I have done a lot of rehabbing, animal mental health is slowly growing as a legit field. There is a growing distinction between mental health and behavioral issues. More drive to develop tools that don't depend on just tranqing them or focusing primarily on the humans comfort. I recently learned that there's a program in my area that is mimicking social services.. the goal being to improve quality of life and intervene before things become truly problematic. I'm thrilled, I really hate that we focus only on the humans desires and the bad animal label when there are chemical imbalances, post trauma issues, etc.
Before our Belgian Malinois passed 4 years ago to cancer, he had ptsd as well, but the meds made him high and uncoordinated all the time so we had to stop giving them to him. Anytime it would storm I’d turn the fan on high and have a loud video playing to help block out the noise. He was a retired bomb-sniffing dog for the military, dude did 3 tours in total. Any weapons would scare him, and he’d have really bad nightmares. Whenever he had nightmares, I would wake him up as gently as I could to try not to scare him, lay next to his dog bed for a while, or sleep in the floor next to him if he had more than one in a night. Either way, I’d stay awake for an extra hour to make sure he didn’t have another one. He really opened my eyes about the mental struggles animals can go through. I miss him a lot sometimes. He showed my family how we can be better pet owners for all future pets. He changed our lives for the better.
I have a big fat american bulldog in the UK, no preditors here. If its dark she has a glow collar, tag that flashes red for traffic just in case she gets away, a harness and a lead. People are something else.
By the way ginger was rehomed!!! Somebody took her in a while ago and now she’s living her life with somebody who actually has other tibertan mastiffs and is experienced with the breed! :) she’s happy and healthy though I don’t remember who the user was but I’m pretty sure they’re active on TikTok
Thank you for this! Tibetan mastiffs are such wonderful dogs, but they require training, and obviously, that imbecile isn't capable of providing the correct level of training for anything other than an air fern.
My heart broke for Annie. She was all wags until she walked through those shelter doors.I hope that pup got the loving home that she deserves because this is just heartbreaking. I also think it's disgusting to record your kids reaction to knowing their dog isn't coming home. They need to shut down these channels.
I can't even fathom the lack of love it would be to take the dog you've raised since puppyhood back to the shelter, especially for something that basic training, and lifestyle structure would fix.
I can’t even believe the little girl was happy about it and the mum said well done it’s called laziness because these UA-camrs can’t even give proper training! The proper training would’ve stopped Annie jumping and chewing and running around the house
The Kong story is infuriating. I live low income and have two cats, when I moved into my house I did everything to make the balcony secure so that they couldn't fall and get lost etc. To think that someone with that amount of money does absolutely nothing to protect his pet.... I just don't understand.
I think it’s because we know and realize they aren’t disposable. Someone with an insane means/income might look at it like they could have more/better/or different pets as they please if they didn’t have to deal with many at once, idk, that’s where my brain went. (As someone barely scraping by w 3 cats who were in bad situations)
And the way he didn’t even seem remotely sad about it. Even if it’s just 2 years, you spend just about every day with these animals. I’m still crying quite often when I’m reminded of my late kitty who passed away around 4-5 months ago.
No one talking about the fact that huskies DO NOT come in the color "merle" and the guy describing his colour as exotic is a big red flag. That is exactly the wording used by puppy mills to describe their puppies so they sell better. It always enrages me that the richest of influencers that have the money to buy from a reputable, ethical breeders almost always end up supporting these horrible places.
@@jesusfistus3183 and the fact that they are high energy dogs who need vigourous training and constant excerise.... Logan can't even take care of himself let along dogs that literally can not just sit still and look pretty...
That last clip of the little girl broke my heart. You could tell she was sad but then it almost looked like when she noticed she was being filmed she quickly changed her behavior…horribly, horribly sad.
@shirashiraonthewall I found that "Think about it..." with the little girl looking sideways at the camera and forcing herself to stop from being sad very, very disconcerting.
as someone who has a dog of 10 years that I have raised since he was a puppy and have a 14 month old puppy, i cried a lot in this video. it breaks my heart that people think of these animals are items for status, class, or content. these are living beings and if you cannot commit to a decade+ of providing the best life that you can for an animal, DO NOT GET ONE.
Pets are for life and they deserve the best care. It's a huge thing to get a pet and some people don't do any research about animal in how big it gets, what care it needs, what is toxic to it, and how long it will live. I have a ball python and I've had him for 10 years now and I expect that he can live up to 30 years or more, and it was a big decision to commit to that. I've a lot of experience with snakes, my first was a corn snake that lived a full life of 24 years.
My sister keeps getting her son dogs but he is autistic and violent and gets bored with them quickly and wont help so my sister get frustrated doing all the work and he hits my sister making dogs scared so they get rid of them and then a few months laster they buy another dog😢 breaks my heart she wont listen to me.they currently have two new puppies one only a week a go and she already treating to get rid of them😢 . i personally would love a dog but never would buy one because i know if they needed the vet i wouldn't have the money on the spot so i wont get one because im not bloody selfish 😢. Hate bad pet owners.
the dog being returned to the pound was so sad. that poor dog didn't know what she was doing wrong and she didn't get a proper chance to learn. let's hope someone found her before the shelter took her to the "shed."
Imo the saddest part is that the dog was still so young, proper exercise and training and she would've made the perfect family dog. my best guess is she was destroying the house and jumping the fence cause she didn't get enough exercise so she was bored and frustrated .
I think Logan Paul's issue is that he doesn't view animals as animals, and more as characters. Any real animal lover would understand that Kong being eaten by coyotes is not the coyotes' fault. They're wild animals doing what they do in the place that they live. Logan talks like they're just the villains in this little story and acted out of malice, when in reality Kong wouldn't have been killed if he'd just done his job and put things in place to protect his animal. Also I think it's safe to say that the majority of people who really do their research on huskies and their needs, don't go and get a husky lmao Edit: Oh, Ginger! She isn't a bad dog, she just had the misfortune of landing with an irresponsible owner!
Don't forget that he braged on a podcast how he shoot a coyote in a living earia, with bad seeing conditions, withouth a licens for the gun. He could have easily shoot someone else's dog, or someone.
