If you like seeing pups begin to flip the switch leave a like and subscribe I have a feeling you’ll be seeing some squirrels drop from a few trees this fall with ole Debra lol
Well, no more than we appreciate your craft and promotion of certainly one of the finest and underrated breeds in dogland! Heck, that’s apropo, granting your channel is one of the finest and unrated amongst the tree dog options! Can’t wait to see your subs and likes match the quality! Thanks!
Wow thanks! Debbie is a good girl. The bloodsuckers are why superheroes wear neoprene. I’m a wuss I guess but l usually wear a wetsuit. I notice my dog dose not welt up. Heartworm comes from getting bit by three different kinds of mosquitoes and we got them all here in the Midwest.
Good Stuff man! It’s good to see others hitting it in the summer. I’ve been running a year old Mullins Feist since May. The heat is frustrating, but man is it nice to have the woods to myself!!
Thank you, and yeah I go all year round. I’m lucky outside of the rut people don’t really bow hunt here, and our deer gun season is only a week long so I have plenty of space.
@@stark_outdoors I’m jealous of that! For the most part everyone I run into is pretty cool. Give and take I guess. I get a 9 month squirrel season and year round coon season. I’ll deal with the occasional pricks to get the chance to run year round. Anyways man, great video. I’m going to subscribe. I just started the Tree Talkin podcast you are on. Sounds great so far. Not a lot of squirrel talk out there, and that’s my favorite.
Everyone is always looking forward to fall so they can get in the woods......I'm always looking forward to summer so I can have the woods all to myself! Nice job on the video!
It depends on the dog. She acts smart enough and interested enough that she doesn’t need stuff like that. She seems very natural to try and look up and smell for stuff. I try to not do it unless absolutely necessary. The best ones in my experience haven’t needed any caged game or drags.
Any tips on training squirrel dog on public land? (considering the rules during offseason) or is it wise to get a pup couple months before season starts and train the commands and have a live squirrel so they get use to the smell/sight and then once season start training in actual woods. Hog dogs is different ofc but if I read correctly think on public land training you need your dog on a leash? Dont know how to actually train that way. Sure I have some private area and can let it run but it’s small where the training session will be super short…
All states and pieces of public land have different rules and laws so be sure you know exactly what they are. Don’t mess with anything caged too much maybe 2 to 3 times in its entire life when it’s 6-8 months old, then just take it to the woods
