself, I think it's one of the better ones! It involves taking castles and has a decent sized cast and minigames. Give it a try!
agreed. here's hoping for pac-man party 2
I agree. I love that game. I wish Bandai Namco would make another one. I'm still hoping that they do a remake of Pac-Man World Rally.
Still baffled that they re-relased it for the 3DS, I don't know how different that version is but like, damn, they really did
When my parents bought the Wii we had growing up, Pac-Man Party was one of the few games we got alongside it. We definitely enjoyed it, but we'd also gotten Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii, so Pac-Man Party didn't see too much play compered to those 2.
So many bells and whistles you'd think you were on a train
wp
Interesting thing about Sonic Shuffle is that the Mario Party dev team actually assisted with it’s development.
Watching a skooch vid is like watching your bestfriend speedrun depression
parasocial much
PARASOCIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL YOU NEED TO LOG OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFF
@@iconica9516You are what you eat, Sonic
Wtf does that even mean?
I never thought I'd be reuinited with Shrek Super Party like this. You unlocked some memories long tucked away within the folds of my brain. I don't know whether to thank you or hurt you for this.
I just wanna let you know Skooch the same people who made Mario Party also made Sonic Shuffle lmao
Odie is just a dog
"GO FIND A DOG"
Peak comedy
6:09 You not only need as many Precioustones to get a better chance at winning the entire match, but you also need to win most mini-games and have the most rings collected to ensure a total victory. What a chore, and I think it's well worth it getting it all.
Holy shit your content just gets funnier each vid Skooch
glad you quickly mentioned Pummel Party. it is the GOAT of PC MarioParty clones.
Honestly one of your best videos of this new era of content! Onwards and upwards
Fun fact: there's a (Maybe) better Pac Man-Mario Party ripoff that's much better than what Skooch has covered, and it is so different from the other ripoff, that I can guarantee it's made not by You-Know-Who. It has actual bosses, better minigames,
and a Playable, Female, *Furry*.
lol
"I don't like Muppets. It is for five year olds. I don't drink Wilkin's coffee!"
RIP
It’s so weird that while there are plenty of solid Mario Kart clones, there have barely been any decent Party clones. I feel like this shouldn’t be hard. They either focus on only the mini games or make the board game aspect over complicated
You know there is ANOTHER Pac-Man Mario Party game you haven't talked about. PAC-MAN PARTY!!! This was made for Pac-Man's 30th Anniversary and is actually good! You should review that some time!
A day with a Skooch upload is a good day no matter what
Also, the ad skit is funnier than most UA-camrs regular content
"Can We Talk About This? Mario Party Clones", AKA: Skooch meet his archnemesis...Mass Media
Also, Mass Medie didn't create Saints Row 2, Darksiders or Evolve, they just did port of those games to consoles and PC
the only good part about Garfield: Lasagna Party is that Nermal is a playable character.
Seeing the cover for Darksiders send me into a nostalgic trip, I love that game so much. I'm gonna replay it now
skooch, try this old party games too: "Crash Bash" and "SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants!".
17:17 It has so many bells and whistles, it's like playing in a train station.
Love your content skooch keep making videos
I love how Garfield just copies mario spinoff franchises.
6:37 Mini games happen most of the time when this happens. There is a rare chance you will end up in a Mini Event, which are comparable to Dokapon Kingdom's NPC encounters.
9:23 Actually Sonic Shuffle has a bigger roster, but unlike Shrek Super Party, you have to work for half the roster, the unlockable characters are Big, Gamma, Chao, and Super Sonic
Glad to have you post a new Video Skooch, been down a few days but this will pick me up, Cheers bud
skooch the type of guy to play sonic in sonic shuffle
Shrek Super Party is actually one of the first games I ever played, and is super nostalgic to me. It also still holds up to this day, in my eyes at least.
Skooch, your videos are amazing!
As someone who played PAC-Man Party (not the same PAC-Man thing he played) on the Wii as a child I can confirm that it was a Mario Party clone that may not have sucked ass.
Easily one of his funniest videos goddamn
Ah, Sonic Shuffle. RIP the carbunkle.
hilarious, love the "so you dont have to" format
You got me at 'i've just been mailing em in'. quality.
"how did they fit all that"? The sponsored bit was glorious
Woah, woah, woah. Hold up. Which version of Shrek party did you play? cause mine had a different cutscene ending for each character. Thelonious got a "vacation", for example. Also, I rather liked the rolling board for movement. It gave you some control, but not too much. And the different paths was usually offset by the fact that 1 path had a much larger bug juice bag at the end, so you could try beating other players there, or play it safe and go down a different path. It certainly was no masterpiece but it had some good ideas, imo.
If you go to the credits of Muppets Party Cruise, you get to hear Kermit rapping, therefore it's the best MP clone.
Dude I adored Muppet Party Cruise XD I could only play it at a friends house but it was a blast every time.
3:48 That joke was so fire it sent me back to 2001
Congrats on the 400K my brother!!
Omg, first I was scared after you said no more lol videos but every video after lol is sooooooo goooood :)
You know what? You had me at the intro style, can't wait for you to be in my sub notifications from now on.
There's actually another Mario Party knock-off on GBA that has similar "Pass the system" multiplayer with single player mini-games to Cartoon Network Block Party. And it's based on GREEN EGGS AND HAM of all things. It's really bad but my friends and I played it and had a blast laughing at how bad it was.
Oh dang, I haven't seen Skooch content ever since I quit watching shorts. Glad to see some long-form Skooch content
3:49 caught me off guard lmao
Ive never even played mario party or any clone, but I still loved this video
Ngl Skooch looks like the rich dad of the bully from the high school movies that insists that his son is an angel
skooch you mad man make the content you want to make, the people will follow
I like how when you talked about the shark with ice skates, in sonic shuffle, when it’s a tuna with ice skates. 💀
3:58 SEGA has always been good at cutscenes
So committed to the skit he cut his facial hair for the other character. Love the content
God PAC-man fever was a blast on the PlayStation 2. I grew up with half of these games brings joy to my life to hear you talk about this.
