Hey everyone! In this week’s video we will be making a rosary! This has been long requested since my other two rosaries I created in previous videos. I am not where near an expert on jewelry making nor an expert on making DIY videos, so I hope this video was not too confusing. I hope that at the end of this video, you will be able to understand the basics of rosary making. But if you do not want to make a rosary of your own, please check out my rosary store (www.prayforusro...)

Just like some of the other people here, I'm not of any Christian faith; still thinking about who to follow, but with a catholic friend's birthday coming along, I figured that I could make their day with a brand-new rosary since I've heard that they lost their last one. Thank you for the rosary-making guide, and I hope that everyone has a good day!

Thank you...this was very helpful. I'm getting back into rosary making after about 10 years of not making them. Helpful tip to avoid the kinks---make the eye pin loops perpendicular to each other with each bead assembly, and let the rosary dangle to unwind before completing the final connection between the Crucifix and the center piece. Great vid!

Thank you so much! I was not looking to ever make a rosary until I was informed that my granddaughter was soon to have her first Communion. As I know this is very important, I went back and found your video (that I had stumbled across while learning to do bead work) and watched it about a dozen times. When I was sure I knew what I needed, I watched and paused this video throughout the assembly. I also learned the Hail Mary's so that I could pray them while attaching everything. God bless you for this and for being patient and repetitive. Your voice is soothing and it kept me going even when I messed up and had to repeat sections. God bless

Hi SquirrelGirl! I am going to try to make my own Rosary and also found this video very helpful. What I can't seem to figure out is what size bulk chain to order. I've got the pins on the way but have to return the chain I ordered because it's way too small. What size did you use for your granddaughter's?

Since making my first rosary this way I now use a pair of 2.25 mm beadsmith 1 step looper pliers which has increased my productivity as I can loop the beads in ¼ of the time it takes to do without them.

Very clear instructions and we wont forget it!! Repetition helps cement the procedure in our memory. We can use this technique for making earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. ...and you can make stronger link by doing a single or double wire wrap between each bead. This is a great start for making jewelry in a rosary design. Thank you!!

To all those lauding this young craftswoman for her expertise and not wishing to delve more deeply into this devotion to prayers to Our Lady, I am going to pass on a little pearl of information to help you realise it is not just a devotion with little power, quite the contrary.
I discovered that the 8 Jesuit priests who survived the WWII bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki did so for over 30 years after the devastation because they cited what they did differently to all other disaster victims: They said mass daily and prayed the ROSARY. Mary is powerful before God. And this speaks volumes for our divided Christians who say why bother with an intercessary person, go straight to Jesus. Well, it is likened to the relationship between a King and his wife, the Queen. If you were to ask the King for something he may not respond in the positive immediately, but, if you make an appeal to his wife, the Queen, He might just not be able to resist her pleas...that is how we are to view the power of Mary before God. He tends to refuse her nothing. Amen

Also, I am glad you repeated the sections so when we watch and make we know and follow where we are and where you are. I think it was very much needed. I also liked how you explained what the beads were, for Hail Mary and Our Father etc. this makes it easier to relate and get the idea how to make this precisely. Thank you so much for this. I do have to agree it can be a song lol :). We know what you meant :)💕. Thank you again for a fantastic tutorial and video close ups 👏🏻💕🥰

Buy some fishing line swivels, they come in different sizes and black or stainless, the swivel is smaller than a bead, use them between decades on either side of the "our Father bead". It will make it easy to find where the "decade ends" without looking, and allows the chain to "Relax" when grandmas twist up and tangle the chain. I have repaired many rosaries that twist apart, and I use hemostats that will clamp shut, I'm 71 and I drop things, and can't pick up with old fingers.
