That trick for the animation aspect is really neat. Is there a way to have more control? For example, I want my video to be looping, so I'd like the value to slowly rising from 0 to 500, then slowly go back down from 500 to 0.
@@chuckcg Well, yes, I can turn off shadows or alpha as well until before render. I guess the general observation here is that it's not really real-time water (animation) with these settings.
@@clray123 Eevee it's a real time render but it doesn't mean that you can preview the animation in real time, it all depends on your pc, and yes transparency it's heavy, maybe you can try with a different material.
For anyone looking for the 'alpha harshed option' it's changed in 4.2. It's now under settings>surface>render method>blended.
