Nicest people in the world too. When I was In high school there were clicks. Latinos kicked it in an area, black folks kicked it in another area, Asians peeps kicked it, Filipinos kicked it, (not a lot of whites in this school) and I was Indian and the only mfing Indian in the school. So I’d be off to the side and the somoans kicked it by the gym and they took me in. Friendships for life. I knew a couple of the somoans from the middle school and they introduced me to the older kids and other people. ( I’m reading this back and seems like my high school is jail 😂)
The story that Bruce Prichard told on his podcast about Yoko years ago is confirmed lol. Shout-out to The Undertaker. Love the Podcast. One of my favorite wrestlers💯💪🏽💯💪🏽
So nonchalant... "They asked us not to come back." I'm loving Taker being able to tell all these stories now. Just wish Yoko was around to chime in and be like "Hey hey hey... They mayo MAKES the turkey tails!"
I've been trying to give this host a chance since this pod first showed up but I just can't anymore. Takers in the middle of a story and he's half engaged and more interested about the notification on his watch. You're with the fucking undertaker. He doesn't know wrestling either. He's just some dude that's friends with taker with no podcasting experience or wrestling knowledge. People that are listening to a podcast like this are probably hardcore fans and each one of us individually know a lot more wrestling than this guy does. It's not working.
Thank you! I totally agree with you brother. You're with freaking Undertaker show some damn respect and let him talk wrestling. We don't want to hear your life story Matt.
@@edrenzulli33I’d rather listen to Undertaker relax and shoot the shit with a guy he’s genuinely friends with, than listen to him be interviewed in an overly formal manner by a fan with so much reverence for him that it’s just overly serious the whole time. That’s literally what makes this podcast entertaining to listen to compared to any interview he’s done, it’s a different side of him. We get to hear how he banters with his buddies. It’s nice that the cohost isn’t just fawning over him the whole time because he’s a legend. It’s more of a laidback relaxed discussion.
@@trancebruh3231 I get your point but it isn't about replacing him with a fan that is going to fawn over Taker. There is a middle ground. I'm just looking for more professionalism out of respect for Taker and more wrestling knowledge out of respect for the wrestling fans. Edit - I also reread my comment just now and it does come off too harsh. Definitely a bit much.
5:30 I was 11 years old and went to this show in '95. Trying to put my finger on who Bryan Adams was... then I realize he was Adam Bomb at the time. Pre-attitude era in the Philippines, we would get WWF footage 3 months delayed because we'd only get it off cable channels based in Hong Kong and Singapore. Then it became 2 weeks delayed during the attitude era. It wasn't until WCW was losing the Monday night wars when we'd get WWF/WWE pretty much the same time as every other country, but by then I didn't follow wrestling as much as when I was a kid and only caught it in bits.
It's weird to think that Yoko and Roman are on the same branch of that Samoan Family Tree, were both unstoppable monster heels who finally lost their title to a smaller babyface at Wrestlemania, separated by 30 years.
DO NOT check your phone, or watch, when you’re one on one with The Undertaker. That’s just basic common courtesy. Would you check your phone or watch during a job interview?!
You have Yoko or Rikishi recruit Haku into the BSK and they could mop any pro wrestling locker room combined. Haku Godfather Taker Adams Yoko Rikishi Godwin 1 Godwin 2
I often wonder if Yokozuna had lost weight and was still alive Would he have anything to do with the WWE anymore, or would he just be enjoying retirement
Just curious...why does Mark often wear both a bandana and a hat? Not a criticism, it's just an unusual look. I know there's a saying about "putting a hat on a hat" so is it a reference to that?
Got to sit down for dinner with RVD & Sabu, the food was getting set up away from us on a long row of tables and a seated Sabu asked: "So, do we wait?" RVD said: "I guess so" Sabu looking around replied: "Na. Fk that, Iets go eat -- Who's gunna stop us!" .. We got first dibs on the best stuff that night after Subu & RVD lead the way to the smorgasbord😄
This host is getting worse. Mark has to carry the conversation and he seems to lack knowledge of wrestling on a basic level. Him checking his watch was highly disrespectful and I'm glad Mark said something. And Yokozuna's name is misspelled 😒
Unless the bouncers are Steve Blackman, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesner, and Tank Abbott lol...yeah that's about the only thing stopping that group of guys.
I watched wrestling since 1988. I never understood the hype about yoko being so great. He was too big to do very much in the ring. Then they said he put on too much weight. He looked the same to me in 1995 as he did in 1997 when he left, and I never noticed his abilities being any different.
Not sure what you were watching, he was smaller as Kokina, gained weight when he debuted as Yokozuna, then kept getting bigger by 1995, then they started sending him to fat camps to lose weight.he could still put on matches but wasn't as agile
Well he was one of the Headshrinkers in like 92 or 93, then he had a horrible gimmick called the Sultan, then a few more things before he became dancing Rikishi with Too Cool. So he was around a bit before the Attitude Era.
"You got something to do?" 💀
Yeah Taker is old school, you never look at your watch during a conversation. Sadly becoming more common with smart watches now though.
Terrible co host
I don't think he meant to be disrespectful. I know I'm not in a rush. I'd savor this.
Awful co host. He talks all the time and interrupts taker all the time.
@@zach6800Exactly. It is considered bad manners. My Pops would tell me the same thing.

Yoko was a freakish athlete. Most of those Samoans are. Those guys aren't to be fucked with.

Imagine if BSK were hangin out today, they'd have their own youtube channel we can watch.
If only yoko didn’t eat himself to death. 😓😓(coming from a guy with his name tatted on my arm)
Taker is a Texas boy, I know he enjoyed him some Samoan BBQ 😂
I could listen to Taker's stories all day
Love how Taker spent a good 2 minutes putting the BSK’s behaviour over followed by “they asked us not to come back”.
When he looked at his watch i thought the same thing. Does he have things to do, are you boring him 😂😂

I love that undertaker had a great relationship with Samoans. And learned about their culture in ways.
As a child I never knew Yuko was part Hawaiian, until I got older and understood who he and his family actually were
He was Samoan, not Hawaiian
Brilliant strategy between Taker and Yoko.
I Miss Yoko :/
He said I don’t even know what turkey tail is . Well is the A of the turkey 😂😂
My mother taught me to call turkey tails the Pope's nose.
In Newfoundland and Labrador, we call turkey tails (or chicken tails) the Pope’s nose. It’s usually someone’s favourite

My Nana Dorothy, God rest her soul, used to make BBQ Turkey Tails. That's some good eating.
