Sometimes it feels easier to run a little faster because of the free energy returned by the elastic recoil of your tendons which have a natural frequency of 180 steps per minute. When running slower it's usually around 170. If you keep 180 when jogging slow it will feel bouncy still and less effort.

Cool video lol and the food is all vegan! Of course it was bland because you used low qaultity ingredients. Frozen veg and prechopped fruit. Try eating fresh, ripe, raw and organic. That Ugali he uses white maize meal not yellow and it's usually dipped in some sauce from the vegetables. The vegetables and white maize he eats are very high quality organic.
First one of your videos I'm watching. I'm a big Greg Doucette fan myself. His diet has helped me lose 15 lb in the last 4 months. In addition I've been an avid bike rider for the last 4 years. Just one critique. Even Greg says he didn't start out with a 70 kilometer bike ride. He had to work his way up. So that was a somewhat unrealistic goal to attempt on your first try. I do a minimum of 11 miles every day and once a week I do 25 to 26. I do have an indoor setup for when there's bad weather, and according to my calorie tracker, the indoor stationary bike is a much more intense workout giving me double the caloric deficit. (1 hour outside on regular bike is about 300 calories on average, 1 hour on the indoor bike is over 800 calories on average) . Did enjoy the video, and will check out more
Do Steve Jones, "The King of Pain". Former marathon world record holder. You might enjoy it. It's basically this. Run extremely hard every single day. Eat whatever. Drink beer. Prove the haters wrong.
I'm not a hater, but that sounds bad.you need good diet to go along with what insane amount of running you're doing.just think of bad diet and food habits as adulterated motor fuel-not good for the vehicle in the long run.
You may think that diet is bland but a lot of Africans would find it savory. It only tastes bland when you're accustomed to the rich processed foods of a Western diet. I knew plenty of Ugandans who appreciated having plain maize porridge without any sweeteners for breakfast. For lunch and dinner they had either Ugali, sweet potatoes or raw cooked bananas with beans and some veggies. Most everything else was a luxury. They were pretty healthy too. The only major disease they suffered with was malaria. Chronic heart conditions and cancer are virtually unknown to them.
NEW SUB!! Super excited get more to get more content like this!! Awesome work Elijah!! I have never made it ugali before but have eaten it while I lived in Uganda. You need to eat it with beans on top or meat for it to taste better.
That is definitely not ugali. Go to the Mexican store and get maiz flour for tortillas. Typically 1 cup of water is good for 1 person. Bring the water to a boil then add the flour slowly as you continuously mix to remove dry flour lumps. Continue adding flour until it becomes a pizza dough consistency. Mix the mixture for 5 more minutes then cover it for 2 min and flip it over onto a plate
The reason u fee better at a quicker pace is becuase you are forcing your body to use carbs as source of energy from glycogen rather than fat as a source. Burning fat as source of energy happens at lower heart rate zones while carbs happens at a higher but still aerobic hr zone. However it is more difficult and strenuous to use fat as source of energy rather than glycogen and in turn makes it feel crappy. Usually I warm up for a few miles just to get the body to switch modes of energy usage. After a few miles warming up, u will run a lot smoother.
They have basic diets, the blandness of you have to train your palette to get used to.. Once you do, it's just fuel, not a momentous occasion of the day.
I spent 10 weeks in Tanzania and they live on Ugali. I worked at a school and they would have this for their two meals a day. The first would be ugali with beans and the other ugali with spinach.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to eat the fruit with the other stuff for optimal digestion but other than that the diet makes sense as long as you get enough in (calorie wise). Probably snacks on more fruit during the day for that sugar energy etc.
I agree 100% as to feeling more of a slug in sneakers when I jog slow versus when I have some speed. For some reason I just struggle at a slower pace!🧐

I still need to try his diet and workout
But I want to know what moh Ahmed does
I'm a beginner runner and really love your channel!! More vids!
got to Safeway look for Lipton organic tea. its from the Kenyan highlands. where Eluid lives they grow a lot of tea. so that means high altitude as well. the sugar is pure cane sugar not the high fructose corn syrup thing.
