    Nobody has ever told me about isoflexing the mag side ever! I already have the primary clutch bearing I'm gonna be isoflexing, when i do that, I'll isoflex the mag side too, thank you so much, my sled is a 08 XP Summit X

      I usually judge the mag side based on the pto. If the pto is mint I don’t sell the mag side if the pto side is bad I sell the mag

    At 2:53 he is correct. I did lose spark because of it. And it was nightmare replacing a stator.

    Great tutorial Brother. I had my pawl let go on my gen 1 so I put a kimpex kit in and it failed after about 7 pulls. So now that I need to it again I will do my msg side. I know they say to use isoflex but I am not paying that price. I have a 100% synthetic shell product that they use in the super calendar machine bearings at the mill it’s properties are a little higher than isoflex I have been using it for 4 years now and no issues when I go out to the shop I will send you a pic of the tube. It’s about 100 bucks a tube but works great 👍.

    Another good reason to add an oil injection delete kit long with conventional PTO and mag bearings..... And don't forget the 50/1 premex.

    Like #40. That was mint. Never knew you could force grease through a stator bolt hole. Its been so long since I had to fiddlefk with one of those.

    Keep up the good work. I'm new to snowmobiles and have been looking on youtube for good maintenance videos, so far I've not found much but I'm liking what you've been putting out.
    Correct me if I'm wrong too, but it seems pretty common for people to just sell a newish sled and buy a brand new one rather than do some basic maintenance to keep them going?

    Rolling bearings need space for the grease to move between the balls/rollers. Over filling will churn the grease which quickly overheats and the bearing is toast. Why have Rotax not run engine oil through the bearings so they dont need grease?

    • @bobbyrebussini1466
      @bobbyrebussini1466  3 роки тому

      they do on the 850s I’m not sure why they did it like that back then. All I know is I’m happy they don’t do it like that now.

    • @fairbanksairriders

      And there are main bearings inside the motor which can’t be lubed. The local tech said it’s not an issue but seems odd.

    Hi Bobby thanks for the great video! I was wondering if there should be lock tight put on the stater bolts to seal the case from air leaks that could cause a lean condition and possibly a burn down in the Mag cylinder?

    • @bobbyrebussini1466
      @bobbyrebussini1466  3 роки тому +2

      Nope! No need because there is an inner crank seal the bolts don’t seal anything
