I'm just about to do this to an M41 hull i just bought. What are you using for the esc base? Traxxas has all kinds of crap poking up making it tough to mount the esc. Thanks!

I like that fully removable electronic tray that's pretty cool. so how'd it do on performance? I watch the whole video thinking I was going to be able to see something and there was nothing other than shining up with mothers. come on Jack you leaving me hanging

Traxxas recommends spraying WD40 on either side of the motor bearings after each use and leaving the top off until the hull dries completely to prevent rust and seizing up.

Traxxas never explained that until these boats started having the issues, I lost my motor too but the hobby store gave me another one for free, you suppose to use marine oil and spray the electronics with protectant, everytime I run my spartan I take it all apart and clean it and re grease the flex shaft, clean the motor and oil it back up

So whatLeopard 4082 KV did you go with and was it a direct fit?I am thinking about adding the same set up to my Proboat Sonicwake 36!

      1600Kv, direct fit. Works great!

Go with the 2080 KV, 4092. 180 SEAWING. ..(MY TRAXAS SETUP) ... plenty of giddy up. , and will transpose to the other boats. Recommend a dual pickup to independently cool the motor and controller. Keep your props lite, between a .440 - .445, or Octura .448. Other wise, you start cook your electronics. "THE Shreddy,," And the Sonic WAKE dials in real nice on the CNC . 440 to .442. We have members , in our club , and these are sweet props. THE Motor? AN 1850, running 8 S, puts you in low 70's Happy Racing.

Hello yesterday I Was installing an esc turnigy 200a, to my m41 and the reverse function does not active it only moves forward that I can do in this case. The esc asks for a BEC

I think you need to Calibrate the ESC with your radio or adjust the end points in radio

87 kmh with a 4082.... That just goes to show what kind of hull this is. You do realize that cheaper and better boats run 80+ mph with this kind of power, not to mention there are people running the same speed as you on stock power? Install that 4082 in a TFL Ariane 2 and see what a real race proven hull can do.

Это лишнее. Мощности итак с запасом.
А вот транцевые плиты надо менять на размер побольше.
А то взлетает. Штатных не хватает для правильной регулировки.

Im bummed my new spartan had a motor failure that shorted my esc with only 4 runs . And brand new traxxas batteries. They don't want to cover it. They did they want me to send the parts in and then I have to pay to have it fixed. I was told there was a one year warranty from defects. Im really bummed. If anyone wants to support my hobby please ask traxxas to honor their warranty for Michael in Vancouver wa. Thanks. The spartan was awesome for 4 runs then engine seizure. No fun. I thought traxxas was legit.

traxxas makes some nice toys but they usually have problematic electronics. Usually i sell them while they work and replace with aftermarket ESC, servo and motor

You know, I've lived in the UK, and I've also studied classical music, so I've been around it a fair bit. Trust me, you don't go down the main street and hear Vivaldi or Verdi wafting out of most windows. In other words, I've heard more people blasting ian Dury than Mozart or Mahler.
