I made my own rosary when I was 21. I am 48 years old now and still carry the same rosary everyday. Two years ago I made 13 rosaries and gave it to my close friends for Christmas to encourage them to pray the rosary everyday. With the rosary I also gave them CD (audio rosary) which they can listen/pray the rosary on their way to work or after leaving work in the car.

I have a beautiful rosary beads which is called the rosary of the unborn each bead is shaped in a teardrop with a baby inside and a red cross at the end of each decade . I liked your video. My favorite Rosary was blessed by Pope John Paul II in Rome while he was alive. I wish it were stronger physically, because now it's starting to fall apart and I really want to save it as a relic. Great job on the video. Thank you for sharing!
Love it... Same here. Our priest gave us rosaries blessed by now St. John Paul 2. It fell apart after years of handling the beads everyday for years -- knowing one day I'd have a relic of our great saint John Paul 2.
I always carry a Luminous Rosary. I love it more when I turn off the lights before I go to sleep and it illuminates. I feel like God is closer with me when I see the lumen of the rosary during bed time.

I picked up that catholic gentleman rosary today. I was active duty military and love military type items. I will use this a lot and won't feel like it will break on me if I carry it with me

I got my first rosary from my grandmother for my first holy communion. It was a simple red plastic rosay but it meant a lot to me. I kept it even though I didn't immediately start praying the rosary frequently. I learned to pray on this rosary and I took it with me wherever I went. It was always under my pillow. A few years ago I was at a conference at a convent in St. Lucia. For some reason I forgot my precious rosary under the pillow and it was left behind. But I saw it as a sign to step up in my faith. So I had this other rosary that I got not so long ago from the papal nuncio who was visting our diocese. I was at a reception in his honor and he was giving all the ladies papal rosaries. I had kept it but didn't pray so much on it because I was faithful to my grandmothers rosary 😊. So when I lost the rosary from my childhood I thought it was probably time to use the papal one. That one's now under my pillow and I pray on it everyday.
I converted to the Catholic Church on 04/08/1988 having attended masses with my very good friend who was a Franciscan nun. Secretly she had been praying for my conversion. She made rosaries in the convent and made my very first one for me. Yes, I do carry it in my purse. My very good friend for 37 years. I was with her when she died a very peaceful death with a slight smile on her face. I miss her, but I feel her Spirit around me and know she is in heaven with her Jesus she always spoke about.

I have three Rosaries: one hangs on the wall just as I enter my flat. It was given to me by a dear old friend, before she passed away. The other also a gift, with stained roses on the beads, stays under my pillow (I've been sleeping with a Rosary under my pillow since I was a child.) The third I carry in my handbag. The one in my handbag I bought four years ago at the Westminster Cathedral in London. Young monks make Rosaries and other religious items for sale at the bookshop to help with upkeep of the Cathedral. It's a very simple Rosary, made with wooden beads, but the story behind it is very special for me. Thanks for this video. I will definitely share it.

I've received a bronze rosary with the St Benedict, Miraculous medal and Pardon Cross for my husband yesterday. I've prayed a full luminous mystery on it both yesterday and this morning. I have popped it under the mattress on his side.
I'm praying for him to accept Christ and I'm sure that praying the Luminous mystery on it daily will be beneficial to his accepting Christ.

I have a wooden Rosary given to me by my mother in law who is Irish Catholic & I have a lot of respect for her because of how strong her faith is, I always feel as if part of her strength has been passed down along with it & cherish it although it's not one I would carry around so Thanx for the websites I'm going to buy one to carry with me.

The rosary I carry with me is wooden and it it's a miniature rosary. It has little beads but because it's small it's tricky to not skip over a bead. So I'm on the look out for an alternative and you've given me some ideas.
My rosary was given to me by my neighborhood. One of her daughters is a nun based in Vatican and the rosary was blessed.
What makes it more appealing is, it's a glow in the dark rosary.