@shirashiraonthewall it can definitely be done, depending on the dog. ❤ I have a rescue husky with crazy prey drive outdoors, but she's very sweet and careful with my cats indoors. They understand the difference.
That girl in the Sam and Nia video was clearly coached. She looked SO sad. They just used their daughter to make their choice seem more ok to their audience
Yes. Why is he telling her to „think about it - think about your reaction“? That is sick. Like sadness or anger has no place. The dog was very loving, I hope it found a new owner. Disgusting people. Don’t want to word it like that, but what did that poor dog do wrong? Still very young, easily trainable. Ofc not, if you have two little children running around - but that was THEIR choice. Poor beautiful dog.
"All dogs will be bad dogs if their owner doesn't train them." Yep. Because it's not the dog's fault for following what it's biology tells it to do! There are no truly bad dogs, just bad owners.
right!! pets will always be animals before they are your friend-regardless if the species is domesticated. honestly, humans are the same way. if you’re raised in an environment where you are constantly in survival mode, you will mostly act on instinct. if your body thinks the only way to survive is to act aggressively, then you will. it is natural biology. animals will always prioritize survival. it is owners responsibility to make sure your dog doesn’t feel put in the position where survival mode is necessary
Very true, I got my dog from someone who was afraid of him because he bit a lot and was very aggressive ( 10kg yorkie) He's with me for almost 3 years now, and he's the sweestest boy ever, it took a lot of time and patience to get to this point, but it was all worth it
@@NightmareRex6 Yeah. If giving a kid an electronic constantly is someone's method of parenting, it's a bad method. Obviously there can be benefits using it to a degree, but that's like less than an hour a day sort of thing, and after they're like 4-6.

My god, absolutely heartbreaking to see that dog brought into the shelter with her tail tucked and head low. Devastating... 😢 She must have felt so confused, she was just being a dog, an untrained one... Shame on them.
@trinityrhino which part is duh? If you can have a massive tibetan mastiff and a teeny pom, why wouldnt people believe that there is a breed of pig that stays small?
@@RakkiXIIIcox they ain’t like dogs which we have been breeding for at least 200 years and almost definetely more than that. we have no need to experiment with pigs they aren’t used to protect they are used for food so we haven’t exactly had the time or effort to make genetic modifications. just common sense tbh
@@Grassgrassgras the only thing that is common sense about pigs is that they go "oink", if a type of pig is advertised as a "teacup pig" with its defining characteristic being that its small, the average person has no reason to think that they wont stay small.

@@shirashiraonthewall Yeah, I miss her and her hilarious videos. But she did the right thing for her mental health. At the level she was at the audience becomes so toxic.
Absolutely no emotion when talking about his dog that got killed. He didn't care about that dog. Also, just gonna say it: If you Lose a pet and then get another pet with the express purpose of 'replacing" the one that you lost, you never loved that animal to begin with. I still think about a couple cats I had as a kid, that have been dead for nearly 30 years. Because I loved those cats more than anything.
I thought the exact same thing. I’d be way too traumatised/hysterical about my dog getting mauled to be able to stay THAT calm and casual while making a video about it. Also the video title “Replacing Kong” made me CRINNGGEEE and immediately confirmed to me he never gave a shit about it. No animal is replaceable.
I don't think you are wrong about literally the sentiment of "replacing" an animal, but people grieve differently. When I lose an animal, as much as they meant to me, I'm ready to give another animal a loving home
I agree this guy didn't seem to care about his dog because he didn't get hysterical or cry and i agree you shouldn't get an animal to "replace" another but you shouldn't judge everyone the same as that louse! One: because people grieve differently and maybe getting another is the only way they can bare the heartache. And two: some people have emotional or physical problems to where they absolutely have to get another asap. Like for example a seeing eye dog dies well that blind owner needs another seeing eye dog ( although some don't because the loss breaks their heart too much). So not all should be judged as the same as a person who clearly shows no feelings.
I did the replacement thing when I was a kid but to be honest for me it was just a coping mechanism to be less sad when I'd lose them, now I feel like shit and miss all of them
Also coming in to say that I was someone who got another dog after my first one died as a kid. (Just laid down and went to sleep for good on her own, very peacefully.) We cried. We grieved. Our house felt so empty without a dog in it, so my parents and I made the decision to get another 8 days later. We still weren’t completely over my first dog’s death, which made the transition rough through the puppy blues, but that second pup stole our hearts, too. Still living, 15 years later. ❤
There are people who just get advantage of their own children let alone adopted animals. But here are some good UA-camr example to lighten up the mood: dog: Jenna Marbles cat: Cristine (SimplyNailogical), Safiya Nygaard bird: Jaiden Amination there could be more influencers/youtubers who are great to their pets, but these are the ones I watch.
I love sodapets here on UA-cam. Not only a good pet owner but also good information about proper pet care and reviews on videos that are typically seen as "funny" animal videos and why they aren't so funny. I love sodapets 🎉 In earlier videos you can here a bird in the background imitating the intro 😅🫶🧿
Mikey the macaw and friends is also a good one. I watch sone others but forget their names. Basicly any channel that shows people not only the good times but also the downsides to owning a specific pet.

Coyote rolls would have done wonders to keep Annie in the yard and saved kong I honestly believe they should be more commonly used. I hate that all these animals were hurt in this way and remember there’s so such things as a bad dog just bad owners

Annie deserved better. She looked to be such a sweet girl with a great temperament. She only needed some proper training and clear boundries. Owning a dog is a big repsonsibility. My family has a little labrador on 1 years old that pretends to be a landshark atm but we know that this is a fase that will most likely go away when he's around 3-4 years old. And we could never give him away no matter what because we love that pup with all of our hearts.
