I always liked Bubba. I still have two or three of his songs on my iTunes playlist. He definitely was not wack and could easily standup with today’s artists.
We in the A thought Bubba was gonna be for us what Paul Wall was for Texas... Lyrically he started off decent but that fluctuated through out his career.. He had highs and lows career wise and and sometimes lyric wise imo. Honestly he also got alot of props off the strength of that outkast cosign... In particular Big Boi... I hope he's doing well these days.
I remember some racist shit came out around his name months after his Solo dropped. I only liked his song with Jadakiss on ruff Ryder's 3 compilation

I actually loved the album " Deliverance ". I got it when it first came out and remember having it in heavy rotation. I really think the album and sounds was ahead of It's time. It pretty much pioneered thr " Slumerican" sound. That's sort of thr bad side if the music " business". Because it didn't perform as well as his first album, he went in a new direction. I feel like timberland and Bubba could have dominated that sound together, it just didn't have a core audience at the time. To me the album was a classic. It was a sound and style that was unique and spoke to a side of America who you wouldn't consider to be hip hop and rap fans. Thanks for doing this video
