Great video! I used this video to replace my hotend. The printout was perfect. I didnt know about the REVO when i ordered a new hotend from Prusa. I will be ordering on in the future. Thanks for the video!
Hardened nozzles. When? Please!! Got a brand new revo sitting in it's box because I can't use it without a hardened nozzle. Any kind of time frame at all?
Helped me get it installed! Ran into issues with firmware support being a bit weird but I think I got it working on my Mk3s+ by running prusa firmware 3.11.0 instead of the latest 3.13.2
The better thing to do would be to upgrade to 3.13.2 BUT using the E3DREVO Version of the firmware in Prusas Github Repo. I had issues with the PID calibration on my 3.13.2 (default) firmware, did a reset, didn't work and checked the github. Saw the E3DREVO Version of the firmware, flashed it, worked like a charm.
Any Update about the Prusa Firmware / Revo stability issue ? Did not had time to Upgrade My printer And read about the warning of updating . SO for now I am waiting to upgrade... Both Firmware and Revo... Might just install the Revo and wait for the firmawre but news would be great! cant wait to experiemnt with all the nozzles...
Hey E3D? Any word on when the hardened nozzles will be introduced? My Revo6 and Revo Micro are sitting in their boxes until the hardened nozzles are released.
Hey E3D READ THIS! Video info needs to mention the firmware problem: Running 3.12.2, my Mk3S hangs on PID calibration! It worked after downgrading the firmware to 3.11. This has been an issue since March I think, why no mention in the video or info? I had to search around, and it was easy to find the solution, but this video is just incorrect.
Why are the wires so long with the Revo? Seems very unnecessary for them to be that long. It's already a PITA jamming everything in the little box that prusa should have made larger, why add to the problem?
That's nice and everything but why would you provocatively put an E3D sticker on th Pursa Motor and then proceed to not put said sticker in the Revo Prusa Edition Box? I think it's kind of essential and should be included.
i installed mine but now the printer stops heating and says there's a thermal anomaly. also i tried to do a thermal calibration and it stops heating immediately after i start.
I've reached out to support a couple times over the past 2 days and haven't heard back. My heater core seems to have failed and I need warranty support. Please let me know!
MY PID calibration makes the temperature shoot up really high, very quickly beyond the 205 degrees temperature I entered. Then it instantly says completed. I hope I wasn't supplied with the incorrect voltage. (Received an email from E3D saying that 12V cores were being shipped with 24V hotends)

I am literally just starting the install of the REVO on my MK3S and I see this is scheduled to “premier” in 4 hours. Why not just publish it like a normal video? It would be great to watch it first, but I’m not going to wait.
Your English so please pronounce the letter Z as zed not zee! So irritating. I am sure that our friends in the good ole USA will not be too put out by you speaking like an English man..
I installed the Revo on my MK3S+; it's an upgrade in every sense of the word! Great video!
i'm still waiting on the harder nozzles

Really glad to see e3d moving in this direction this is wonderful for innovation
This is a great video, You hit all the key points

Pre-orders are open now, shipping starts mid-November: e3d-online.com/blogs/news/revo-obxidian
My next upgrade for sure!
great tutorial! 👏
Excellent video! completed my swap with zero issues
This is what we love to hear!

Love my Revo six on my Prusa!
The heater doesnt have polarity, so it doesnt matter which way you put the cables into the einsy board! Had to look this up in the manual.
Literally says that in the video.
I like this video very informative and simple
I followed Prusa's instructions and my box is not that clean. LMAO I'm jealous! My box is a rat's nest of wires. But hey my Revo 6 is working great!
same over here haha
My takeaway: it's going to be fiddly.
JK, I hope. Thanks for the clear instructions. OTOH, when is Revo ObXidian coming out?
The Hotend will not work under firmware 3.12.0. Thermal anomaly error.
Why are the wires so long with the Revo? Seems very unnecessary for them to be that long. It's already a PITA jamming everything in the little box that prusa should have made larger, why add to the problem?
At least for my MK3S+, having the PTFE tube stick out 10mm makes it a millimeter or two too long.
Super.
Thank you so much!
Thanks that's a good guide. Can we have one for the Prusa Mini?
Coming soon!
is the upgrade process exactly the same for MK3S and not the + model?

I just went back to firmware 11
And it works now
Go to firmware 11 that fixed the problem

Sadly my revo isn't working on my Mk3.
What about a MK3s with BMG Extruder?
can you trim the extended Cable in the case where the motherboard is
do you need a 12v or a 24v?
24V for Prusa MK3S+
When obsidian nozzle?
Revo six ooozes badly on my mk3s+. Pid tune done numerous times.

Too many steps are "a little bit fiddly" though
My revo six just clogs mid print :/

Should I have got a sticker? I didn't get a sticker. Petty I know but I'd love a sticker lol
looks like he had a whole sheet of stickers :(
I have an original Mk3... Meh, how different can it be.... :D
Not too different at all. This video from Joel might be helpful! ua-cam.com/video/3b66PJQWDlw/v-deo.html

When was the last time this printer was cleaned. Its Filthy!
Happy enough to finally build my Hermera into a scratch built Prusa Bear clone: ua-cam.com/video/n-TmFX40hAk/v-deo.html
Hmmm…..firmware still does not work….sell and forget! Never buy E3D again!
Install the Prusa Revo firmware and do a factory reset. Worked for me.