That broke my heart. My rescue was nearly fully grown and way more than I was expecting. He’d accidentally hurt me all the time, scared the shit out of my cat at one point. He’d hop our fence and be gone for hours sometimes. So I researched more, got him anxiety meds (that he proudly does not need anymore) and turned training him into my full time passion. The thought of sending him back would kill me. Watching Annie go back broke my heart.
it breaks my heart so much that annie was brought back to the very shelter she left as a puppy; thinking she'd found her forever home. A KILL shelter never the less. I got my dog from a kill shelter on his very last day. he was 6 months old and was going to be euthanized at 4pm that very day if we didn't take him home. We obviously did and he's now a spoiled old man (going on 11 this year!) and to think that he wouldn't get a single day more if we hadn't.. i desperately hope Annie was as lucky as my boy was and she found her real family but knowing how kill shelters work and knowing she had the bias of the youtube family's viewers; being a "high maintenance" dog who "runs around crazy inside" and "jumps fences" going against her..
Ta-Bet-tin, they come from Tibet, and they've been used as FLOCK guardians. They do terrible in an urban environment. They grew so big because they're meant to be outside. like OUT-outside, on a massive farm or the mountains. Logan's the poster child for people who shouldn't be allowed to own a pet.
I agree. not all youtubers with pets are horrible pet owners like these examples are. I watch quite a few good ones, most of them are exotic pet owners (snakes, tarantulas, reptiles, toucans, etc). They give amazing information, their animals are all healthy, well cared for, well loved, and are happy. I won't support the ones who abuse/neglect their animals or use them as status symbols.
ffs on the logan paul thing. my friend lives in the US. her yard is open to a forest, so obviously lots of coyotes around. they will only come near the house in the dark, so at night, if and when her dog (a pug/chihuahua cross, so pretty small), she would go out with him (he has a run with a leash attached so he can roam the garden but not escape) and she goes out with a flashlight and follows him about. she is taking ZERO chances with him.
I volunteer at an animal shelter, and this one time a couple came in---pretty young, kind of rich looking, if that makes sense? The guy proceeds to ask if we "have any fat cats." I was pretty confused, but I sort of pointed them in the direction of our largest cat, who weighed around 18 pounds. He was old and bonded to his sister though, so they left pet-less. I'm glad they weren't there when some of our bigger cats were. Animal obesity isn't funny or cute.
One Thing you should've pointed out when you were mentioning Teacup Pigs: those aren't a Breed. Teacup Pigs are Pigs that are kept smaller by abusive underfeeding, meaning of course that they will get way bigger once they start being properly fed. If someone is looking for a small Pig, they should look for Mini Pigs or Micro Pigs. Those actually stay small. Best Thing you can do if you get them from a Breeder, is to ask them to see the Parents to ensure that they actually belong to a small Breed
@feuerling that's why People need to research properly before getting a Pet. Can't stand it when People give away their Animals for something that would've been really easy to research
I love how at 8:55, the first thing Logan Paul brings up when finding out Maverick was torn to shreds, his first response was not how much he loved the bird or anything sentimental like that, no. It was " the Maverick BRAND.' 😶 Also, it seemed like the douche was trying to hide his laughter while trying to 'weep' and act all sad. Disgusting. Also, also, THERE ARE NO BAD DOGS..JUST BAD OWNERS. @@shirashiraonthewall the way I see it, in order to A) have kids, B) have pets or C) handle/own a gun, you need to pass a test to get that right. If you dont pass, you don't get that right (because it is a right) because at this point, something drastic is needed otherwise all this is just gonna get worse
@ajjamsen694 Cool idea. In order to have kids you need to first pass a test. I can't possibly imagine any way that white Christian nationalists that are always screaming about "birth rates", "welfare queens", "migrant invasions", "replacement theory" and "demographic shifts" could possibly weaponize something like that. I mean, it's not like they're the kind of people who would trample all over somebody's reproductive rights or anything, right? Just three small questions. Who determines the criteria for "worthiness", what do you do to control access to this right and what do you do when people inevitably violate your rule? Because, unlike acquiring a gun, the ability to obtain a baby is just something generally granted by nature so... Are we talking about taking people's children away from them by force like they did with native American and Aboriginal schools? Are we talking about forced abortions like in China or forced sterilizations like we saw America do on mostly minorities and outspoken women or like the ones Germany did on jews in the 1930's? Tell me how this isn't a terrible, monstrous idea if you actually stop to think about it.
I feel like he had to you know be "cool" in front of his friends. Which doesn't make it right but would explain the weird behavior of almost trying to laugh it off by making a dumb joke about the birds following/Brand. Logan is an absolute idiot but he had the bird since JR high(?) he even said it's the pet he's had the longest. I'm sure it hurt a bit losing him
I lost my 19 yo cat today. I would give everything to get him back. To think that people give away their pets because they're bored of them or just don't want to put effort to take care of them is beyond me.
How can they do this? I had to rehome a malinois because of my high risk pregnancy and I still regret it to this day, I remember every pet I’ve ever had and I’ve had SO MANY I used to live on 25 acres of land when I was with my parents and we had a tiny farm. Im heartbroken at these stories, none of them deserve pets, poor Kong at the start and Annie at the end imagine walking your dog into the shelter and just leaving it there, sounds like Annie needed more mental stimulation and walks to let off energy, do your research into dog breeds before buying. I had a working cocker spaniel alot of years ago who was highly energetic and needed alot of mental stimulation or he'd bounce off the walls, i used to create games in the house like hide treats and he would sniff them out.
Quick bit of educational information that was missed in this video- Logan Pauls "husky" was a genetic colour called blue merle, this colour isn't possible in husky's so the dog was very much so a 'designer dog' and not a purebred or well-bred husky. Animals like this are usually claimed to be a rare colour, mass bred by backyard unethical breeders who are in it just for the sake of making money off the animals with little actual concern for the animals they're producing or selling. Merle is a gene that when carried by both parents can lead to 25% of the litter being born mostly white while being blind, deaf or both- with increased skin issues, risks of cancer and a variety of other problems; this is called double merle. One parent having it is fine, but backyard breeders often breed parents with both having merle trying to get more of the desired coat that they can sell for more money. There is nothing wrong with buying from a reputable and ethical breeder, but the sad reality is most people are uneducated and unaware of what a real reputable breeder is and unfortunately for every 1 reputable breeder there is 20 backyard breeders pretending they're a great breeder. An ethical breeder will have registered animals, fully health test according to their breeds standards through specialized testing like OFA and Pennhip x-rays, cardiologist reports and various other animal specialist panels done, follows a specialized animal raising program for proper exposure in life, most if not always will have titles on their animal for accomplishments in either showing or sporting that prove the quality and reliability of the animals being bred, and will always have contracts stating in the case of rehoming the breeder will always take the animal back and find it a new placement. There are other qualities but this is a general list to follow. Tibetan Mastiff is pronounced Teh-beh-tan btw! These people all suck with animals. The last family telling their daughter that way though is just beyond horrid. Hope to see more videos like these!
