    As a deer stalker from the UK. I am ashamed to admit that I was a little bit syndical about watching another a US "hunting" TV series. That's until I watched Steve and his series "Meat Eater" on Netflix. Steve Rinella has to be the most informed, intelligent and by far the most eloquent of hunters that I have ever had the pleasure to watch on TV. I learn something new from every episode! I have the upmost respect for his hunting ethics and I envy his field craft. Steve Rinella is everything I aspire to be as a hunter and a human being..... Steve has helped me understand my place on this earth. Thank you 👍

      Dude I know what you mean, the old outdoors shows especially the fishing shows like Bill Dance were so fake and heavily sponsored. They would stick bass in their live well, take one out, hook it in the mouth the same way every time and it was always with the sponsored lure of the day. My Gpa was a state renowned Striper guide, I’ve been bass fishing since i could cast a zebco 33. You almost never hook Largemouth like that. I’ve had them one swallow 4 and 5 offsets, the back treble hook of a crank bait, and get hooked on just about every spot in the mouth. Large mouth suck in and swallow their prey. The chances of hooking a 5+ pound bass in the lower left corner of its mouth every time, especially with Texas/Carolina rigged soft lures.

      hunt and fish to live I still dont want to kill things directly. Of course, the average person distances and desensitizes themselves to the murder in order to eat FLESH.
      I am a vegetarian, but even before I would only eat meat sparingly (not every day) and choose from humane companies to buy from.
      If I had to live on a farm, directly slaughtering my animals to eat their flesh, I wouldve been vegetarian a long time ago.

    He’s so right about hearing things through other languages. I’ve spent several weeks in Peru and several weeks in Ecuador and the Andes mountain villagers spoke Quechua. People living in the Andes mountains never even bothering to learn Spanish. Some of the most interesting people I’ve ever met and shared a dinner table with.

    Need to have cameron hanes and steven rinella on a podcast together

    • @coon3869
      @coon3869 7 років тому +22

      Nathaniel Waddell Rinella would make Cameron look like a kindergartener. Rinella is a true outdoorsman. Cam is an athlete who practices his athleticism in the outdoors. Both are very fascinating; and truly the best at what they do. But they aren't on the same level, two very different philosophies on hunting and the outdoors.

    • @bravo7976
      @bravo7976 7 років тому +4

      Ryan Calhoun....i agree but it would be nice to see them bullshit about hunting together

    • @17fryfry
      @17fryfry 7 років тому +13

      Nah. Hanes is a complete douche. He hunts for nothing more than bragging rights and recognition. Yea yea I know I'm a "troll" but seriously NEVER trust a man who says he hunts but doesn't like turkey hunting. Being in the woods during a spring turkey season is so incredibly magical for a true outdoorsman that it's undeniable.

    • @17fryfry
      @17fryfry 7 років тому +8

      Nathaniel Waddell Rinella would never be in the same room with a egomanic like Hanes. He's not a real outdoorsman and wouldn't last a day on one of Steve's hunts.

    I love The Joe Rogan Experience so much because I learn so many new things, it is incredible! Even if they aren't necessarily right about everything, when something they mention piques my interest, I go look it up and delve into researching it a ton and no other guest makes me look into more topics than Steven Rinella. Joey Diaz is very easily my favorite guest bar none, but Rinella is a close second (obviously for two completely different reasons) and this is definitely one of my favorite episodes. Colleges should have an elective class based around The JRE - I have learned so much since I've started watching.

I enrolled into my first martial arts gym and today was my first experience of kickboxing. It was so exciting and fun to work my fat ass off and release my emotions and just learn from people who know what they're doing, eat healthy and loose weight. Thanks for simply being you. Even though you won't see this, just know I love your vids. Good luck bud

Rinella's descriptive and ethos based comments on hunting and the outdoors will hopefully help to educate the less experienced individuals in order to increase the overall interest in nature. If you haven't seen the show Meat Eater yet, then I highly recommend it. Steve's views on hunting align with the methods that my family has instilled in all of us.
