IDEA: we rented a mini van for a week to see if we would love it or hate it. We actually ended up really liking it. It just worked so well for our family of 5. Maybe try that?

Mini vans are dorky as heck but I’ll be honest... I love mine!!! Never in a million years thought I would own one, and I actually only have ONE kid! But it is soooo worth it.

us too! I couldn't stomach paying 40-55,000 for a suburban got the minivan and never looked back! Husband loves it and we call it the black Lambo! (it's black and the kids love it when we pretend it's a Lamborghini)

I have 3 kids also (2 elementary school boys and a baby girl about 3ish weeks younger than Ella) and at the end of the day, I'm just ready to sit down and not tend to anyone, not hear TV or video games or get things for people or nurse the baby...the list could go on. Lol My husband gets off work at night a lot of times, so he'll come home around 10pm and see me sitting on the couch on my phone or something and it'll just be silent. He's always like "why are you sitting in silence?". Or he'll try to be the cool dad if the kids don't have school the next day and he'll let them stay up! After a little while I'm like "okay, time for bed!!". None of them really understand that it isn't just me wanting some time to chill, I actually need that time at the end of the day to decompress, regroup and just enjoy some quiet time to myself. Oh and our baby doesn't sleep through the night, so my "me" time is very limited. She still nurses about every 2 hours around the clock! So a few moments to myself are cherished!

I swore up and down I would NEVER get a minivan until my husband got me in one and I fell in love with it! We got a Chrysler Pacifica with a DVD player and it's been amazing. So easy to get the kids in and out plus they can watch their movies. I highly suggest one lol

There are some 3rd row SUV's that are not that much longer than the jeep. The grand Cherokee I think is one of the bigger mid size SUVs. The 3rd row would give more space I think without feeling overwhelming when driving if you get one that is not a complete giant!

Did you have to elevate any of the kids cribs when they transitioned? I’m dealing with a reflux baby..
I just saw a bunch of mini van comments, and I just wanted to throw my two cents in. I’m not a mom, but I am a daycare provider for 2 fantastic little boys, and at one point I had 4 kids under my care. I drove a Nissan Pathfinder and I LOVED it for the kids. It has optional 3rd row seating and while I had all 4 kiddos, I managed to fit the car seats for a 7 year old, and a 3 year old in my third row. I would let the 2 kids that were sitting in the third row, get in through the back hatch and then climb over the seats. So I would put the 8 and 3 year old in first, and let them start getting buckled, while I got the other 3 year old and the infant in the 2nd row buckled and secured. Then I would go back and check to make sure that the 3rd row kids got their car seats all buckled and positioned correctly. I always made sure they were all safe but never had to use a minivan. Honestly, the third row seating kids that I had loved the experience. They thought of it like a treat and they enjoyed crawling over the seat and being rambunctious boys.
Also! We love your channels!! The three year old I’m currently caring for loves to watch one of your videos around breakfast time, and it gives us fun ideas to do before afternoon preschool! You guys are amazing!!