OMG I had no idea that was a special breed. I KNOW the video was fake but like now I know 100% that’s not a rescue puppy lol what is wrong with people. I am gonna do a video on backyard breeders soon so thank you!!
@@Imnotchay It would depend on the laws in your area/country- most times there isnt laws against poor breeding practices, but there is zoning laws that limit the number of animals a person may keep (like most cities limit to 2dogs/3cats or vise versa). If there was noise complaints, foul smells or visible neglect to the animals sometimes things can be done- but more often than not it has to be pretty extreme before law will step in
It makes me so sad to see stuff like this. A Tibetan Mastiff is my favorite dog breed, and it makes me especially sad to see people take in dogs that are so difficult, just to give them up for a stupid reason.
I cried when I saw Annie being taken into the back of the shelter, she looked so terrified. It’s going to be so hard to find her a new home and that poor baby is so scared.
Greyhound racing is cruel, but if you decide to adopt an ex-racing Greyhound, you get a cuddlebug in the size of a small horse. And they don't need a lot of exercise. They are incredibly lazy. If you have a fenced in yard, they'll get their five minutes of zoomies and sleep for the rest of the day. Very gentle dogs, just keep in mind that they were breed for hunting. Keep them leashed and you're fine to go.
I appreciate your empathy to those who need to rehome a pet. We got a puppy and we loved him with all out hearts but we didn't have a garden and thought just walking him would be enough but we got a labrador/collie and hadn't realised just how much energy he would have. We couldn't keep up and it wasn't fair on our 3 cats, so we made the decision to rehome him, made sure he went with a knowledgable family who had the space. It broke our hearts and made me feel like an awful person but at least i did what was best for him and our cats. We will get another dog some day but this time they'll be a smaller/calmer breed and we're waiting till we have a home with a garden.
Oh no I absolutely understand! I had to rehome my cats who had cat AIDS because I was moving back to Australia form america and he would have died during the plane ride due to the stress. He was the love of my life and I still think about him every damn day but I would have never put him through that

We can’t forget about Jake Paul’s dogs Apollo, Athena, (Balgian Malinois) and Lil Moo (Newfoundland). As someone who’s always owned working dogs, I was HEATED when he bought Apollo and Athena and they kept jumping his fences and running through neighborhoods. It’s literally blasted all over the internet how much work it takes to own working and herding dog breeds, how easy it is for them to become neurotic, and how dangerous they can become without adequate exercise, mental stimulation, and training. I honestly wish influencers and celebrities would STOP buying pets period.
My husband's weiner dog is 22. When he was just a small puppy, his younger brother was walking with him about head height. He tripped and fell and landed on the weiner dog. My husband said he was never the same dog afterwards. He started doing weird things like licking up his own pee and he became super aggressive. He's still incredibly aggressive but he doesn't have any teeth left.
@@shirashiraonthewall I appreciated you mentioning how small dogs are incredibly delicate when young and even grown. I dont think thats a thought that crosses alot of minds when people purchase dogs.
Coyote country here, do not ever rely on a slightly taller fence. They will climb. Best deterent is angled fencing that prevents them from jumping over
Poor Kong… 😔 I live in the Netherlands where we luckily don’t have these scary animals roaming around but I still go with my chihuahua into the backyard. I mean even a diseased rat could bite her since she is so tiny. Him letting his dog out when he was fully aware of the coyotes is beyond insane. I’d let my dog pee and poop inside a thousand times instead of letting her out into danger like that. It’s unbelievable. 😓
I think Acacia Kersey needs a section in this video(or a future one!) redditt has a big thread of her neglecting her 10 animals she's owned and twitter has threads documenting her past animal neglect. One of them was her old cat Sebastian who she got in January 2015 then a year later she gave him away and the new owner posted that he had to have teeth removed and had an infection and a bunch of other things from Acacia neglecting him.
There are ppl who shouldn't be allowed to own a pet of any kind, if they do it to get attention, thats just an another level of evilness. I couldn't even finish this video, i'am sorry, i have two small dogs and what happened with Kong broke my heart. Thank you for bringing light on this wrongdoing, i have never thought about bad youtuber owners, but honestly, i'am not even watching these kind of ppl, they are not right in the head altogether.
I have a husky mix, I made a mistake a few years ago when she was 11 months old and let her outside on her own. I also have goats which are notorious escape artists. I would never intentionally allow them to meet because my dog has a very high prey drive which is typical of her breed makeup. I let her out without checking the goat fence. My dog took down a goat twice her size and I still blame myself. You know what I did? I trained my dog and never again allowed her outside on her own (which I never should have done to begin with), I have never once blamed her even immediately after it happened because she was just being a dog and following her instincts. If you have predators and prey it is your responsibility to manage them safely.
i hate when ppl buy and rehome pets constantly. but at the same time i respect rehoming them rather than neglecting or abandoning them on the side of the road somewhere. i don’t condone when ppl do this, but at leastttt they give the pet away to someone else who will hopefully properly love them.
I have a rescue dog (Greyhound) and are a pet lover and this really made me angry... I mean, they are pets, they cant be "bad" or something... No one teach them what is "good" and what isnt...
My mother’s dog went missing, the pup I grew up with, we assumed somebody dognapped him. A long while later, she let out another one, ended up going missing similarly. Turns out the neighbors heard an animal getting attacked, yet she managed not to hear or know anything about it. Mind you, that dog would never wonder around. He’d always stick to your side. Too this day I’m mad at her laziness costing Aaron’s life.
