I’m a Pipefitter. I glue pvc all day in a fab shop. I just built a walking cane for a festival. Boss gave me a couple fittings to make it into a cane flask and now it holds 1.5pints of tequila.
That kiddo is comfortable in front of a camera 😄. I love how honest kids are - they say what’s on their mind 👍 I love your videos, I download a few each week onto my ipad and bring it with me to see my dad. He’s 91 and in a care home. He used to have a fabulous workshop and I know he misses it. We watch your videos together and he never takes his eyes off the screen. These videos put a smile on his face and I’m so grateful for it ♥️
Wow...that is quite a nice story. I appreciate hearing that. What is his name? I would like to mention him in my next woodworking project video. He might like to hear his name (and or photo of him). Thanks for sharing, Tom
Well, he was totally honest. I mean, we want to encourage that in young people, don't we? Incidentally, I think the chicken feeders were my favourite. Cheers Tom.
Trying to come up with some storage ideas for my casita travel trailer. Since there is absolutely no storage in the 17ft fiberglass hulls that are insulated with carpet ... well. You can see my delema. Ive searched all over and noone has ideas. To me this is an idea. Perhaps being able to slit the carpet and hang by some epoky thie pvc pipes i can figure out a way to expand this little casita. Out of darkness the light emerges. My husband passed away 2 months ago i am 57 and a widow. Bought this casita spirit deluxe as an investment. Only there is absolutely no storage. Ive been so stuck in how imgoing to live comfortably. When i thought what about pvc. Its lightweight so not too much weight on the axle. But enough storage to feel like home and also create something possibly others can use. Check them out. What do you think. Seems much better than an s hook and some nets. Dont cha think? 😊

You're dead wrong about the push mower attachments sir! Riding mowers have cup holders, we lowly mower pushers deserve them too! It did feel like A LOT of junk to have hanging off a mower in the picture though. But as a cup holder... that's brilliant.
Years ago I make a couple used a couple of 2" dia. lengths with end caps as travel cases for my fishing rods, one for my flyrods and one for my good carbon walleye rods, they have served me well
Quiero hacerte una pregunta si hago un techo de pvc puedo llenar el caño con cemento para que sea mas resistente como deberían llenarlo con cemento y un hierro en el medio para que no sea flexible al peso
I guess it would depend on how much weight you are trying to support. PVC comes in different thicknesses called "schedules". With careful design, I suppose you can make just about anything out of it.
do you or can you make a tall pvc chair and rectangular or square high table. I live in a condo to see over the balcony and I have tall metal rusted out ones and I am looking for the chair in pvc Thank you so much Kym
Get a 3 foot long chunk of PVC pipe. Put it in a pipe threading machine and spin it up. Cut a long sharp taper inside the pipe. Put a cap on it. When you find yourself cleaning a nasty crusty toilet bowl, dump a fifth of a can of CLR in the owl. Do thisthenext two times you flush. Then use the sharpened PVC to scrape the bowl pearly white, while standing up.
Hi I have been looking for someone that knows pcp pipe and I think 🤔 I found that perfect person I have 2 glass medium size round fish bowls new I'm going to put candles in them bowls and I want to make 2 stands for them would like them to be very tall they r going to go beside my tv stand can u help me with a great idea 💡 thank u I'm wanting different lol 😂 I love the way pcp pipe looks thank u again hope u can help me
Hey, Tom. This was fun and I saw a few that I am tempted to build. At 6:28, I have to admit that I don't know what the picture on the far right is. Can you educate me?
I think you might be referring to a camera mount? I have a small action camera and I use that mount to clip it onto something in order to get some creative video shots.
@@AlleyPicked Sorry, Tom. I certainly just had a senior moment. The time on the video that I should have written was 4:06. The picture show four vertical tubes painted different colors. The tubes are attached to a plywood backing. Each tube is topped with a 45 degree elbow and below the tubes is a tray that contains a number of ping pong balls.
@@AlleyPicked I should have know that it was something above my intellectual level. FYI: When I was a kid, all we had to play with was sticks and stones.
I attacked a 2" X 20" piece to my tractor to carry a shovel or a rake as I drive about my property. It worked great until I drove under a low hanging tree & the rake caught & the pvc busted. I'm going to rebuilt it w galvanised steel pipe. !
Of course it's horrible for the environment (which is an an integral part of us) but until it's outlawed you can find LOTS of scrap pvc that's being tossed out and they're usually happy for you to take it. Hopefully someday soon we will invent something better.
That #3 on your bad ideas is actually solid and taken lut of context. Knife in buoyant waterproof container for kayak fishing is a super win.

Thanks for taking the time for your feedback.

Could you explain your process to painting the pvc so nicely?
I scuff it up using some fine sandpaper. I then paint it using a paint that says it can be used on plastic. It works pretty well for me.
Hm do you think pvc can be used in conjunction with wood and mesh netting to make a walled platform with stairs for a toddler tower?
I guess it would depend on how much weight you are trying to support. PVC comes in different thicknesses called "schedules". With careful design, I suppose you can make just about anything out of it.
@@AlleyPicked Ill do some research on it, im guessing about 60lbs at most.
Hardware stores do not stock sizes that tradesmen do not need. Shipping charges are exorbitant for most hobbyists.

Why not just buy the plastic chairs and tables they sell at Home Depot or Lowes?