It is cool! I used to be a Buddhist for years and they have a rosary analog and I used to string them all the time, I’m now in RCIA and have cut one of my old ones to make a conversion rosary, devoting all those beads I used to do mantras on to where they should have always gone to the holy trinity. Now I do it every day and it actually has substance where the mantras did not, that’s my story! Go ahead and try to make one! It’s very rewarding!
I just bought a 6 decades Rosary in Lourdes. ST Bernadette had one, praying an extra decade for the conversion of sinners. Friends buy Rosaries for me when they knowing i collect them.

Thank you for an insightful video on the Holy Rosary. I started making rosaries a year ago upon the sudden death of one of my children. I make them, and I give them away to bereaved members of my church, to my friends as gifts and now I sell some to finance the costs of continuing to make rosaries and to be able to give them away. Currently, I provide rosaries to our parish priests to give to those who they visit in the hospital etc; I provide them to one of our Deacons who ministers to men who are trying to get away from drugs and alcohol, and to another for distribution to sailors who visit our port. My Christmas Gifts were Rosaries - birthstone rosaries for each child, grandchild and their spouses. Rosary-making has become a hobby turned Ministry. Best of luck in your endeavors. I was looking for a “manly” rosary a year ago and stumble upon Rugged Rosaries. I immediately bought the black Crusaders rosary. I love it and 100% agree with your feeling that it is a spiritual weapon. Just a week ago I bought another for myself and one to give as a gift to a friend coming into the church. Thank you! I love my rosary I got in Fatima this past February. It has crystal type beads and a center piece with St. Jacinta on one side and OLF with the 3 shepherd children on the other. It was venerated to the tombs of the children and many other sacred places. I experienced much grace and love of Our Lady during my stay there.
How fortunate that you were able to visit Fatima! I have a rosary from Fatima with pearly heart shaped beads and some earth from Fatima in the centerpiece, it's very beautiful. I have it hanging over my bed.

Hello Gabi! I have been saying and making rosaries for many, many, many years. Probably since I was a teenager and I'm now in my 50s. I love making them and find it relaxing. Those rosaries that you have featured are beautiful. I mostly use wood and semi-precious stones nowadays. I have been wanting to make full metal rosaries but had been intimidated by the wait. I try to always take pictures and wish I could show them to you. I have made many and given many away. At times I sell them just to recover the costs but I find it so hard to sell them. To me I feel like they are pieces of art.
Gabi, thank you for posting video's I find them so inspirational. I too have had an encounter, actually more than one but one in particular that really scared me at the time. Normally I'm not afraid because I have faith in God our Lord Jesus Christ and our Holy Mother Mary. In that moment though I was so afraid I prayed to our holy mother under my breath and begged her to send archangel Michael. Then I remembered Psalm 23 and just let go of my fear with full confidence that Mother Mary would hear me.. Gabi! The room literally lit up and the evil left the room! I don't talk much about it or go into detail much, not really sure why. Now I have personal testimony that our Lord does love us, DOES answers our prayers and we DO have a living relationship with our Lord. I'm going to try to start saying the full rosary everyday as well now. Thank you again for sharing. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!
When I returned to my faith on September 14, 2003 by signing up to a confirmation class. I wear a purple plastic rosary. It was free and it's a great help to inspire me to love and walk with God. Hopefully this Saturday I'll be able to attend the retreat and visit their gift shop to purchase a rosary. In a show of support to craft that people do in making these beautiful and important weapons to fight evil and inspire the good.

I just discovered the power of praying a Rosary ... s-l-o-w-l-y. I have never liked the Rosary before, but I wanted to obey Our Lady, and everyone knows that SERIOUS Catholics concentrate on daily Mass, frequent Adoration, and daily Rosary. Plus I found myself the focus of demonic attack, and we know the Rosary routs evil, so I picked up praying it daily for protection-which absolutely worked, by the way. I was protected from attack! So I have been striving to pray it daily, and I’m learning to take my time and really mentally focus on the mysteries, to really personalize them and concentrate on Jesus and His Mother. I have also begun a devotion to St. Michael, against demonic attack, and Rugged Rosaries have a St. Michael chaplet! Their Rosaries definitely look rugged! My favorite that I consistently use is a hand crafted fine Italian wooden Rosary, made with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. Love it. Thank you for this video. I enjoy your content. Hi, I totally agree on your comment regarding the slow rendition of the holy rosary , and yes I wish to be more serious in my faith. While not trying to appear better than anyone it was very sad to see the rosary said at break neck speed in some churches.