I have three birds of my own, and my family and always take the best measures to make sure they stay safe. We researched that birds live for a really long time if taken care of properly, which is why we let go of the idea of ever owning another type of pet while we have them. Logan never once thought how him buying dogs for views was putting his birds life in danger
I've always said people should have to pass a test or get a special license to be able to own a pet. Make them go through similar steps for adopting a child. Background checks. Wellness checkups, the whole thing. Ensure they are going to a proper home where they will be loved, and protected, and live their best life. People like Logan Paul just prove the point. I know a lot of rescue shelters do some of that, but not enough, and it's not a legal requirement. it also has no bearing on people who buy from breeders..... or I guess offer random people on the street money for their supposedly beloved pet. I absolutely love animals, especially dogs, but I've been putting off getting a pet because I worry that I am not responsible enough, or financially stable enough to do right by that animal and I refuse to bring one into a situation where it will have one moment of unhappiness or poor health that I could prevent. They deserve better.
Honestly some shelters just give cats away it seems while others take soooo many steps lol even calling my landlord so I guess it depends. It’s hard when the shelter is overwhelmed by dumbass people who can’t take care of their pets and give them away
I could see this being used to keep the poor from owning pets however by placing financial burdens on them they can't meet or by police as a means to hurt well meaning people who take in a pet without going through the process and leave themselves open to imprisonment, fines and/or separation from thier animal. And if you don't think the police will jump at the chance to hurt a poor and/or minority person if it means they get to collect a fine, you're living in a VERY privileged reality. Think of all the videos you've seen, a kitten just wanders up to a person who decides to keep it. And you want to make that potentially a crime?
Then I wouldn't have been allowed to have animals. And I take care of my animals more than myself, they are my babies and I would rather die than let something bad happen to them. And that is a big reason that an old classmate contacted me first, when she had to give 6 puppies a home.
I had a dog that unfortunately was killed by Coyotes. It took me a lot of time to kinda forgive myself since he ran out the door, and i didn't realize. It still pains me knowing it was a scary way for him to go. Logan has no heart if he acts that way after his pet passed away in just an awful way. It has been over 5-6 years since my Shelly passed away, and i still cry over him. I wouldn't wish it on anyone
THIS, this is an accident. What Logan did was NOT an accident, he intentionally let the dog out and I personally suspect he did it with the intention of farming resulting videos for content. You made an honest mistake so please don't beat yourself up, your pup knows you loved him and never wanted him to suffer.
this is so sadddd why do people be like this why does the world have to beeeeeee so meaaaaan especially to dogs and cats and other pets because they love you and its just so heart breaking that this happens
So, I did a bit of research and even went to the shelters Facebook page all the way back to 2015. Annie was adopted by a new family! Hope she’s living her best life!❤
Sorry back again still trying to find the other animals. Just had to add Logan has a new dog now named Quinn, and he’s a huge pitbull. He actually has a lot of the same coloring as pearl…😢
It looks like the African Grey parrot still lives with Logan in Puerto Rico. Broley lives with his and mikes videographer, and is occasionally seen in his stories.
A merle husky, are you kidding me..... that dog is going to have so many health issues 😢. I find it so disgusting that there are famous people out there that just keep getting away with animal abuse
6:16 yeah this is so staged. That dog is a husky already a very expensive dog and to top it off it has a very unique color pattern, and biggest breeder red flag its a puppy at the perfect age to be weaned from mom how lucky and coincidental. Logan definitely bought one from a breeder we just don’t know if it was an ethical breeder or a back yard breeder. Logan wanted to look good “rescuing or adopting” or he knows where he got the dog from is bad publicity, thats why he put on this show and act like the dog was a surprise. I Wouldn’t put it past him to save some bucks on a backyard breeder he couldn’t even buy a taller fence for his dog or have the brains to not film dead bodies.
25:59 I know she’s a kid but the fact that the little girl was so happy for her dog to be gone is absolutely sickening and her mother high-fiving her makes it worse , this should have been a teachable moment for the kids but instead is teaching them that if they don’t like something don’t try and fix it. Truly disappointing, but honestly I’m more disappointed in the mom and dad.
You can tell they were telling her what to say by the cut in the middle. She looks like she is about to cry. Although, my niece says or does things that sometimes makes me question if she’s okay mentally. (She is 7). Things that if they were an adult and did that it would be seen as sociopathic or psychopathic just like this little girl who should naturally as a kid be sad when their beloved pet is taken away but is celebrating instead. But as I said before I think they are telling her what to say. She looks unsure of herself. She keeps looking into the camera and fake smiles.
My family's in the process of adopting a dog. Had a hard time choising because everyone of them deserves a loving home. The thought of giving my dog away for some money to this loudmouthed jerk makes my stomach turn. Thank you for this video! Cid Dwyer also did some great vids on Influencer's and their pets. Love your whole aesthetic!
As a parrot owner that was infuriating. The one time I had to leave town for a while, I boarded them with their AVIAN VET. They can be stupidly delicate and I mean the list of things that can kill them is insanely long. Air fresheners, non-stick cookware, and even self cleaning ovens are just a few.
It's the way the little girl looked like she was on the verge of tears and then the dad kept saying "think about it, think about it" then she looked at the camera and put on a fake smile. She looked like she was trying not to cry. And it felt like they were more congratulating her for putting up the act on camera, rather than actually asking her opinion. The "think about it" felt more like a threat. That actually broke my heart.
There was a Spanish youtuber who rented a Capybara and showed it off on his channel. Another youtuber, who owns a sanctuary for endangered animals and rescues many who are victim of animal traffic, called him out on it for buying an exotic animal and how what he did was awful. He actually apologized and went to Thailand to meet the youtuber to care for rescued capybaras and they remain friends to this day. I wish all youtubers could actually admit when they are wrong instead of giving a fake apology.
