I grew up in the Era of the days with no vibration mounts, and still to today I never judged a saw by vibration, cause ur holding an engine in yr hands!!I remember first seeing chain breaks on saws for the first time when I was young, thought it was ugly and always removed them lol

I have to Echo 2511’s both ported different ways and numerous 150tc/151tc but I just can’t get with 25cc top handles. I just love the power and versatility of a well built 201TC. Once you run a properly done 201 it’s amazing that a top handle can rip that hard. I can def see why some would love em tho because they definitely can be handy around the yard or in a pruning-trimming type environment. Good stuff TW 👍
@@Houseworksaws I've ran a few of the stihls and they for sure have way more power. But I agree, these little things have their place, the 2511 is just so small and very easy to handle.
@@dubbssawshop I originally got my first 2511 5 or so years ago because of my elbow issues and 5lb was a relief. I still keep a 2511 in my side box for when I’m trimming/pruning but when it comes to production removals I reach for the big boys. I recently added the Tree Tamer Polar Port muffler to it. I love the muffler as it works GREAT. Highly recommend one for your little ripper. It’s Billet Aluminum and a hollow can. Cheap off eBay and nicely crafted.
@@IndianaDoug Chain choice makes a HUGE difference. They can be a pain to tune sometimes but once dialed with a good chain it’s like a whole new saw. Fun lil things
Well sir it did look like chainsaw chainsaw had a little more. Ot sounded higher rpms but of course wasn't me running it! Good stuff thanks for sharing!
My 2511T likes to be dogged in.....if you don't lean on the dogs a little it will chatter with the factory chain setup. That little clone looks interesting.....I would be nice to do a head to head with that V-Modest.....
@@Eric-n-TN I actually went to the Echo dealer to buy a new 2511 and they didn't have any. They wanted to sell me the electric version...no thanks at this time.
@@dubbssawshop I've only had mine 6 months or so....There was only one listed at a dealer locally and I snagged it. You're not going to get a deal that's for sure but that little saw is just sweet with a little brake-in and a west coast muffler!
I like the cheapo 25cc, but there's a few things about it that I find annoying. The hand guard for the chain brake is overly massive and the clutches are very strange feeling. I've got 2 and they both work well for their intended use
@dubbssawshop u get use to them when u figure what can stay on when pulling engine, really I can do it in 10 minutes piston and crank in my hands, 4 bolts, choke knob, pull tanks that's pressed in fuel line and done
@@dubbssawshop well that just made me want one even more. I'd say it will be much better to mod and it'll be my next saw purchase for sure. When you modded yours what all did you do to it if you don't mind me asking?

@@alltherpm Pre AV and CB saws are some of the best no doubt. But after a long run you can definitely tell the difference.

Chain choice, and getting it dialed in right is the key to these little saws, you taught me that😆

We need to see the Neotec in the battle arena soon. Any top handle under 10 pounds is not bad. The Vmodest is nicer being so compact.

Can you remove the jug on the 2511? Or is it the same motor as the neotech?
@@matthewknight5641 it's made just like the Echo and the jug can be removed 👍🏻so no clamshell like the Neo and chainsaw chainsaw.
