About 15 years ago I purchased a handmade rosary for my mother and when I went to purchase more she was no longer in business. Your method is the same used for that amazing rosary my mom loves so much! Now, I can attempt and make a few for family members.
A tip to string your beads without the risk of losing them at one end: cut your wire to the desired length (add about 4-6 inches on each side to be safe), then use a piece of scotch or masking tape either towards the middle or a few inches from one end of the wire to affix it to the flat surface you are working from. This way, if you decide to change the pattern or correct a mistake, you will have the option of doing so from either end of the wire without restringing all the beads.
Hi Milo! Just wanted to tell you that I used your video to help me make a rosary for my mother in law. I had made beads using the flowers from her daughter's funeral and was nervous about making a rosary with them. Your idea was simple and elegant. Thank you!!!
thank you for sharing. I habe no experience and I try to watch rosary making tutorial videos in order to learn. It is challenging but I want to try. God bless....
Very Beautiful, I plan to make one and learn the whole Rosery, I make beaded jewelry just wasn't sure how to put the end together, Thankyou, Very helpful*
Thank you so much for your video. You have an amazing gift for teaching and presenting . You must have invested real heart and soul in order to create such a clear, complete tutorial. This is one of the very best craft videos I’ve seen, possibly the very best.
This is the best video tutorial I have ever seen! I cannot believe this is your first. You were so detailed and made it so simple to follow. Thank you so very much, and I wish you all the success in the world!
I have been doing bead crafting for about 7 years now, but I have never made a rosary. A lifelong friend asked if I would be willing to make a rosary for her. This was over 1 year ago. I did attempt to get the necessary parts for it, but I was never happy with the things I found until recently. My biggest stress was still to come. I had no idea how to do it and all the instructions I found (until I found this video) involved eye pins, which I really didn't want to have to use. Your way is so much cleaner and finer looking. Much more class and tidiness. The only thing I still need to get is the crimping tool and the crimps themselves and I suddenly feel VERY confident that I will make a rosary for her that she will always treasure. I am actually excited to get started! I have YOU to thank for that, Milo... bless you for helping me make her birthday gift for this year very special.
I make wire Rosaries with the eyepin on the end of each bead, but I've never seen a Rosary made like this. I love how these are made and they take less than half the time for such a beautiful and unique Rosary! For people who make Rosaries they know that there are endless kinds of beads they can use from glass beads to jasper beads to flat beads to flower and butterfly shape beads....the beads are endless. I must make a Rosaries using this method for gifts. Thank you for making this video and sharing how to make these!
Thank you for this video. I love rosaries and rosary-stye necklaces and I want to make sure I am doing them right. I personally prefer the rosary chain links, but they are very time consuming and take a bit of a learning curve. This is an excellent alternative. For those who do want to cut off the wire in one large piece, there are bead stoppers for the other end. Thanks again.
Thank you! I just started beading and wanted to make something for a friend’s baby boy’s baptism. This was perfect. Thankfully Amazon came through with a speedy delivery of centers and crucifixes. Off to finish mine now for gifting tomorrow! I have four more sets, so I will definitely be making more.
Thank you for the instructions on beading a rosary.. this is something that I want to learn and make a beautiful rosary for every member of my family..
Thank you for this video, Milo! I made my first Rosary this afternoon using your tutorial. I made a few mistakes here and there but am thankful for the finished product. There is definitely more Rosary-making in my future. Prayers and thanks to you!
Hi Milo I just wanted to thank you for your clear and easy to follow instuctions. I started beading during the beginning od the Co vid Lockdown. Thanks to you i have gone on to make many other pieces , neclaces brcelets and my favorite ... More rosaries. I have even sold a couple pieces to a local shop here on Vancouver Island BC I will post some pics later. Thanks again

I make rosaries too. I use the eye pins to connect the beads together. I like your way better. It's easier, faster, and looks better. Also I like the white Our Father beads.
@@sharonerichamilton3675 none of the colors matter. Not even the color of what you're calling our father beads. They aren't supposed to even be beads. They are supposed to be made from the jequirity bean. More commonly known as the rosary pea. It's a bright red/orange pea with a dot of black. It resembles the lady bug. The most important thing to remember is, regardless of the beads you use it the colors, it is wrong to wear a rosary. Never wear a rosary. It is not a magic talisman and it is not a necklace. I was going to make 6 rosaries for sunday but when my stuff came in today i realized i bought beading wire instead o metal working wire. Glad you made this video and i found it, you may have just saved my butt lol - thanks!
This was a great video. The only thing I would add that is extremely simple and elevates the finished look is just to put a crimp cover over the little crimped holders. I have them in silver, gold and bronze depending on the color scheme of the rosary, and it makes a huge difference and makes it look more finished. Thank you for this!!!
I want to thank everyone for the positive responses and questions. I have, unfortunately, had to make time to work a regular job to make ends meet at home. This does take time away from crafting to the point that I am unable to keep my shop filled with inventory. I miss my beads. I hope to bring more videos and creations to all of you. Stay tuned. Any requests?
Hi Milo I just found your site, and subscribed. I'm a returning Catholic after many, many yrs. I am wanting to make my own Rosary out of real crystal beads. My question is, if I use 6 mms crystals beads for the Hail Mary's, would a 8mms crystal beads work for the Our Fathers? It's been So long, that I'm embarrassed to ask, but if I don't ask I won't know. Thankfully, I remember all the prayers and the mass. I guess a old woman doesn't forget her childhood beginnings. BLESSINGS!
Sorry for the late response. I believe the 8mm would work really well. It depends on your preference though. 6 moving into 8 seems to be a natural transition in my opinion. I have made some rosaries with 6's and 10's, but very infrequently. I only make rosaries rarely as gifts now, and I will use 8mm and 10mm in general unless someone wants the rosary to be smaller.
Hi, Milo, Thanks for this video. I am planning to make rosaries using my pearl necklaces using your method. Could you please let me know where do you get your crucifix and middle.
I have been making rosaries with tiger tail wire @ 0.38mm but sometimes they have broken at a later date at the centre piece or cross. It's usually the grandchildren'a rosaries, which probably get pulled around a bit 🤔. I wonder if it's because the wire is too lightweight? 😮 The crimp beads have held firm.