I dont understand how people can't secure their animals. My puppy got out once, ONCE, and my ex's dad put up a whole new fence, replaced doors, and set up a system so we would know if a dog was outside without opening the door. The front door of my old apartment didn't latch properly unless it was deadbolted so i made sure that door was locked at all times, even if i was outside for five minutes, to keep my car safe. Its so easy to keep your animals safe
If I had a dog as a kid and my parents surrendered them back to the shelter I would have been absolutely devastated. What are they teaching that kid about animals? Not about treating them with kindness, I think.
Kong’s replacement isn’t even a full husky.. husky’s don’t come in Merle, so that’s a husky mixed with god knows what. So it’s personality is going to be unpredictable, he’s going to have behavioral issues, and have health issues.
25:47 Ik this might sound a lil crazy but she don’t look as happy as she sounds ya know? She look like she’s trying no not cry almost… idk maybe it’s just me but…
So, regarding building a higher fence, many cities/towns have height limits to fences in residential areas. 6ft in my area. Not excusing any of the behavior and lack of training, but outside surroundings may be out of their control.
Oh right yeah. They could get dog rollers tho or some sort of netting. I’m getting some for the cat. There’s definitely options if you can’t do taller fence
@@shirashiraonthewall They should just be decent humans who comprehend the love, patience, and dedication needed to take care of animals. The world would be beautiful ❤️❤️
this makes me so mad. i want a dog SO bad, but i know i don’t have the time, money, or space for one. I want to be able to properly train my dog and make sure they have everything they could ever want. to see these people buy pets ON A WHIM and neglect them/dispose of them when it’s no longer convenient makes me sick. especially when they HAVE the resources to take care of them!!! i really hope Ginger and Annie were able to find loving homes. they both seem like such sweethearts
8:06 thats disgusting that he turned his oldest friend (pet) into a joke or a bit seemingly. Look how he’s “crying” like it’s just another skit. Logan is severely out of touch with reality he should never have animals ever again they are toys/props/new video ideas/clicks/views to him. At the end he seemed a bit sadder but then made it like a joke or a show again “whys this keep happening” hmm maybe cause your influencing these things to happen funny how that works. I have a hamster and I just know if I got a call he was eaten I would be furious, sad, confused, crying I would be such a wreck I would never post a video or something that messy and vulnerable.
The most infuriating part of that last one is all they had to do was mainly EXERCISE THE DOG! Thats why most dogs are hyper and jump fences. Literally, more exercise/stimulation and i higher fence. Thats it and that poor baby knew when they got to the shelter door, she knew what that place was and still chose to trust her owners and ignore her nervousness of it. What disgusting people! Also that daughter CLEARLY didnt like what her parents did so they are disgusting parents as well 🤬
I don't follow any of these youtubers, so I'm sure I'm gonna cry a lot from things I didn't know. But I'm BAFFLED Kong's original owners sold the pup to Logan Paul that easily ?????? You could offer me all the money in the world and I wouldn't give you my precious dog, wtf!!
I have a husky lol, and the comments are right! Huskys are huge high maintenance, my husky was such a pain when she was a puppy because of how defiant she was. It took a shit ton of training and work to get her to where she is now! Husky’s are high maintenance especially when it comes to there coats, I spend about $100 or more every month on her to make sure she lives the best life she possibly can, plus husky shedding can be very difficult and hard to clean….can also be annoying at times lol but I do love to be able to get the excuse of saying “yes I have a fur baby, my husky!” I actually love her! But for the thing of it’s hard to find such an exotic breed in a shelter is not so true. I’ve seen many husky’s in shelters and I mainly think that’s because there so high maintenance and people don’t know how to properly take care of them, which makes me happy and sad sadly because if it’s a kill shelter they’ll sadly end up in forever rest. Though the way the guy who was a “fan” worded it showed me the fact of it was definitely a breeder and was complety staged. But anyway this my two cents about huskys!
Who leaves their hamster-sized dog outside ALONE at night??? It's like leaving a baby... If I ever have a dog, it's staying in the house with me and I honestly don't care if it's a pom or a mixed sausage I brought home from the streets, THE DOG IS STAYING INSIDE MY HOUSE. I feel so sorry to Kong's real owners, they probably thought it'd have had a better life with Logan 😢

The fact that Pearl had to get animal equivalent of therapy after what Logan put her through
YEP!!! Poor thing
@@shirashiraonthewallI heard pearl passed too which broke my heart
Bringing a Dog to a kill-shelter.... letting a little pom alone outside in the dark... i cant.
People are horrible :(
I have a big fat american bulldog in the UK, no preditors here. If its dark she has a glow collar, tag that flashes red for traffic just in case she gets away, a harness and a lead. People are something else.
Animal and child abusers are what made me atheist because they would've never existed if any type of God actually did something about it
Though the person was horrible, remember that kill-shelters aren’t inherently bad as they are soooo important for dogs/cats and getting them homes.
I strongly hope that some of that families fans saw that video and there was a tidal wave of people calling that shelter to adopt that dog.
YAY
Thank you for this! Tibetan mastiffs are such wonderful dogs, but they require training, and obviously, that imbecile isn't capable of providing the correct level of training for anything other than an air fern.
My heart broke for Annie. She was all wags until she walked through those shelter doors.I hope that pup got the loving home that she deserves because this is just heartbreaking. I also think it's disgusting to record your kids reaction to knowing their dog isn't coming home. They need to shut down these channels.
Oh they are unfortunately still going strong LOL
There are plenty of horse abusing channels here on youtube, UA-cam doesn't care for animal, welfare unfortunately :/
That girl looked so happy that annie was gone too 😢
I can't even fathom the lack of love it would be to take the dog you've raised since puppyhood back to the shelter, especially for something that basic training, and lifestyle structure would fix.
It’s so crazy I can’t. Makes me so mad. I need to see those kitties can u pls post on my discord!!!
@@shirashiraonthewallPosted 😊
I think it’s because we know and realize they aren’t disposable. Someone with an insane means/income might look at it like they could have more/better/or different pets as they please if they didn’t have to deal with many at once, idk, that’s where my brain went. (As someone barely scraping by w 3 cats who were in bad situations)
And it wasn't even _his_ dog. Logan bought Kong from his original owners on site and then just took him home.
