there is just something that's so pessimistic and self-ironic but yet so spot-on about your humour in these videos that keeps me addicted.. It is just too relatable. Always cheers me up big time
The shots taken on the industrial 100 are in a league of their own, absolutely love how they look and feel, feeling like paintings more than photos edit: just got to the variochrome shots and omg this video just keeps on giving, my eyes have been truly blessed.
Thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end. * The motel sign with the deep sky. * Pretty much all your B&W work for exposure and crispness. The building exteriors are really great, consistently making pleasing images from sketchy structures. Leveraging on that, the ghost town shots were particularly good examples of such. * The pink bathroom. I never thought a toilet could look so pretty or apropos for the decor. The shower was nice too. (Your little fake-out was hysterical.) * The booze ad setup. * The outdoor shots, especially that hidden lake. Again, crisp. * Those Fuji colors do rock. The Gold performed well too. * The quaint motels and their quaint surroundings. * The food...just the talk of it made it sound so good. * Your narrative, which pulled me along like a river of syrup. You really have a good voice for this. * The entire road trip atmosphere throughout. * With all the talk of showers and stinking, you needed a beach volleyball scene. Although longer than usual, this was good flypaper. I was stuck on this for its content the entire time, every bit of it.
Either this dude knows something we don't about Kodak/aerochrome and this is just one long bit leading to greatness, or he's just fucking with us. Either way, I'm here for it.
Thank you Jason for always motivating myself to pick up the camera and take some photos whilst in a bit of a slump, you are the best. Sorry to hear about the Areochrome hope you get some more soon
Gotta love watching Jason on a Friday night. Like downing a bottle of NyQuil to balance out the over optimistic excitement of finally reaching the weekend. Balance is the key to happiness.
The picture quality of 16mm is much much better any 8mm. And I like the matching glow filter on the video cameras. These travel videos are getting more and more well-produced!
Just love the subtle lines you find to composite your shots. Even if overall composition is blend or passive you find that extra element that weights everything in place. In short, I like your compositions very much. Warmest regards from Austria.
So much entertainment and great photos crammed into a 40 minute uhh and and the shots from that Fuji industrial is just amazing well done sir all the best from Reykjavík 👌🏻
Took my procrastinating ass a while to watch this masterpiece, but watching this fullfilled some of my inner sorrow. Time to get exited to shoot film again and notice that only 5/1000 of my shots are average or good, before moving back to the dslr world. Thank you.
First time viewer to your channel and love the workflow! Can’t wait to check out some more content. I just picked up a VI as well and didn’t wanna love it either.. But I’m really enjoying it.
IDK how you do it dawg, but your videos are always A1. I am simply commenting for engagement to support you. Keep it up. I hope to get to your level of film photography
I’ve only ever shot one roll of Fuji Industrial 100, in 2020 - and I’ve been wanting to get some more ever since. The colours weren’t always great, and it was overcast Britain, but there was a charm to it
I used to live in independence but only a year. Worked there for work. It’s definitely out there but the eastern sierras are beautiful. Great video and nice shots.
At first I was like 'Come on Jason. I have to go to bed and this is a 40 minute video. Probably have to watch it another time'. But then I saw the first frame of the toilet and I was all in. Good job, I suppose.
Nice video, the first time I went to Bodie was almost 50 years ago bouncing through 15 miles of washboard. We got camp there and the ranger turned on the water for us .our dog was running around carrying cow patties around. Today it's too commercial I went there a couple of years ago and while it's still neat there are so many people it's hard to get a shot without someone in it It's still worth going to see but I'm glad I got to that first time when the only people was me and my wife and the ranger.
I still have to frame the toilet photo and find a delicious place to hang it 🚽Come to Ireland to photograph the many abandoned buildings we have around the place. Also, great episode 👍🏻
Great video and photos Jason. I really enjoy the acting-comedy part, love it!! Btw what is the spookiest experience that you guys encountered on the abandoned properties?
ah finally, serotonin
there is just something that's so pessimistic and self-ironic but yet so spot-on about your humour in these videos that keeps me addicted.. It is just too relatable. Always cheers me up big time
Jason's Post-ironic grace
Same here, the exact reason why I'm a sucker for Jason's videos!
Btw nice avatar! I loved the Moomins as a kid! And still do...
self deprecation?
Would you say he's almost a bit 'NEGATIVE'?
This was a beautiful journey. I’m excited for the channel to slowly become an improv sitcom between you and Caleb in motel rooms across America.
Don't forget the four-hour barbecue mukbangs!
The shots taken on the industrial 100 are in a league of their own, absolutely love how they look and feel, feeling like paintings more than photos
edit: just got to the variochrome shots and omg this video just keeps on giving, my eyes have been truly blessed.
They do look like they’re from a Ghibli movie. Love it
The more stoned I get, there more I understand you guys
@@chrisdunderdale watched it stoned aswell
F*ck aerochrome, I just want Fuji Industrial back in production
They reminded me classic chrome
A 40 minute delight. Wow. Incredible shots. I'm always itching to grab my camera after watching one of your videos
This is like another level of art; visual composition with stand up comedy commentary.
I’d recommend to anyone shooting color negatives, to make color prints in their own darkroom. That’s 90% of the fun and work. A labor of love
Thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end.

