      I suggest finding crochet videos that are more beginner-friendly. I noticed she glossed over some details that a beginner wouldn't know. Here's a crochet bunny made from a square, very good for beginners: ua-cam.com/video/XSXAunowBa8/v-deo.html. Additionally, a video on how to make the face: ua-cam.com/video/zTClXxEwAic/v-deo.html. The first animiguri I made was this heart, it takes you every step of the way but because of the small size, it is a little difficult: ua-cam.com/video/mlqgrLitQgs/v-deo.html.

    Just an fyi yall:
    At 8:40, make sure you do front loops only on the 4 stitches there. It will keep the legs doing straight down from the body vs bending outwards. She doesnt do it in the pattern but just trust me on thism i had 2 come out with wonky legs with one that bent outwards but i figured out doing this makes a world of difference

I’m so sorry, I have not the slightest clue of any of the terms or what the entire spool of yarn is even called ☹️🤦🏽‍♀️ But it didn’t use up that much tbh. 1 spool thingy should complete your crew mate!

      @@gugue6248 To be on the safe side for one crewmate, I would say about 90meters or 45g of yarn. The skein I used was about 128g (of worsted weight or aran size yarn) and that would be plenty enough to probably make at least 3 or more I think.

    is there a way to make this pattern like 3x bigger using the same size 4 yarn ? i want to make a bigger plush for my husband and i.

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  4 роки тому +7

      There's no easy way except to keep increasing if you want to stay with same yarn size. I would just keep increasing rounds until you get to the size you want, and experiment from there, and try to use the same concepts. Basically just increase up till maybe Round 10 when you'll have 60 sts all the way around. Continue with the same amount of stitches until you get the length you want. Then create a leg seam that is large enough to cross over and sew to the other side, and then create the legs. Good luck!

    • @haleywaughtal9045
      @haleywaughtal9045 4 роки тому +3

      take the rows and how much and multiply those numbers by however much bigger you want it. for example. mine came out very small because of the yarn and needle i was using, so i'm going to make it 3x bigger by taking rows and how many times to increase and multiplying it!

    • @TheShark1982
      @TheShark1982 4 роки тому +1

      I'm currently experimenting with doubling the instructions. I'm a novice, and think I'm using a size down I wool weight/thickness (I'm not sure of terms, sorry). I've been slowly increasing up to 48 stitches instead of 24 (increased 1st into 12, 2nd into 18, 3rd into 24, 4th into 30, 5th into 36, 6th into 42, 7th into 48) then doing 22 rows instead of 11. This is as far as I've got, yet to work out the leg seam, but I think I have it sussed (do you see what I did there? 🤪). My theory is to chain 9, so I have 8 to to sc back on, then repeating 3 more times. So far, size wise, I think it would be close to the size in the video instruction, but it is taking much longer (especially as I'm not constantly able to work on it, just short bursts). My one issue is that I think the head might not be curved enough. It's looking a little flat. It might be ok when stuffed.

    Around how much of the colored yarn (yellow, red, etc) do you use for each of them? I’m making multiple for my friends and want to know if the lion brand bonbons would give me enough yarn, thanks!

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  4 роки тому +1

      I don't believe the bon bons would be enough to make one full crewmate (at least not by using just one color). I would try to have about 100 yards of the yarn to be on the safe side!

    Anyone able to help.

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  4 роки тому +1

      You mean when you're sewing on the leg seam? At the end of sewing, make sure you tie it off with a knot so it stays put. You'll want to also tie off the other end as well. Hope that helps!