Nice presentation. I own the Rugged Rosary- Glossy Black Beads & Knights Templar design. I purchased another as a gift. I also use something at work which helps a great deal. I wear a lot of gear in my law enforcement work and so the unique Rosary I carry daily is a "Tenner Rosary". It has an Our Father, bead, & 10 Hail Mary beads. At the end is the St. Benedict medallion & I changed out the cross that came with it and placed a larger cross on it making it very unique and personal to me. There's Irish History with the Tenner Rosary. There's also the corded rosaries I like to give away as gifts- I prefer the black ones and I call them tactical Rosary because they do not make noise - perfect for military & police.

Last year I got my husband the combat Rosary and he loved it! He still won’t pray the Rosary. The combat Rosary is a very nice Rosary, but I find the beads to be just about 7mm, a bit smaller than I thought. It’s still nice! A little over a year later I’m watching this video again and I LOVE the last Rosary that you show and I’m thinking about getting one for myself. I have a lot of Rosaries, but after awhile the color comes off of the beads from my fingers and hands and I tend put them aside. The last Rosary in this video looks like it can handle years of praying. I’ll be checking out the website that has these.
I just went online to Rugged Rosaries and they are sold out of the Catholic Gentlemen’s Rosary. Since there’s only 4 days until Christmas this doesn’t surprise me. I’ll keep checking the website until they get them in.

I found your video by accident and love it! Here’s my story. I love wood working. My neighbor, Bill, also a wood worker, was in San Luis Obispo, California, and came across a 17th Century Monastery where some ancient olive trees had been cut down and sawed into rounds. He was allowed to take a truck load and shared some of the harvest with me. As it turned out, my sister was making rosaries so I decided to give it a try. I learned to carve my own beads and make my own wooden crucifixes; then I found a website were rosary parts were sold and bought metal corpus’ and center pieces. Then I learned how to make rosary knots. My sister loved her rosary and I have since made many of them, gifts for family and friends. It’s a wonderful, meditative process. Perhaps the best outcome of this adventure is that i began to pray the rosary, daily, and continue to do so. Ten years ago, praying the rosary mid-day would have been the farthest thing from my mind. Anyway, I greatly enjoyed your video and wish you all the best! Tim . . . . P.s. I created a special rosary of my own, based on the apparitions of Mary in Medjugorje. In one of her apparitions she asked that we say a specific set of prayers for peace. It’s an abbreviated rosary called the Peace Rosary, and I’m sure I was not the first person to make one. But it’s designed for people who lead busy, hectic lives, and find it difficult to catch a moment for prayer. I’ve made a lot of Peace Rosaries and people tell me that the Peace Rosary has led them to reciting the full rosary once they experience the joy of prayer.

Several months ago, I got my first rosary from a street vendor who was selling books, postcards, and beads. He'd placed several rosaries among the good luck charms and Buddhist beads (probably without understanding the rosary's purpose). A couple weeks later, after thinking about the rosaries I saw, I went back to the vendor, and felt God direct me to two rosaries in particular. One was rather small, but the other was just large enough to fit over my head, so I got that one.
Sometime afterwards, I went into a cathedral gift shop and bought a wrist rosary. Now I can choose whether to wear my "Bible of beads" around my neck or on my wrist. :)

I use "The Warriors Rosary" , it has 5 saints on each our father (St. Jospeh, St. George the great martyr, St.ignatius, St.Louis the IX, and St. Jose sanchez del rio) as well as a st micheal medal, a Center piece of our lady shining her graces on a women who represents Mother Church Knighting a Servant, and A beautiful Crucifix in a shape of a sword that has a st Benedict medal at the tip of the handle of the sword Crucifix. It is truely a great rosary, though a bit pricey (about 99 us dollars) but well worth it because it makes you feel like an actual warrior.

