- You'd think a slow day for dumpsters would mean a slow day for us, right? Wrong! While we're taking a breather from the dumpster grind, we're still hard at work finding new ways to grow the business. It's all about maximizing opportunities and making the most of every situation.
Today, we're tackling some long-overdue maintenance and focusing on expanding our container sales and rental business. It's a different kind of hustle, but it's just as rewarding. We're always looking for new income streams to keep this operation running smoothly.
Stay tuned because we're always hustling!
Mad respect for your strive to survive in this backwards economy. Everything you do for your business is exactly what i know im capable of doing in my area as well. I have a very similar background in blue collar work, equipment operating, hauling, contractor sales and have stayed pursuant to the rat race corporate 500 that continues to crumble year after year. Its evident owning a business is what makes america great and big corporations make america weak if not done right.... I just havent had the courage to make the jump. Hoping in a year or two i can start renting things out or moving sea cans.i have a 02 6 speed dodge dually that is enough to get going till i can swing a new rig capable of the modern gvwr needed for heavy hauling legally .. Definitely money to be made without needing a full blown semi truck. Thanks for sharing your success and your struggles. Stay true!!
That truck project is looking killer bro!!! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Appreciate it man. It's got a longgg way to go to what I have completed in my mind. But at least she will be mobile again here soon
She's getting so big. Keep up the good work can't wait to see what your up to next.
@chrishumphreys7774 much appreciated! And yea, she's getting big quick!
Project truck is looking great! Glad you're staying busy!
Super tempted to buy your shipping container to set at one of my storage facilities!
@@kylegrimm I always wonder if we lined 10 of them.up nice if people would rent them for equipment/vehicles
Great content buddy good work nice
Just as i think you are spread too thin you keep amazing me with your energy and hard work good job 💪
I buy a case of 10 of the same grease from Home Depot at a time for $60. Free online delivery 😅
@JackofHaulTrades we go through that stuff like crazy. Of course I have a box of it out at my shop too. Doesn't help when I start my day from home some days!
Appreciate the times you can hold her they grow up waayy to fast
@@user-sm4lv3mx5n yea, I can already feel how fast it's goin 😞
That’s the truth!
Are you still renting out your equipment? Haven't seen any videos on that for a long time!
I do! But sparingly. We still use them a lot ourselves, and I turn people away weekly.
"I'd like to rent your skid steer"
"What are you using it for"
"I got my skid steer stuck in the creek and need another to pull it out"
....."Sorry sir it is unavailable"
I wish that was a joke but I've gotten that call more than once. That and people wanting to clear tree paths with the mini. Learned my lesson on that one quick.
We make more by using the equipment for our own use / demolition. The rentals are just the cherry on top to help justify keeping them!
The trailers at the tree company has a solau panel to help battery hold charge not used everyday but works when needed sometimes they use all week didn't really follow on how they work said worked good keep on keeping on got good ideas but watch economy you have some good knowledge able people around you and not scared to take advice it's free then make up your mind and down the road if worth it for you my friend who has more money than the government buys things and sells them that is how he ended up with two dump trailers for free after he sold four of them the other two were free you can do that if you got money and a plan 11:23
thats crazy that they pulled out those bricks 1 by 1 and stacked, and didn't just take a skid to them and a dump trailer
@@gr33dyd3vil1 yea, I was a bit shocked by that as well. Or these were the ones that survived. Because I heard we didn't make it to the first 2 pallets that were thrown away. Apparently most of them were chucked or broken
you should look into getting impact powered chain binders
@@randomuser-rt3zy those would be nice because we always have tools in the truck
Hit up Matt's off road he just pulled a front axle
@@rmbechtold man, I hope I could meet and colab with that dude one day
@@rollingopsthat would be sick
The 5 pack of hot sauce just arrived. Looking forward to tearing into them.
That's so cool man! I saw one of his commercials. He had a good sense of humor. Couldn't help but support his brand.
