Hello David, I also am a fan of the Whitman & Dansco Coin Alums to. I like all your US Type Coin Album. I also am working on my US Type Coin Set too. Thanks for Sharing!
The 7070 is a great album, I filled it and added 4 pages of 12 2x2 sheets to add more coins to the set. I'm working on early Capped Bust coins and All the types left out of this album. I takes time, But it adds so much more history and beauty to the set. To hold a U.S. coin from 1790's in your hand. Ask all the question's who has held it, what you could have bought with it, at the time. Life time of collecting and loved every moment.
Really enjoying the hunt for my 7070 coins. Great idea with the 2x2s! I’ll have to consider that myself. Thanks for the comment! If you haven’t already, don’t forget to subscribe!
I just completed the same Whitman type set, even including a 1883 nickel (no cents). My Dansco 7070 album is also on order. The Whitman album, as opposed to your comment that it allows the coins to spin, is TOO tight, I can't even insert one of my nickels no matter how hard I push, even to the point of tearing the album. I hope the Dansco cures that problem.
It’s a great album! You may notice that some are slightly oversized. I believe this is to accommodate coins minted before 1833. That being said...if you put a pre collar coin in those slots it may fit better. Congratulations on your purchase and I look forward to hearing about progress as you fill the album!
Are there any albums that incorporate slabbed coins? I quit trading non-slab decades ago and all I have are PCGS or NCG but nothing like an album (I have a complete type set). I looked a few years ago and every thought of building one . .
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! I have an album by Lighthouse I believe. It holds slabbed coins in molded clear pages that could serve as what you are looking for. A pre-made album for year sets or type coins is not something I’ve come across though.
4:20 I would say the coins without the Liberties on them are the least interesting designs. The Liberty designs seem more classic and beautiful than the modern Presidents ect. on the coins.
Nice bud, I’m a big fan of the 20th century coinage. It is some of our most beautiful coin designs ever minted in my opinion. I’ve posted a recently complete video of my 20th century proof type set. Check it out sometime your may enjoy. Subbed ya. Thanks for sharing
Thank you! I have to agree that the designs of early and mid 20th century coins are some of the nicest. A 20th proof set? You have my attention! I’ll check it out soon. Thank you for the comment and thank you for the sub!
They are still representative of the type while having the satisfaction of an older coin. Unless a Key Date is involved I normally lean towards an older coin. To me it’s more eye catching to someone that may not be a collector. Thank you for watching the video and commenting! I hope you will like and subscribe!
To be honest, USA has a very bland history of coinage - I've counted only 43 types here. For comparison, where I live since 1900 there have been over 88, give or take a few.

I enjoy type sets. Thanks for sharing! 😀👍
Thanks! Putting together a Dansco 7070 now. It’ll a long time in the works but I think it’ll be something to be proud of when I’m done.

Thanks! It was a fun starting point but I can already tell that my Dansco 7070 will be a real challenge to complete.

Why do you have 19th century coins?
