Ive ran water pumps in almost all my boats for 3 seasons now and they still work great. Only difference is i use a remote switch so i can turn them on and off. I dont like it if they run dry. My boats dont get over a 100 degrees most the time.
i tried a few different props on my spartan .the best over all was the stock one . good mix of speed and run time . i could get 8 minutes or more long as i wasnt full bore the whole time .
I actually put the stock silicone grease on them and it worked awesome. They didn't get hot even a little. Before they were almost to hot to unplug now no problems. But I will pick up some the next time I'm there the traxxas stuff is expensive. Thanks?
44mph prop was dinged up and bent. I will get a speed run with the 5000mah and see of the weight reduction will get it to 50mph. Also will do some prop changes in the future and see what works best
I got squar bolts and thumb screws from hardware store and heated the bolt and press it in a little squar chunk of 1/4" cutting board them used shoe goo to stick it in
I went to hobby store for a battery for my spartan .The store guy said the more bigger battery 🪫 more amps you install on your boat the less speed . Bigger battery won’t make run faster it will be slow cause of the weight
Yep boats like to be light to go fast. The big battery has about a 14 to 15 min run time and the smaller one run about 12min. I only saw a drop in speed buy 2 mph but it is much harder to flip meaning less retrieving it. The prop in this video as all bent that's why it was so slow. But on a calm day i get 54 with hot racing brace prop sharpened and balanced.
Water pumps are completely un necessary. Dual rudder with 4x8mm water lines is more than sufficient. When those pumps fail, and they eventually will you will have zero water flow and fry your esc and motor. Traxxas batteries are junk. Buy some 100c batteries. Stock esc sucks. Only 80 amps. Get at least a 150a esc then you can try all the different props you want without frying the stock esc.
I have on the hot raceing one on but probably needs balance and sharpen and yeah the stock one got it to 49. with those bigger batteries and water pumps There is a bit of extra wait as well
Hi.. can u sahow us how did you put those extra fastener on the hatch?

Get the grease from oreillys for ignition wires

Do you have more info on the thumb screw modification for the lid?

You put all that work into your boat, but you're still using the low c rated traxxas batteries. Try a better battery and you'll get much more speed.
"Boat Gang"! :)

HOW DO YOU GET UR WATER COOLING PUMP WORKING WITHOUT THE BOAT MOVING...🤔🤔
The pumps is plugged into the receiver just like a fan would be on a rc car motor or ESC
@@chanceRc I have a vector sr80 pro... It's only puts out water when I'm moving the faster I go the better the water flow...don't have a pump😲😞
@@chanceRc what pump are you running could you link me please.

All you’re getting is 44? You need a good 44mm prop for that boat

Do you have any recommendations for a prop to try
Got 51mph with stock prop this morning. The HR prop was just hitting the rudder and was dinged up.
@@chanceRc stock plastic prop?! That’s good speed if so.
Change the connectors get some castle creations
That would void the life time warranty
If you don't want to replace the connectors atleast make sure they are clean but I would get QS-8 anti-spark connectors
xt 90 is better
plastic crap waste of money
