Loving the derm reacts series!! More of these please :) And I really like Dr. Sam Ellis. She is so composed and gracefully, giving really useful tips and advice.
Something that helped my sensitive rosacea prone skin that gets those small bumps is stopping wearing makeup regularly, not use using water daily,I use a milk cleanser to take off spf,but twice a week I use lrp sa micro peeling facewash to stop clogged pores.just simple routine.even with spf ,don't get face in direct sunlight as it'll heat up and there's that redflare
I have dry skin and when I only use water in the morning my skin is even drier. I always use a gentle moisturizing cleanser, just using water has the opposite effect
Don't see why this could possibly hurt. You'd want to use it before something occlusive (like your moisturizer), though I imagine it'd be fairly harmless to spray after or throughout the day as long as you're not in an extremely dry environment.
If I didn’t love you before this video…I ADORE YOU SUSAN! Yes to mentioning being prone to yeast infections THANK YOU! You are an incredible creator 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💕💕
The thing about rosacea is sunscreen tends to burn. It doesn’t matter if it’s chemical or mineral. I tried using the eltaMD sunscreen which is made for rosacea & it burned.
I like the one from apostrophe or even the hero one but the hero one you have to really blend in Bc it has a green tint but I love using it before makeup.
May not work for everyone, but I think a great sunscreen for makeup is the cetaphil sheer mineral liquid spf50. Leaves skin pretty matte, nice ingredients and leaves a blank canvas (some white cast)
I am not sure if it's specifically for oily skin but I really like the La Roche Posay Fluide Invisible Anthelios both SPF 30 and 50. I have normal to dry skin but as it is liquid I wouldn't think it would be too heavy for any skin type.
Does anyone talk about the internal aspect of rosacea? Rosacea has to be treated from the inside. Brianna Stanko has a informative video on here on how she treated her rosacea from the inside out.
I was prescribed a Tretnoin by my dr because of my acne however on the description it says to put it on bare clean face but UA-cam influencers suggest to put it last in the skin care routine. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do?!?!
Sometimes people put their moisturizer under Tretinoin to act as a barrier so it’s a little more gentle on your skin. When I was on it for my acne I used to moisturize around my mouth area, then put on the tretinoin, and then moisturize my whole face. My mouth area would always be so dry and irritated from it that I found this helped. You should ask your dermatologist what they recommend for your skin 🙂
Yeah, my derm told me to put it on over moisturizer. Trust me, it still works! The product probably says that because it might work best that way, but working best could also mean more irritation.
I love these vids, but these seem to go the same nowadays, instead of recommending a routine or giving an idea of what the proposed prescription treatment might be.
My rosacea skin loves the sun. Guess it makes me happy and reduces stress for me. Can’t be the only one 🙈 Love this video of you guys. Much more informative than the first rosacea video.
I dont see the point of this...why cant she give medical advice if shes a doctor? This just sends everyone to the dermatologist again, its not of any help.

What do you think of a rose water and glycerin spray?

Thank you guys for the replies I’m gonna try some out, I have oily skin in some areas but then dry in others and the acne and rosacea 🤣
Can Rosacea sufferers use an SPF of 100 to 150? The higher the better, right?
After a certain level of SPF the effects are the same they would probably recommend an SPF 70 and apply generously and reapply throughout the day
Is it diet related?

Thank you for this! I’m fed up using topical creams I need info on the internal issues.
Thanks for the mite info. Now I’m itchy all over 🤣

You can't give medical advice to someone you haven't seen personally.
@@MrsPendergast But doctors give online appointments, why cant she?
Because she is watching a prerecorded video and can ask the patient no questions. And this is a UA-cam channel...
@@MrsPendergast Pointless as I said.