I gave my husband a Combat Rosary five years ago when I first discovered them. He’s loved it ever since. Now as the RCIA director at our parish, this is what I suggest during Mystagogy. It’s also what my husband gives as a Confirmation gift to the men he sponsors each year. His is always in his pocket and has never broken. The Paracord Wrist Rosaries will be this year’s Rite of Initiation gift for our new neophytes along with the address to your youtube site. Thank you so much Gabriel! I loved your math!

Are the pre-made rosaries still available? I went to the site listed on the youtube given and didn't find them. I have our candidates and our catechists who'd I'd also like to thank by gifting them with the Paracord wrist Rosaries. Love the cards though and so agree with your statement about showing them love and leaving them with things that draw them back to our Lord and with sacramentals and prayer tools.

Great vid! I have a Jerusalem Rosary, and the one I received at First Communion, but the onen I use I made myself. I made a single decade [Penal Rosary] using paracord, a split ring, and wooden beads my daughter gave me. I carry it with me and pray with it all the time. Blessings!

I’ve never heard of a combat Rosary before (and I’m a military wife....lol) nor have I seen one before. My husband is retired Air Force and he doesn’t like girly looking things nor is he into wood bead Rosaries. (My husband isn’t a Catholic....but I’m praying for his conversion....and sadly he doesn’t believe in the Rosary....which I need to pray for too.) I find that a lot of people I know, they’re favorite Rosary is one that someone makes for them. Thank you for the info on the combat Rosary. It’s very manly and nice looking!

I recently learned that when we pray to a Saint, we really pray along with that Saint. Maybe that concept would help him see how our spirits can align with the saints in devotion. I find that devotional prayer and prayers of appreciation really sweeten my day and striving to do these prayers daily brightens everything, especially in the current times.
I enjoyed this video very much, thank you! I have several nice rosaries, each with different styles, and I love all of them. However I had gotten lax about praying my daily rosary, until a dear friend sent me an article about a rosary novena that was taking place. After reading that article I felt guided and inspired to start praying my daily rosary again. I had a silver metal "rosary ring" that fits in the palm of one's hand, and I decided to walk to the nearby park while praying the rosary with my rosary ring. As I stepped out of my front door and began the prayers, I saw to my amazement, that my silver rosary ring had turned gold! I felt like it was a confirmation from Our Lady that she was glad I was praying the rosary again! This happened 3 months ago, and I carry that rosary ring with me always, it is still a bright gold! Shortly after this occurred, an acquaintance of mine unexpectedly gifted me with a rosary from the Vatican that was blessed by Pope Francis, made of red colored wood, with the scent of roses, and that is the rosary I've been praying with. But my gold rosary ring is always in my pocket or purse, wherever I go!
I use a wooden beaded/crucifix rope rosary with small icons of Saint Charbel for the Our Father beads. I love it!