Yep!!!
But let's not forget the most important point, that huskies are not made for warm temperatures like in La.
@@jesusfistus3183 and the fact that they are high energy dogs who need vigourous training and constant excerise.... Logan can't even take care of himself let along dogs that literally can not just sit still and look pretty...

as someone who has a dog of 10 years that I have raised since he was a puppy and have a 14 month old puppy, i cried a lot in this video. it breaks my heart that people think of these animals are items for status, class, or content. these are living beings and if you cannot commit to a decade+ of providing the best life that you can for an animal, DO NOT GET ONE.
I can tell you are an amazing owner 😊
Pets are for life and they deserve the best care. It's a huge thing to get a pet and some people don't do any research about animal in how big it gets, what care it needs, what is toxic to it, and how long it will live. I have a ball python and I've had him for 10 years now and I expect that he can live up to 30 years or more, and it was a big decision to commit to that. I've a lot of experience with snakes, my first was a corn snake that lived a full life of 24 years.

the dog being returned to the pound was so sad. that poor dog didn't know what she was doing wrong and she didn't get a proper chance to learn. let's hope someone found her before the shelter took her to the "shed."
Yeah I don’t know. I honestly doubt it. That’s the sad part. He says he would take her back but never did. So disingenuous
Also I think it's safe to say that the majority of people who really do their research on huskies and their needs, don't go and get a husky lmao
Edit: Oh, Ginger! She isn't a bad dog, she just had the misfortune of landing with an irresponsible owner!
Huskies are so cute BUT LOL I would NEVER get one looool

@shirashiraonthewall it can definitely be done, depending on the dog. ❤ I have a rescue husky with crazy prey drive outdoors, but she's very sweet and careful with my cats indoors. They understand the difference.
That girl in the Sam and Nia video was clearly coached. She looked SO sad. They just used their daughter to make their choice seem more ok to their audience
Yep. Devastating
how would you try to break your kids the news? I think the most disgusting part was the Fact that they made on camera, instead of giving her room
Seriously, what kind of kid reacts to finding out their beloved family dog was given away with "yay!"
Exactly!!!
right!! pets will always be animals before they are your friend-regardless if the species is domesticated. honestly, humans are the same way. if you’re raised in an environment where you are constantly in survival mode, you will mostly act on instinct. if your body thinks the only way to survive is to act aggressively, then you will. it is natural biology. animals will always prioritize survival. it is owners responsibility to make sure your dog doesn’t feel put in the position where survival mode is necessary
same with humans. we got so meany more bad humans becuase they had apple (R) Ipad TM trhown at them at 1 days old.

Jaiden animations… but yk.

She looked so sweet I would have taken her for real why would you do that 😭
That broke my heart.
You’re amazing 😭😭😭 can you go to my discord pls I need to see your dog this story is amazing
Ta-Bet-tin, they come from Tibet, and they've been used as FLOCK guardians. They do terrible in an urban environment. They grew so big because they're meant to be outside. like OUT-outside, on a massive farm or the mountains. Logan's the poster child for people who shouldn't be allowed to own a pet.
correction immature youtubers shouldn't have pets.
I agree. not all youtubers with pets are horrible pet owners like these examples are.
They are vicious!!! Can’t trust them at all
I'm.... both disturbed by this but also just as disturbed by the people who let Logan just buy Kong????? Like EXCUSE ME?
They obviously cared about Kong as much as Logan did...which wasn't much, if at all.
@@tatersoup It's truly sad
The little girl being visibly upset about their dog then happy after dad tells her to think about it while filming her. Yeah that was creepy.
That’s a weird thing to “look for” lmaooo why I’m so confused
@@shirashiraonthewall Yeah, I thought they might've been some kind of content creators who wanted a fat cat for clicks? I'll never know lol
And even mini pigs are only "small" compared to the giant meat breeds.
LIKE THESE PEOPLE. 🤬
Yeah the whole video… was off. These aren’t real people with empathy…
I'm sure it hurt a bit losing him
I also wouldn't be surprised if the friends let the bird out around the dog
How could he describe Kong's death in so much detail without showing emotion? He doesn't have to cry, but complete lack of emotion is disturbing
Logan has a weird habit of filming dead bodies, humans, parrots, what’s next?
Comparing his pets following was a huge slip in letting his audience know that he ranks and he loves animals according to their brandability
I lost my 19 yo cat today. I would give everything to get him back. To think that people give away their pets because they're bored of them or just don't want to put effort to take care of them is beyond me.
I’m so sorry! He seemed to live a very long life though so you should be very happy with that !
How can they do this? I had to rehome a malinois because of my high risk pregnancy and I still regret it to this day, I remember every pet I’ve ever had and I’ve had SO MANY I used to live on 25 acres of land when I was with my parents and we had a tiny farm. I’m telling you I remember every sheep I had. How can they do this? It’s sickening pets have NO VOICE, NO WAY TO DEFEND THEMSELVES
Awwwwwwww how are sheep as pets? They are soooo cute
@@shirashiraonthewall súper nice! But I do have to say that male sheep are really territorial so female sheep are so much better and easy to maintain too. They do stink even when you wash them up tho 🥴
I had an extremely sick kitten for an exact total of 3 days. I’m still torn up over her passing. I had tried to save her she was a feral kitten. I’m thankful my adult cat who I also picked up as a starving feral kitten is alive and healthy
Awwwwww I’m sorry 😭
@@shirashiraonthewall thank you I appreciate that she passed last July so it’s still a little fresh. She’s buried in our backyard and has a rock that marks her grave it say beloved pet on it. I named her Peanuts. Like I don’t get how these UA-camrs treated their pets so horribly and they keep repeating these fucking mistakes getting animals killed. Like I barely got to have Peanuts but I loved her and I miss her. It wasn’t my fault she died. Those assholes took what they had for granted. It really pisses me off.
