Nick Bare Pro Category: 1:05:43. You were less than a minute behind! Yes extra weight but also he had less people to navigate. You smashed it! Awesome journey and completion of this side quest! Huge kudos to you. It looked absolute mayhem on race day, I would’ve been lost and frustrated as well. Great breakdown and self reflection, looking forward to the next. Keep it up dude! 👌💪🏼
@@CRAV3N88amen to both. Nick is definitely not natty. Even though he claims it. No one's running like him and smashing that weights at his weight and is natty
So awesome to see! 🔥 Still feel like you crushed it coming 14th, and there’s definitely always something to be learned, as long as we’re learning we’re improving. Super stoked to see the sub 2:30 prep 😁👏 Really would want to see you do a video on how you improved your strength as a runner, keep up the fantastic content, you always inspire me so much 😊
It was so great meeting you! I’ve been watching your videos since 2020 & they are always great motivation for me. You are very super nice & sweet thank you!
Stud! There's a learning curve with everything. Would love to see you tackle another one down the road with a little more training & a bit more experience.
I would rather run a marathon everyday than do even 1 hyrox competition. I have so much respect for anyone who even participates in Hyrox. It looks insane!
Was anticipating this video for weeks, like I was waiting for a song drop lol just keen to see how you go! Been following your journey for a while! Top 20 in first try! That’s a win bro!! Support from New Zealand.
congrats, I did my first in Chicago this month. Crazy the time differnces by location. I went 2:57 sled push and it was 419/815. Great sport and will do more for sure. Thanks for the video. BTW, you killed my time LOL
I was disappointed in myself after the race, because I wanted to pass up one guy in front of me in each event and I cold get past you. I was the guy next to you in the yellow shirt pulling. Your motor is amazing.
nice one dude! I just signed up for my first every Hyrox in Cologne, Germany. I'm half English half Mexican but will be representing Mexico this time. I hope it goes well, I think the burpees are a bit weird though. And the wall balls seem like a bit of a pain to train in my gym...
Brother! So stoked I stumbled across this! Excited to see your breakdown… I was wondering who I edged out by 1 second 😏 No, all jokes aside super solid effort! Congrats! Are you coming to Houston??
You could make your next challenge after the Boston Marathon going on Survivor lol, I feel like you'd dominate there you're already comfortable on camera
Congratulations! Question I am a lighter athlete and would have to gain 5 to 10 lbs. any tips for “small” guys. Thanks! Worried about trying this because I am so light yes 122 lbs yes I know that is light.
i think if you were in the pro division you would'a got nick bare man, haha damn... i don't know what possessed you to do that shit, but right on man! i bet you can't wait to get back to focusing on running
I feel your pain about being stuck behind slow runners. I hate when i do a 10k or a half or something and i start with my pace group but end up having all these slow people blocking me like just be honest if ur slow go to the back
I think jumping to the pro division would be a little over zealous of you. Considering you struggled with the weights in the regular division and the Pro division is quite a bit more weight.
Amazing time, sounds like these competitions have become super overcrowded and popular. But also seems like there's just no real rules? Like someone could not completely finish and just run off to the next station if a judge is busy with someone else. Not cool!
This is not correct, the chip timer records exactly whether all stations and laps have been completed. The judges only ensure that the respective station has been completed correctly. If a station is omitted, this will result in disqualification.
Sounds like Hyrox got a little too big too quick. On another note, you made no mention of Nick Bare. I understand you were in different divisions but still...
Killer job and time but the whole throwing your hands up because someone is in front of you going slower ruined the whole thing. Don’t get me wrong, you would smoke me in a race but that is just horrible sportsmanship. You are doing a race that has every different fitness level there is. There will be slow people working their asses off. Like you said, if you don’t want to be slowed down then compete in the pro division. Don’t complain about how everyone else ruined your 1:05 time. You killed it. Be happy and move on.
Great job man! Nick Bare only did about a minute better than you. I would say given the differences in physique that's a huge accomplishment. Nice work brother!
The least surprising outcome. “I’ll break a world record”. “I’ll beat Nick Bare”. No, it’s called Hyrox for a reason. Doesn’t matter if you were a runner. You and everyone else bud.
Athletes tend to talk shit. Like since the dawn of time. This was no different. Sometimes you succeed, sometimes you lose. And so what? You clearly stayed tuned till the end just to make your comment.
@ talk shit when you’ve got reasons. Dude has never done anything and thinks because he ran he breaks a world record ? It’s not even talking shit, it’s straight delusional and insulting to those who are far more physiologically gifted than him who haven’t yet broken a world record.
14th place out of 900+ participants in your first Hyrox is boss level. With your new insights, you will destroy it next time around.
900+? Hows there that many people competing at once?
nick bare got 9th. go check out his hyrox videos.

Nicks heat had women’s doubles and men’s doubles going at the same time. So Nick had to navigate more ppl.

Well done mate. What a way to send it! Its been cool watching your journey on here.
Nice job, you should be proud. If nothing else you’re looking jacked AF. 😂
Man, Elijah you have fans now! You're big time.
What a cluster of a race. Sucks that all the training, money, and dedication can come down to external factors that you can’t control. Way to get it!
Excited for your journey! Will be watching intently

What a mess, Hyrox too overhyped looking for a cash grab. They need to organize things better.
It’s very well organised, actually.
@ did you see that footage? There’s people on the course while you’re competing. It’s a joke

Great job 👏🏾 I did Dallas too and it was super crowded for sure and I expected the same thing.
Excited for this 🙌
1:06 is respectable for sure, especially for your first race, congrats! I hope you do a few more, I'm thinking you've got a sub 60 in you in AG.
You did great, now you have to do the pro division, which is a different animal with the weight on the sled, lunges and wall balls.
Great job brother! That is a hard race and you did it well!
You could make your next challenge after the Boston Marathon going on Survivor lol, I feel like you'd dominate there you're already comfortable on camera

every time i see a video of a hyrox event it looks so chaotic. it feels like the running situation really needs improving.

Any interaction with Nick Bare?
Good work sir. Keep it up.
What were the lap Times for running?
Unreal! You are a beast!
Hope will meet you one day and competed with you bro~you are inspiring 😮
only on the ski and the rower you need the judge to sign off
really impressive debut. would you recommend the hyrox event to others ?

I don’t understand how 900 people compete at the same time, are there like different groups that like 10 minutes after eachother?
Yes, a group of 15-30 starts every 10 minutes.

Nick Bare raced in the Pro Division, the weights are much heavier.
@@Solonomad-vz9uvthat’s what I was gonna say nicks sled had much more weight on then this guys but no doubt that’s a good time!
Nick also had a faster run time but sounds like it was probably because of how disorganized the running track was for the open.
Why do people do this when there are gorgeous trail races in nature? This looks like a nightmare
Same course all round the world, good to challenge yourself in an environment which is exact.
Room for both types I guess