Watching and listening to your dry humour is remarkably soothing.
Thank you Jason for always motivating myself to pick up the camera and take some photos whilst in a bit of a slump, you are the best. Sorry to hear about the Areochrome hope you get some more soon
This dudes upload schedule always lands on my day off of work and I freaking love it. Thankyou!
By far the best photography “UA-camr”, or maybe just the only one I would be able to tolerate on a road trip.
Gotta love watching Jason on a Friday night. Like downing a bottle of NyQuil to balance out the over optimistic excitement of finally reaching the weekend. Balance is the key to happiness.
yay! my boiiis back at it again. this is my favorite soap opera/documentary/comedy/horror series! 🙂
"Nothing is candid if you believe in destiny" these halfass philosophical quotes are why I watch this channel.
The picture quality of 16mm is much much better any 8mm. And I like the matching glow filter on the video cameras. These travel videos are getting more and more well-produced!
more and more well-produced!: ???
Just love the subtle lines you find to composite your shots. Even if overall composition is blend or passive you find that extra element that weights everything in place. In short, I like your compositions very much. Warmest regards from Austria.

The Fuji industrial shots are magnificent!! Love the yellow filter on the B+W too.
That T Max yellow filter combo is *chef's kiss*
Grainydays = Comedy Gold
Something about the voigtlander is making the photos more impactful in my opinion. I love the comparison you're doing. Good work Jason, good work 👏🏾
Took my procrastinating ass a while to watch this masterpiece, but watching this fullfilled some of my inner sorrow. Time to get exited to shoot film again and notice that only 5/1000 of my shots are average or good, before moving back to the dslr world. Thank you.
Another great photo of a Toilet!!
The skits get better and better 👍

IDK how you do it dawg, but your videos are always A1. I am simply commenting for engagement to support you. Keep it up. I hope to get to your level of film photography
Love the use of what I assume is super 8 and 16mm film amongst the b-roll. Something I'm playing with myself lately. Love the vid
Excellent photography and video!
another outstanding video in a fine body of work.
I’ve only ever shot one roll of Fuji Industrial 100, in 2020 - and I’ve been wanting to get some more ever since. The colours weren’t always great, and it was overcast Britain, but there was a charm to it
I'd kill to get ahold of some of that stuff.
I'll settle for some Fujicolor 100 for the time being.

21:34 transition was so smooth!
Lovin' that T Max - started using it in the late 80s when it first came out - still great
You make such beautiful images. Amazing work!
Jason is making a book? About time!
I used to live in independence but only a year. Worked there for work. It’s definitely out there but the eastern sierras are beautiful. Great video and nice shots.
Great work, everything!
love your sense of humour
Great video... laughed the entire time and loved the shots!
Fwiw, the courthouse at the 20:13 mark was an exterior location in Out of the Past, one of the greatest noir films of all time.
just a beautiful video
I’ve been to Bodie! I loved it! I stayed til blue hour and it was all so pretty
Just amazing!
And as always, I love your depth outro. I would love to know how you do it one day.
Always love your trip videos makes me want to clock out and hit the road
Those are some sick locations! I think in my neck of the woods, most urbex spots are heavily obscured by trees
New vid let's go, time to watch it 100 times in 1 month
This video is a beast. Thank you gents.
We need a photobook of the most beautiful toilets
Best UA-cam Video Name in years
Nice, keep an eye out for Caleb's take: 'Whilst Jason Showers' - I hear he finishes that one real strong.
Some of my favorite photos I've ever taken were at Bodie on Tmax with a red filter.
Just amazing
so when did the 16mm join the lineup? Or am i late to the festival?
At first I was like 'Come on Jason. I have to go to bed and this is a 40 minute video. Probably have to watch it another time'. But then I saw the first frame of the toilet and I was all in.
Good job, I suppose.
Wow~! Amazing passion and sacrifice🙏
Do you wear suncream?

Great video and photos Jason. I really enjoy the acting-comedy part, love it!! Btw what is the spookiest experience that you guys encountered on the abandoned properties?
The flipped shot at 36:48. Intriguing.
Great video!
Damnnn, those shots from Bodie slap harder than the heartburn and intestinal contraction from spicy mountain dew
Head up to Oregon, misty forests moss covered buildings, cool stuff to look at.... once you find it.
