Building a Sturdy Roman Candle Stand

In this video I set out to build a more permanent and long-lasting roman candle holder. I built this with two goals in mind, build something I can use year after year to test roman candles and have a design that incorporates a close grouping of the roman candles. I chose to build these out of structural steel pipe and made a small, medium and large version. The sizes of pipe were 3/4 inch, 1 inch and 1-1/4 inches for the inside diameter. I wanted to make the three versions so I could hopefully cover most of the size variations in roman candles amongst the various brands available. I used a piece of rebar that was 3/4 inch thick as a mounting pole for the different sizes of roman candle holder. I didn't have any slippage issues with my roman candles but a rubber band or zip tie can be placed around the base of the roman candles as a form of added protection. I can't wait to try new roman candles in these and add them to my July 4th celebration.