I just got trailer and 3 dumpsters was wondering if you put any kind of grease on the rails?
@@patrickgallegos8246 I do every once in a while yes!
Unless the slack adjusters are wayyyy out of adjustment, those wheels should not spin with no air.
@tennif1 they are wayyyyy out lol. I had to loosen em all the way out and give em a few wacks for them to suck off the drums. Need to re adjust before she hits the road.
Are you putting a rollback bed on Kenworth
@@robbiemartin9735 nope! It's not quite long enough!
Don’t get a shipping container trailer get a recovery trailer.
Aw man that's a little cutie. It looks like you have 15-16 years before well you know lol I have 2 girls 28 and 41 boy I got lucky they were nothing like me during those teenage years wishing you same luck I had nothing like being a girl dad
I have a feeling ont axle out of a 1995 Kenworth T600. If you could mak it work
Have you missed a couple leg days?? Lol
@@user-sm4lv3mx5n haha I get that a lot. O ran XC and track for over 10 years. Them little legs used to move fast.
Kenworth getting a STRIPPER POLE !
Is your kenworth going to be a hook truck to haul sea cans with?
@@jasontryon3239 nope!
Very cool idea. But doesn't have the length needed!
Would Docket work for a utility trailer rental business?
@war_moose5814 I guess in a way yes. Because I use it for my equipment rentals as well
@@rollingops thank you for the response
Wow no dumpster movement is not good
@joeyschannel3760 first time it's happened in a long time. But next day is crazy. Just a weird day
I feel for you on that drywall 😢 for a small crew that should be less than a week job, easily. For one man show working moderately no more than a month.
Sometimes people say they do drywall and mud because they think it's easy but when you have to do a clean job and make it look professional nothing's easy when it needs to be the standard of professionalism. It's possible your handyman is in over his head 🤷♂️
@@MIGHTYX2010 I think you may be spot on.
How do you still have time for the gym running a full time business bro
@@slicktmi I def don't have the time or motivation to lift the way I used to. But I still make it a priority to get in there a few times a week!
@rollingops that's crazy bro that's how i feel how do you keep up with the nutrition that was my biggest challenge
@slicktmi I am a big meat eater. Chicken rice probably daily. But I also eat candy like crazy (my metabolism is crazy). It drives my buddies nutts, because I can still eat anything. But I also drink a lot of caffeine and typically skip breakfast. So I start my day basically fasting everyday. Then have a light lunch (beef Jerry and Gatorade a lot). Then dinner is typically red meat or chicken!
I also hardly sleep man. 4-6 hrs top daily
@rollingops that's crazy i wouldn't even say you're in a daily caloric surplus it'd be hard to eat 3700cals im asmuing for you would be a surplus sweet spot. That's honestly why i gave up on lifting my business is just to time consuming gym is easy but like i said nutrition is almost impossible when your out all day and i wouldn't want to be a fast food king lol
@slicktmi so, this is gunna sound unbelievable. But when I ran track and and when I was big into biking I had to up my calorie intake to 8-10k or I'd drop below 145lbs too fast. It was more exhausting to eat than it was to exercise.
And I had to do that for years because I ran from basically 7th grade to my second year of college.
But ever since I moved back, and cut back heavily on cardio, I just maintain 148-152lbs pretty steady.
Why is the dumpster business not working out ?
Dumpster business is amazing for us this was an anomaly. But a welcomed one, because we def got a lot done today that I've had on hold.
Miss Daisy might be better looking😊
@@user-sm4lv3mx5n I don't doubt it, lol
My guess is KW in Rhome Tx, ?
@andrewkolarek4551 nopeee, I don't think so at least.....to be honest....idk exactly where in TX it is 🤣
Dont sell you shipping container, they are not getting cheaper
@@THYKAER they def aren't getting cheaper. This one is just a bit more warn than the others I have.
He’s going to sell it to me for half off 😅❤
@@kylegrimm I think you need some at the campground lol