I have the combat rosary from Rugged Rosaries and the Gentleman's rosary from them as well. Having a rosary that you really like does seem to make it easier to pray the rosary. Thanks for a great video.
I carry a rugged rosary in my purse to pray en route to work. My special and favorite rosaries are kept at home because I do not want to lose them. I LOVE rosaries. I have many rosaries. Thank you for sharing this video. :D
I really love the look of the combat Rosary! It's really unique and I wouldn't worry about it getting broken. The Rosary I pray with most often is the one I got that was my grandmothers. I got it when she died. It is delicate though so I cannot carry it around with me. I have a sigle decade Rosary hanging in my van, a finger Rosary on my keychain. When I buy Rosaries to give to people, I buy a simple fabric knotted five decade Rosary. I would like to get one that is more easily carried in my skirt pocket. I may just make one myself.
My children have a large wooden bead kid's Rosary that they like to pray with and that we pray with together at bed time. These were great gift suggestions! God Bless you!
I have around 14 rosaries from Rugged Rosary, including about 5 of the WWI Rosaries (all with different crucifixes and two different metals), about 3 "pre-set" rosaries from the paracord (both in plastic and metal beads) and 6 "custom" made rosaries including both all metal and a combination of metal/plastic beads. I have these up on my inner closet door to be like the "batman" belt to choose which weapon I will need for the day (depending on the day of the week, feast day and what I'm wearing like a suite for work or jeans). I have found I am daily praying the rosary around 3x's, the Divine Mercy Chaplet at least once and then the Jesus Prayer at least once. These rosaries are versatile and awesome to pray on. I have given several away as gifts as well. Yes, I have spent much money at Rugged Rosary, but as GabiAfterHours explains, if a family member, friend or even myself pray the rosary just one more time then the money is worth it. We are in a spiritual battle and I would recommend not only praying the rosary but ordering a rosary from Rugged Rosaries to be a lifelong companion in your daily spiritual fight with Jesus, Mary and the Saints at your side. I have a “Jerusalem” rosary and a “Vatican” rosary but they are easily disconnected. I’m planning to buy a rugged rosary when my paycheck comes this week (as my Easter gift to myself) 😅
And I end up with the Roman Catholic Gear’s rosary (the gun metal version because the rosary is the “weapon” says padre pio)

I have several rosaries. My preference is to pray with the rosary that I held with my mother as she was passing, it was her mother's rosary. I have one blessed thru the Vatican. I like the rosary at 10 seconds and the one at 28 seconds...I want each of those. Beautiful rosaries all the way around!!! Thank You!!
I have a black rosary a gift of my bestfriend from St Patrick's Catheral in New York. I placed it with st benedict and miraculous medals.
I have several rosaries. Rugged Rosaries the gray gentleman with silver beeds & St. Benedict crucifix. as well a the silver combat rosary with the triple threat crucifix ar two of my favorite. I also special ordered a 20 Decade rosary made with para cord and gunmetal Gray beads. they all have thier time and place.

The one I carry around was a gift at the time of my confirmation; the one in my car is my first given to me by the friend who brought me into the Catholic Church - it's from Prague made of gold and Czech glass - beautiful. Then the one beside my chair that gets used the most is one that smells like roses : ) - I love the smell of roses as pray the bouquet of roses for Our Lady! Those are my three faves.
I also have one of the rosaries that smell like roses, that lovely scent adds a special touch to praying the rosary. Also, my scented rosary is from the Vatican and was blessed by Pope Francis. I love praying with it.
My rosary that I use is a plastic green rosary, it is really special to me because I received it at the first Catholic retreat I went on, which was an amazing and very spiritual experience for me. I just started praying the rosary daily a couple days ago so please pray for me that I will stay faithful to it.
I likewise carry a Rugged Rosary with me every day. It’s the only rosary that I’ve carried that has never broken in my pocket!

my favorite rosary was given to me by my brother, he was in Italy and had gone to Vatican City and on that day, he happened to be there when Pope Francis was there and Pope Franics came out on the balcony and greeted and blessed everyone. It was really special, and he got me a rosary from there and just kind of was something I kept and I carry it in my pocket always.
I carry the faith over fear rosary from rugged rosaries. I got it for Christmas and it’s a great gift. It’s got a lot of solid weight to it and I love that.

When i was getting ready for confirmation after getting back into the church in college, we took a trip to the cathedral and while there, there was a man who was handing out handmade glass bead rosaries. That was my first rosary as an adult and it is the rosary that i carry and pray to this day

I had a rosary made custom by an orthodox Christian who usually makes prayer ropes, it’s the only rosary I’ve never broken, although I do lose it a lot because it’s pretty small and light. I’ve been meaning to add medals to it for ages, but that hasn’t happened yet...

I always carry a rosary made of cultured freshwater pearl and it's very powerful. Thanks for this video. I'll buy St. Padre Pio, st. Archangel Michael, st. Benedict and Miraculous medal and put them in my rosary.