Yep!! Don’t get a high energy dog if you don’t match them
10:43 there is no bad dogs only bad owners
@@shirashiraonthewall do you know if you can report backyard breeders my neighbour at my dads house is one and constanley breeds pugs
Exactly! As soon as that dude said the puppy was “exotic” .. 🚩🚩🚩
@@shirashiraonthewall Right lol people will do absolutely anything for a quick bit of money. I look forward to seeing a BYB video!
@@Imnotchay It would depend on the laws in your area/country- most times there isnt laws against poor breeding practices, but there is zoning laws that limit the number of animals a person may keep (like most cities limit to 2dogs/3cats or vise versa). If there was noise complaints, foul smells or visible neglect to the animals sometimes things can be done- but more often than not it has to be pretty extreme before law will step in
i feel they need to be banned from having pets
It makes me so sad to see stuff like this. A Tibetan Mastiff is my favorite dog breed, and it makes me especially sad to see people take in dogs that are so difficult, just to give them up for a stupid reason.
Aren’t they ridiculously expensive too?
@@shirashiraonthewall yeah, I read an article about some guy paying like, 1 million dollars for five of them
I cried when I saw Annie being taken into the back of the shelter, she looked so terrified. It’s going to be so hard to find her a new home and that poor baby is so scared.
Apparently she found a new home after a few weeks thank god apparently somebody in my comments found the shelter fb page! Lucky!!!
@@shirashiraonthewallOh thank goodness, it was absolutely devastating to watch that heartless jerk bring that poor, sweet angel back there.
He was the love of my life and I still think about him every damn day but I would have never put him through that
@@shirashiraonthewallbut I have a question. This is not hate at all, just genuinely curious. Wouldn’t your cat possibly die from the stress of rehoming and not seeing you since they were attached to you?
Omg :((((((( what that’s so sad
@@shirashiraonthewall I appreciated you mentioning how small dogs are incredibly delicate when young and even grown. I dont think thats a thought that crosses alot of minds when people purchase dogs.
100% small dogs deserve to be cared for properly
Coyote country here, do not ever rely on a slightly taller fence. They will climb. Best deterent is angled fencing that prevents them from jumping over
yeah we need a new addition to the family.... -few moments later- alright guys it's a family decision she's going back to the shelter.....
HOW IS IT A FAMILY DECISION IF U DIDNT ASK THE KIDS BRO I WOULD FIGHT MY PARENTS IF THEY DID THEY TO MY CATS
That poor dog knew that shelter was bad stuff, seeing her so terrified is horrible...
i don't understand how people can be so heartless. ginger is not a bad dog!!!
The fact that he laughed when talking about his bird’s death, he’s a psychopath
HOW TO STOP COYOTE ATTACK: don't let your dog outside at night when there are coyotes outside.
Omg thank u I’ll look into this!!!
Wtf the people who just sold their dog off on the street to a weird blond dude?😡😠😤
(if its not staged)
That wasn’t staged lol yep soooo weird
I think it’s mainly the big UA-camrs who treat their pets like crap, and honestly, without all the fame they probably wouldn’t treat them this way
i hate when ppl buy and rehome pets constantly. but at the same time i respect rehoming them rather than neglecting or abandoning them on the side of the road somewhere. i don’t condone when ppl do this, but at leastttt they give the pet away to someone else who will hopefully properly love them.
I’ve heard of van life people just abandoning their pets at forests or camp areas like ???? Drop them at the shelter you psychopaths
If I had a pomeranian, I just wouldn't leave my dog outside unsupervised, especially not while I wasn't home. No brainer.
Omg 😭😭😭😭 I’m so sorry that happened to you
THIS, this is an accident. What Logan did was NOT an accident, he intentionally let the dog out and I personally suspect he did it with the intention of farming resulting videos for content. You made an honest mistake so please don't beat yourself up, your pup knows you loved him and never wanted him to suffer.
Grey hounds, salukis, and afgan hounds, the skinny legend dogs are also EXTREMY anxious. Definetly not for high energy loud people.
this is so sadddd why do people be like this why does the world have to beeeeeee so meaaaaan especially to dogs and cats and other pets because they love you and its just so heart breaking that this happens

I found Ginger she’s living with a Tibetan Mastiff dog trainer. She has a gigantic area to run around in, and also has three other siblings!
It looks like the African Grey parrot still lives with Logan in Puerto Rico. Broley lives with his and mikes videographer, and is occasionally seen in his stories.
He’s going to have a baby soon, and I pray for that poor child…😢
Omg!!! You found Annie on the Facebook page?? That’s amazing!! Good work detective hats off to you
A merle husky, are you kidding me..... that dog is going to have so many health issues 😢.
I find it so disgusting that there are famous people out there that just keep getting away with animal abuse
The way that little girl was happy that annie was gone made my heart hurt....
The Husky was definitely backyard bred as huskies don't carry the merle(the "exotic" coat pattern)gene.
CID makes great content!!
“Annie ready to go bye bye” might’ve made me cry 😢
Not about treating them with kindness, I think.
ive had my bird for 20 years, my rabbit for 6, and dog for 3. people treating their animals like this disgusts me, they should be in prison.
Kong’s replacement isn’t even a full husky.. husky’s don’t come in Merle, so that’s a husky mixed with god knows what. So it’s personality is going to be unpredictable, he’s going to have behavioral issues, and have health issues.
That family just taught there daughter that animals are disposable...
25:47 Ik this might sound a lil crazy but she don’t look as happy as she sounds ya know? She look like she’s trying no not cry almost… idk maybe it’s just me but…
100% lol cuz of the camera
Reminds me of that one Finding Nemo quote: “Fish are friends, not food!”

Anyone remember that one family channel who had their dog put down because he had behavioral issues?
Those people gotta stop i feel bad the the animals😭😭😭😔

Also, thank you for covering this!
Leaving a dog outside at night unsupervised is crazy, let alone in a place known to have a crap ton of coyotes.
But anyway this my two cents about huskys!
that girl was definitely sad when her dog was taken back to the shelter, she didnt deserve that :[
The mom needs to take her kids and leave that POS. Because, literally, what is there to stop him from exploiting the kids? RUN. NOW!!
