coming from osrs, it took me ~10 tries for a flawless run without any real previous rs3 pvm experience, so thank you. challenge 3 was the hardest, died majority of times there. I couldn't get barricade up, because I had to use adrenaline to push 50k on zuk and in challenge I didn't have 100% adren "pizza" phase was the most easiest part of the entire encounter imo
Great guide I ended up getting my zuk cape :D A few things from a pvm newbs perspective (I've only really done kril and arch glacor prior to) I was suprised at the lack of guides on kiln for necro before even getting to zuk. Maybe make a quick kiln necro guide on one someday? :) That pickaxe phase burnt through my supplies lol. I didn't realize this had to be completed first and thought id lose my fire cape if I died and have to redo it to get another. Anyways I beat it with a friend walking me through it, and got the necro kiln cape. It took me about 10 deaths to get the zuk cape. It's super nice that he let's you start back from where you died last and that you don't have to ace the challenge waves to get the igneous stone, just survive. The mechanics eventually weren't an issue I'd just run out of food too fast. Also death costs were only 55k, but made about 4mil per run so profited while learning :D My setup for my newb completion last night was more like your second setup. The obsidian mage helm (took like 10 minutes to get enough shards from the cauldron to smith one and offer it) cryptbloom gloves and boots, then the T90 necro tank armour, and the T90 necro weapons. I used a yak and filled it with lots of blue blubbers, Sara brews, and super restores. This allowed me to just focus on the mechanics and not have to worry about the supplies. My damage was definitely low, and had to do some phases twice but I was incredibly tanky. Also side note every "pizza" phase I had the red particle effects were completely invisible so that was fun.
Now that Jagex fixed Zuk’s fire, I was able to defeat Zuk and obtain all of my Zuk capes!!! Thank you for this awesome, detailed, step by step guide that was able to help a boss noob like me haha 😂 Before Zuk, the “hardest” boss I could reliably do solo were like Vindicta and Helwyr. Nex I can duo but being able to defeat a tier 90 boss made me very happy
@@robertarrowood3651 there was a glitch that plagued the Zuk fight during the “Pizza” phase where the fire literally was invisible but was still there so you could quickly die without knowing where to properly position yourself. It’s fixed now so it doesn’t matter

Great video on how to finish zuk. Didn't get my cape yet but at least i managed to get my first kill so i can attune my portal instead of walking all the way back for each attempt. Next goal is to get a run without checkpoints to get the cape
I totally suck at Zuk. This guide has helped me (mostly) understand what i'm doing but when i get to the round with mage, melee and ranged i get smacked so hard. I can't keep me health up and just end up spamming food. What am i missing?? would a Vamp aura or the aegis aura help most with keep HP up? i'm using a blood reaver with cinderbanes and kwuarm incense too

I just wanna ask, after casting skulls on Zuk just before last challenge, how do you manage to reach 100% adrenaline for barricade? even using adren pot like you did not help and I am using revolution as well. 15:46 I do 2x finger of death + death grasp special attack and that dude still have like 1/4hp left. You use once death grasp and he is dead. Its alot easier with eof guthix staff. Every time 4k+ hit :D
You wanna make sure to grasp with like 8+ necro stacks to guarantee a massive hit. If you blow your stacks on FoD, then grasp, its a waste. So something like this: build 8 stacks on/before Zuk. Vuln + Grasp the big guy, touch, finger. Should kill it every time
Only thing I would change on your guide, is remove the parts about wearing non Necro armour. You no longer want to wear any non Necro armour, as they have added negative stat bonuses when wearing anything else. So by wearing Cryptbloom or that mage helm, it is only crippling your run, by making you hit less. 100% ONLY wear gear for your class, anything else is bad.
@@Gutigwolfe As far as I can tell, they only increased the penalty for wearing off style gear. But you can still wear it and boost your stats high enough to be above 100%. They mostly made that change because there was a method to afk rasial where you would wear 5 pieces of cbloom and still have 100% on him. Personally, I would only use the obby helm for this as you can get 9% reduc with the ability to use darkness and only 1 piece of gear with a penalty (negligible). 3p of cbloom was where you maybe started to see noticeable penalties (although idk because with elder ovl and sorrow I was getting 95-100% on the creatures. but maybe zuk was way worse)
So I just did a run with 3p cbloom and its actually ridiculous how good it is LOL. You can just face tank just about every wave. 100% damage on everything but the melee blobs (96%) and Jad (90%). Har aken and Zuk are 100% still. @@Gutigwolfe
The damage accuracy loss from the obsidian helm is made up by the 30% damage reduction, which helps over all the waves. I’m 50 kc in and it’s easy mode when you use the fight cauldron boost, I’ll occasionally use my first necromancy set, but it’s overkill
This might be a stupid question but would robes of the first necromancer and all that change much of this guide in a significant way? Or should i stick to tank gear?
Every other guide for getting to Zuk was just awful, truly, by the time I got to him consistently I was at like 3-4 food, even this one, but at least this guide shows you the proper safe spots I guess, but you don't even have to bring along a blood reaver, just safe spot an enemy at the end of every round and Zuk is always attackable and the ghost will heal you to full lol You should have used 0 food by the time you reach Zuk this way unless you get into a bad situation or really screw up a challenge. This is only if you're looking for a Zuk cape, this is not for farming Zuk, it is extremely slow and tedious.
and I have no clue how half of the youtubers just leave on soul split and not get nuked, pray accordingly, don't soul split unless you know what you're doing.
idk how possible that is. Rago is mostly down to you knowing reflect times, dealing with bleeds, and the 6 weekly mechs. It'd take me 6 weeks min to make that vid and I prob wouldn't start something that til I move into my new place.

Use a hellhound familiar. It absorbs 20% of any (including typeless) damage you take. Just use prism of restoration to keep it alive. And don’t forget your darkness incantation for a 20% evasion chance Give it a try now, Jagex fixed Zuk’s fire (at least on mobile) and I was able to get all 4 of my Zuk capes. And bro, that’s coming from someone who’s not the best at bossing haha. All I do is slayer, I essentially brute force thru boss encounters 😂

you can manually cast defensive basics, like anticipate/preparation/freedom to build extra adren

Some quest gives you the Dive ability which lets you dive with any wep equipped

Nah I tested it, you still get 95-100% damage on the mobs

Pizza phase is now fixed. I got my first Igneous Stone when it was bugged. Definitely much easier now

the 'dive' ability from the succession quest. Its like bladed dive but does no damage and requires no melee weps to use.