That Chai-Tea concentrate is a product that really shoudn't need to exist. It's something so easy to do on your own, and the things you need to have at home will even have a longer shelvelife.
So the greatest marathon runner is basically fueled by plants lol no (or rarely) meat, eggs and milk) love that 🤩😉
Great video as always. Big fan from Spain!
Appreciate you!
the best video in the internet
Dip the bread in Chai before eating and you will know what a good mood feels like!
shout out to the garmin forerunner 235 lol thats the only running watch that i love.
none of my miles yesterday were even close to that pace.., but I am a novice, mid to back of the packer .. good stuff
How many miles did you run and what was your pace?
Yo Elijah, you ever consider adding just a little bit of background music? I feel like it would improve the quality of the video. Keep it up!!!
Awesome work! Just found your channel - can't wait to see more of your videos. I am hungry just looking at you complete this day. I only ran 6k today but I am going for a snack, lol.
Interesting and entertaining! Love your videos. James Dunne is awesome too for PT and form tips!
Spinach, kale, cabbage. The veggies that eliud mostly eats that would be available worldwide.
Nice!! This one was good!! And loved the mins per every mile info that you gave while running! 😁
Definitely do Scott Jurek next!
Love the content keep up the great work
thanks!
Excellent work man! Keep grinding!
I love your videos. You are an inspiration 🙏
UA-cam recommended this, and it didnt disappoint. Thx for the vid very interesting to see. Would you mind linking to the video you mentioned of the core exercises?
The intro immediatly got my like!
Welcome to Kenya ♥️,ugali👏👏👏
Cool video lol and the food is all vegan! Of course it was bland because you used low qaultity ingredients. Frozen veg and prechopped fruit. Try eating fresh, ripe, raw and organic. That Ugali he uses white maize meal not yellow and it's usually dipped in some sauce from the vegetables. The vegetables and white maize he eats are very high quality organic.
Love these vids man
I agree it’s easier to run harder. I have a hard time doing easy run!
Where is the EPO?
Do Nick Bare's diet and workoutss!
@@zzzzzzz9077 for real
@@zzzzzzz9077 i mean the dude is a beast but he's juiced to the fucking gills bro. It just sucks really that he feels the need to lie about it.
From algeria 🇩🇿 i like your video you insprid me thank you my friend
❤❤❤❤
You should totally try and do the carnivore diet and see how it impacts your runs!
Hes vegetarian
Where is the first run at?
Easy pace for Kipchoge is 6:00/mile at 7,000ft. I don't think this does justice to how hard he trains.
That was very nice and good job man
you give me motivation to run every week, thank you
can you link the core tutorial video?
hello Elijah You have to boil the Managu first then you fry it thats the secret.
For your next video...try Kipchoge's diet and workout routine for one week
When did you start the run after tea and bread?
They have basic diets, the blandness of you have to train your palette to get used to.. Once you do, it's just fuel, not a momentous occasion of the day.
I spent 10 weeks in Tanzania and they live on Ugali. I worked at a school and they would have this for their two meals a day. The first would be ugali with beans and the other ugali with spinach.
Flavorless grits with syrup... somebody call chief ramsey he needs to hear about this
I did a day in the life of kipchoge a while back, definitely a cool experience!
Ugali is made with white corn flour not yellow. Totally different taste.
Can you link the core workout you were doing?
I don’t think it’s a good idea to eat the fruit with the other stuff for optimal digestion but other than that the diet makes sense as long as you get enough in (calorie wise). Probably snacks on more fruit during the day for that sugar energy etc.
I like your channel, keep up the good content bro👍
Please do a day in the life of chuck norris
Love your attempt at juggling!😁
I agree 100% as to feeling more of a slug in sneakers when I jog slow versus when I have some speed. For some reason I just struggle at a slower pace!🧐
