Here’s what I remember.
It wasn’t a great time for Black Sabbath. Tony Iommi was the only original member there and the hall was less than half full. Some people were sitting on the floor and could still see the band!
Tony didn’t seem happy and made a few mistakes.
Dave ‘the beast’ Spitz threw some of his plectrums into the crowd.
The drummer threw his drumsticks into the crowd at the end which caused a minor fight for them.
There was some weird guy in the audience randomly screaming. Pale white face and black hair, probably smoking and tripping is all that he do, and yes, he was wearing boots!
That was probably Ozzy.

I saw the last show with Glenn Hughes singing. Glenn Hughes sounded horrible, the show lasted about 5 songs with an extra long Tony Iommi guitar solo alone on stage to end the show. A very memorable show but disappointing. A few years I did get see Ray Gillen live in Badlands.

Nunca havia ouvido esse registro do Ray Gillen, confesso que me espantei com tibre de voz dele, perfeito! Não deixou nada a desejar para o grande Dio...
Tem o eternal idol em estudio com a voz dele aqui no tube. Ele gravou antes da saída do Sabbath e posteriormente foi lançado com Toni Martin.
Fez justiça mas ao meu ver não tem o mesmo domínio muscular, a consistência, com aquele canto de garganta aberta e com aquele fabuloso espectro de efeitos de cores vocais diferentes que Ronnie tinha, Dio era um cantor mais virtuoso e com uma voz mais poderosa no geral.
@@luamoliveira3467il n’y a pas de comparaison possible entre Ray/Ronnie🤷🏻♀️Deux Monstres, des voix différentes et pour une même reprise… en EX: Heaven& Hell, un style qui convient mieux à Ronnie🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤘🏿Années après années si on reprend les versions de Heaven/Hell, avec l’intonation de la voix… Ronnie est plus merveilleux que jamais🙏Sa version , peu avant son décès est un « Pur Chef-d’œuvre🤘🏿malgré son cancer♥️🤘🏿idem pour « Children of the Sea » totale différence, mais RAY, it’s OK for Children… and NO for Heaven /Hell💤💋But LOVE, LOVE RAY♥️💋

Acho que o black sabath foi a banda que mais mudou de vogalista nos anos 80 deveria ser tanta briga , droga e ego que ninguém se aguentava.

It's a shame Iommi never played Zero the Hero again after the Born Again tour . Just played the riff a little on this tour . Both Gillen and later Tony Martin could have sang that song well i think .

7th Star was with Glenn Hughes. They did record Eternal Idol with Ray in the studio but it was never (?) officially released. It is on youToob though

Ray Guillen cantava muito mais muito mais alto que o Dio e cantava bem melhor que ele, infelizmente ele entrou em uma época muito ruim da banda onde foi contratado mais não recebia aí resolveu sair semanas antes da masterizacao final do The Eternal idol, uma pena
Ray é nada comparado a Dio!
Dio nunca foi foi um cantor absolutamente virtuoso e mais consistente e versátil comparado ao Dio, ele não tem o mesmo domínio do instrumento vocal e esse fabuloso espectro de efeitos de cores vocais que Ronnie tinha.
@@kitcarson3714 Sim, muita gente comenta por pura emoção e não tem racionalidade no argumento e muito menos o básico de conhecimento de fisiologia vocal; Ray nunca teve tanta disciplina nos agudos e tanta qualidade no registro inferior, ele costumava até soar estridente demais e meio desafinado em certos momentos, nunca teve a mesma consistência, intensidade rítmica, a virtuosidade técnica e o mesmo domínio muscular perfeito do mecanismo vocal como Ronnie; Basta assistir as performances de Ronnie com Rainbow em Chicago 1978, nas performances dele em Ottawa no Canadá e em San Francisco nos anos de 1982 com o Sabbath e principalmente em Manchester 1983 e pra assim tirar suas conclusões, não tem como comparar em termos de capacidade vocal geral.

@@kitcarson3714 Sim, Ray pra mim é um dos melhores cantores de rock/metal que surgiram naquela época e um grande talento mas comparado a Dio, ele tinha certas limitações vocais bem perceptíveis, mais um cantor muito promissor naquela época e pena que durou muito pouco em vida.