“You would rip off so skin from the palm of your hand that it would look like you were auditioning for Passion of the Christ.”
One the greatest lines I have ever heard in a UA-cam video
one weird MP clone i remember clearly is the Sonny with a Chance DS game, board was good but the minigames were hit or miss. it felt like a fever dream
That was a FANTASTIC ad 😂😂😂😂
The use of the Sonic Colors OST in this video is fantastic
SOnic Shuffle is "All the fun of Mario Party without the fun" - Brutalmoose
My thoughts:
1. Sonic Shuffle was developed by Hudson Soft, the same company that developed the first eight games in the Mario Party series. Also, Shuffle has four unlockable characters in addition to the main quartet of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. They are Big the Cat, E-102 Gamma, a Chao, and Super Sonic. Also also, as someone in the minority of people who enjoyed Shuffle, I want to see it re-released for modern consoles and/or have a sequel. In the case of the latter, the things I'd like to see are the same gameplay, but with improved AI, new playable characters, and elements more in line with the Sonic franchise.
2. As much as I enjoyed Garfield Lasagna Party, I do feel that it should have had more playable characters, namely from the U.S. Acres/Orson's Farm segments of Garfield and Friends, like Orson Pig, Roy the Rooster, and Wade Duck.
3. Some other party video games I recommend checking out include Party Time With Winnie the Pooh, Beauty and the Beast: A Board Game Adventure, Tweety and the Magic Gems, and M&M's Blast.
YET ANOTHER BANGER
SKOOCH, I LOVE YOU, Your uploads ALWAYS make me at least smile and usually laugh xDDD Pleaaaaseee need more Skooch D:
I’m about to move countries and I’m so glad you uploaded your next video just now, to comfort me as I pack my last stuffs :)
3:33: OH COME ON, NOT YOU TOO!!!!! THEYRE FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
skooch your videos are fun to watch thanks for making my day less boring
Thank you skooch for using Shrek Super Slam music for the shrek section. Clearly the superior shrek game and a good smash bros esc game
I remember playing another mario party clone for the wii. I don't remember what its called, but it has those tomogachi characters from the little handheld egg game things. I also remember that it was super long. Maybe you could do a review of it sometime if you ever make another video covering more mario party clones. You don't have to, but it would be nice.
Man I'm just three years younger than fire, how about that.
Also that jump rope with the snake is actually kind of a cool concept for an actual boss fight. A minigame, no. But a platformer boss fight? Yes sir!
Also god I'm so glad you didn't do Crash Boom Bang. It would have been bad like these ones, but for your sanity I wouldn't recommend doing it back to back with other clones.
Actually, the Muppets is a FAMILY franchise, and is meant to be enjoyed by people of ALL ages. Not just kids. There are a lot of heavy-handed jokes, and also some adult humor and subject matter in the Muppets. It’s not like Sesame Street, which was designed specifically for kids.
funny thing is, some of the people from hudson soft actually helped sega make sonic shuffle
Me on my way to collect the "Bonus Bag of Precious Bug Drops"
THAT SHIT KILLED ME
MUPPETS PARTY CRUISE IS MY SHIT AND I'LL DO ANYTHING TO PLAY IT AGAIN. AIRPLANE ISLAND, OUT OF GAS, SO MANY FUN ONES
Is always a good day when i watch a skooch video
Funny part is…the company that made Mario Party, Hudsonsoft I believe, made Sonic Shuffle. Words can’t even describe how cheated I feel as a Sonic fan.
"is the door open?" skooch says next to a clearly open door
I grew up with Pac-Man Fever. I actually kind of liked it back then. I didn’t even really know what Mario Party was until I played the Wii one at my cousin’s place
I've seen the Mass Media logo before but I don't know in what games.
But dang my jaw drop so dang hard when I saw Darksiders 20:00
sonic shuffle seems like it would have been a good game if the battles were classic sonic gameplay instead of card matching. it would give use to the rings, make it more fun to play and watch, and possibly introduce an element of risk if you needed to battle someone to steal their cards. in fact, it seems like that's what was planned, but the game was rushed before they could complete the classic boss fights so they had to insert a placeholder mechanic that ended up ruining the game
shrek super party, on the other hand, is unsalvageable
and on the third mutant hand, muppets party cruise seems genuinely fun and creative and deserves a port to the NX
Love your videos, they always crack me up. I would have played those party games with you, nothing better than cheap knock off games!
Big ups with the OnePlus Sponsorship! We see you Skooch!
I remember playing Crash Bash on my cousin's PS1 and it was solid as far as i can remember, however your vid makes me worried it's the rose colored glasses doing their thing again xD
Welp, we did it boys, Skooch, shave that crest and paint thyself purple
I hope you do another video like this about good mario party clones (if there are even enough to make a video about) just so you can see and talk about Fuzion Frenzy. I remember playing that one and having so much fun with it when I was younger.
Just so you know, Sonic Shuffle was made (at least in part) by Hudson Soft....AKA, the Mario Party devs....
They tried to help shake up *their own* formula, and in the eyes of most they failed...
why is this one so funny? like out of all his videos why is the one where he just play a party game alone so funny, or well i guess relatable?
Fuzion Frenzy is the best Mario Party knockoff. It's all mini-games
Funny how the only thing you could use to get your sponsor to dunk on is a landline... And not even one from this century since it doesnt even go cordless from it's base!
Sir Skooch, you chose OST from Sonic Riders, and for that, you have my absolute respect.
