All the best with cataract surgery. My dad had this in his early 80s, after which he was able to use his beloved M2 again after years of it sitting on a shelf.
For video ideas, I'd love to see one on process - how you went about developing your eye for composition, sharing your greatest photographic influences and how you incorporated their ideas into your work and made those your own expression. You could even start with Ralph Gibson... Great video, just finished it!

Great video & kit set up. Try the SL Summicrons (I use the 35 & 75) they are incredible. I do miss my SL 50mm Summilux though which has a unique look.

2 camera set up is the best way to go...I recently adopted the a film camera with a 35mm lens and Q2M with the 28mm and it's been my best very best set up in years... only thing I need is a grip for the Q2M cause after a while my hands cramp up a bit but I don't want to bulk up the camera too much..

Sean, you're one of my biggest inspirations to keep creating! Way back when you wrote me (in the X100 days) I was floored by the diverse group of people my little channel managed to reach. Thanks for always supporting and maybe I'll bring a couple Leica's to share on a photo walk in Atlanta, when my girlfriend and I visit her friends and family in Decatur.

@@Stockezy Got an M4-P and an M-10 I acquired during the beginning of lockdown! Was much more of a film guy previously, but like you I'm leaning more towards digital and leaving film for the "romantic" shooter in me.

Welcome back! Always enjoy your videos a lot! and man, that set-up is legit! I got an exceptional deal on an M10-p and 50mm summilux and have been shooting with it ever since and making some UA-cam stuff with it.
I would love to see a video on the focusing of M lenses on an SL body. Is the hit rate much better than compared to focusing with rangefinder, ... stuff like that.

Man what a beautiful setup. The colours are amazing. I thought about getting a monochrom but the colours are too good to give up.

Hi Jason. Great kit. I was completely Fuji but a couple of years ago made the mistake / good fortune to walk in to our local Leica Store and buy the M10P and 50 summilux as my “one camera one lens”. You guessed it Leica lust ensued by adding the type 246, and the SL2 but only for my manually adapted M lenses and then I went to the dark side and bought and MP to do some film. Add a bunch of M lenses and I have been formally adopted by our local Leica store. 😂I have to say, if you are thinking of getting a 50, save up your money and put the 50 Noctilux 0.95 on the SL2 and the results are just unbelievable. I know you tried one in Japan but that huge bright viewfinder on the SL2 just changed the whole deal. The POV,’s are great and what makes it is your delivery. I would say just mix it up and keep doing what you enjoy doing. Regards from the desert. Steve. Dubai.

I've actually tried the Noctilux on the SL2 when I shot those portraits of The Frozen Few. It was incredible! I just don't know how much I'd use it in my day to day life. Its a bit too specialty for me justify it... doesn't mean I don't want it though!

Best ending to a YT video I’ve seen in a long time hehe! Man, that setup is fly. I’m still debating on my end. I’ve got the Q2, the M10 and the M6 with 35mm Summicron + 50mm Suimmilux… Might trade the M10 for an SL2…

Just found your channel fam and loving it. I’m new to the Leica family as I recently picked up a q2 and loving every second of it. Haven’t put it down much. My professional/studio work is shot on Nikon’s Z6ii & Z7ii and I swear, it’s like I’ve forgot about them since picking up this q2. Gonna be hard to avoid an SL soon. Anyhow, apologies for the long winded message. Great channel again and keep up the great work. Subscribed 🤙🏾

Dude I’d say for the 50mm don’t count out like a version 2 Summicron - rigid or DR. I picked up a DR for $700 and it’s so clean, so gorgeous for use on my M3 or even for some professional work that I’ve done with it. It’d be an easy pickup with a high reward, as opposed to dropping a few thousand on a v4 or something
I actually use to own the version 2 and the only thing I disliked about it was the missing focus tab. Even tried to glue a few on but they always fell off in hot weather.
You’re right though. I’ve actually got my eye on the old 50mm summarit f1.5.

It's a bit of a weird one but you could look at the Tri Elmar 28-35-50 it's like a stepped zoom, constant f4 and allegedly as good optically as the primes
I just peeped Matt Day’s video on that lens. Could be an interesting thing one take out in the streets. I kind of want to get my hands on the M10-D though. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The 35 FLE is sick but its way larger, thinking about geting a summicron 35 instead of my summilux 35.
I had a 35mm Summilux on loan at one point but I don’t remember what version it was. Must have be pre FLE since I don’t remember the size being too crazy.

I do love POV videos but I also like to hear a running commentary sometimes. Why you shoot what your shooting, why you chose this or that lens? Showing me NYC is great as id love to get ideas for the very slim chance I ever get over there, along with Tokyo it’s a “Bucket List” location for me, and being unable to work due to some lifelong health issues it’s not likely I’ll ever get there but “ Never say Never “

@@Stockezy Hey, nothing to be sorry for, I was diagnosed with Kidney Disease at 2.5 months old so know no different and after 4 Kidney Transplants I'm still here, yes ive ended up with a number of other issues but I've known so many people pass away too young or due to not looking after themselves.

I have issues with my eyes also, I shoot with Q2 mainly, but then I carry an SL with a 50 mm lens for portraits in my bag also.
I also have a carried my 24 to 90 SL on street for portraits, I know crazy

how are you coping with these large files specially with the M10-R, Q2 & SL2?
I’m getting buy. I built a ridiculous PC during the lockdown and it can handle anything I throw at it. I’ve also got 16tb of NAS storage where I store everything long term. Maybe I’ll make a video on that.
I still preferred your Fuji days. I loved the pictures from that old beat up X-Pro2 that you had and the way it inspired us. Your Leica pic's are nice, but not in the same league as your previous ones. I know that if Fuji had of reached out to you and sponsored you, you wouldn't be shooting Leica today.

Hey Kate! I had the SL2-S for a few months and I actually never took a single image on it. Missed opportunity. When I get it back I'll do some comparisons.
I love this video. Thank you. I think you'll regret it selling your 35mm Summicron. The image quality between the Summicron and the Summilux are appreciatively different. The Summicron has a little more "old school" feel, whereas the Summilux is clinically sharp. At least that's my experience. I love my Summilux; I miss my Summicron.

That's a difficult answer. I wouldn't use my M10 in too many professional settings. If I do its always accompanied by the SL2. I don't know the scope of your professional work but there will be things you can't shoot on an M eventually.
