@SuperFutureTrunks1 I understand where youre coming from because my gear isnt great either, but you have it twisted. First off, theres a positive feedback loop that you just need to break into. One big upgrade will have you making massive gp, which will give you a better upgrade that will have you making more gp, and so on. There are plenty of afk methods for making >20m/hr (eg abyssal lords), especially with cryptbloom. Youre comparing yourself to an extremely small percentage of players who have been playing for years. Its also possible that many of these players got a lucky drop, propelling them ahead in gear massively. One lucky drop from a clue can net you 8b. Join masses for the harder bosses at a chance at that loot too (eg Nex AOD for the t99 prayers). To put it bluntly: if youre struggling to earn >10m/hr, then that's on you. Yeah, playing catchup is demotivating and difficult, but with enough patience you'll inevitably get that drop that makes you rich. If you don't want to practice enough to be able to stand up to the hardest bosses in the game, then 1) you can't expect to be entitled to the best gear and 2) you don't need the best gear. Don't spend a ton of money on the bis gear when you can wait for the next upgrade to come out, sending the previously-bis gear down to half price! Still, what you're experiencing is extremely frustrating and you're not alone whatsoever. Just know its not a conspiracy. gl with it

So, little known fact, you can teleport to any boss regardless of kc, if you are maxed. Use the Max Guild pvm portal at the top of the stairs, and you can teleport to any boss. For those of you who don't know. :)
I really want these capes, but legit, watched this video start to finish, I just don't think I can even do it if I try 🙃 wish everything was simpler these days, last thing I remember learning properly in RuneScape was the Ascension bosses and QBD lol.
Trust, I thought the same thing. Its free death right now this week, so go in there and you'll see it's not AS hard as you thought. It's tougher than the Kiln, sure. But Zuk is a good boss and drops good loot. Especially in HM

I just got my zuk cape after a week of trying. The waves were easy, zuk himself was easy, i struggled only with the pizza phase as I couldnt kill the mobs fast enough, and when i managed to kill them, I would surge to the next but ended up over shooting into the flames and dying because of that. A HUGE thing I decided to try, although may not be favored, Is death touch darts. These darts can be used on the minions during the pizza phase which will give you plently of time to get to the next one. Another tip is walk under zuk and then walk to the next if you have trouble over surging like i did. Hope this helps
Im pretty sure i had 20+ deaths and watched wave 15 and the pizza wave like 20+ times and i got my first zuk kill with checkpoints. Even though i died so many times the practice is what i liked the most. Going to attempt again shortly for the stone so i can upgrade my necro cape. Thanks Protoxx you are a RS goat!!!
I would recommend using the SE safespot for 2x and 3x jad waves; for the former, you can clear mobs + prayer bat then take on Jads easily without needing much care for positioning. Also, you can use Natural Instinct on Zuk at the end of the challenge waves and build to DS/Sun and save adren pots if your damage isn't enough in a pinch. In normal mode, you can clear all minions in special phases and nothing more will spawn so you can freely SS to full and prep your ult rotation. You can also stack storm shards on him throughout the fight, and during the pizza phase between minions to deal a massive hit to clear last 100k (or phase to 100k) quickly.
@@ProtoxxGaming Re: triple jad, it's because you only end up luring middle jad over, and can move around more (that's more applicable for HM as you need space for flame wave and don't want to catch another jad hit), and then just go straight north and fight that jad, then west to the other. In NW spot, all three get lured over.
For anyone struggling to clear the DPS check on the pizza phase using range, I found the following rotation works: Freedom, Surge to minion #1, Tight Bindings, Vulnerability Bomb, Snap Shot, Bombardment Surge to minion #2, Vulnerability Bomb, Rapid Fire, Shadow Tendrils Surge to minion #3, Vulnerability Bomb, Snap Shot, Bombardment, Rapid Fire I did this using perked Anima Core of Zamorak (body and legs), Perked Ascension Crossbows, Cinderbanes, a TokKul-Zo, and a Scripture of Wen. The Winds End perk from my Fleeting Boots helped to start damaging the second minion while simultaneously getting into an appropriate position. The rotation works, but there's no room for errors. Realistically, it took me around 50+ attempts to learn the fight. Have fun!
It's actually super annoying how inaccessible they make all of the new content to the average player. I hate spending an entire day researching all of the gear, setups, guides, mechanics, you name it just so I can attempt a new boss or new content, only to fail it 50 times and get extremely frustrated then go do other content until I regain enough courage to try learning it again.
I made peace with the fact I'll get my flawless hard mode kill once the first challenge gets the mobs closer or Ranged gets a new update. Right now it feels Magic is the absolute best way to get the BIS cape, but I'm nowhere near as experienced with magic as i am with Melee or Ranged. So I'm gonna sit this one out until later in the future.
I haven't tried hard mode yet. What are you using for 1st challenge? I'm going to try today for it im also a ranged melee only person. I use ecb spec wep+++ cinder bane kwaurm sticks with greater rico. I hoping thats going to be enough to complete that challenge.
Today i just did my first hm flawless kill with ranged, for the first challenge just camp hydrix bolt with ecb spec, first use snap shot/rapid fire/grico anda then spam d bows, i got 3 tries, dificult but possible

That's the whole point, Its about time they locked pvm gear behind skilled / people who dedicate time and effort into learning bosses instead of people who buy rsgp and buy everything
You can TANK those 3 dudes on the wave 15 challenge with the Elysian/Arcane/Divine Spirit Shields, Obsidian Armour and the Reflect Ability. Primal Feast heals 2500 x 4 for 10k or, I found Great Gunkan to be good too (heals 1500 + 1500 over time). Using Purple Sweets helps too (stackable heals for 200hp each), healing in the safe spots when no one is attacking. Also, for those that struggle with DPS, you really need to take down those tentacles at Har-Aken.
I saw someone with armadyl and off hand chaotic crossbow got the range cape. He also have t70 magic tank armour and virtus book with seismic wand and got the magic cape. I think this is doable with low tier equipment

Just seeing what this content is was enough to give me a headache. I can see now why the cape you get for it is so overpowered, considering what you have to do to get it, and there's even a hard mode version of all this? Jesus. I'd probably at least try it if it weren't for the mechanic requiring thresholds to do proper damage on some enemies. Necromancy doesn't have any real thresholds, so I don't know if there are even any abilities for it that would work there. Edit: I got recommended your more recent video that does show Necromancy use here and confirms which abilities work as thresholds, so I guess I will try this sometime, once I can comfortably afford the cost of supplies.
Any tips for the minions? I’m always left with in alive before I’m insta killed. I use sirenic with obsidian helm. Etc and ruby bacs, I though ab switching to diamond bacs since they pierce armour would that be better?
the blue lightning pillar is the damaging proc from the scripture of wen, it's definitely a worthwhile pocket slot upgrade that does more damage than the illuminated armadyl book and for a fraction of the hourly cost since the manuscripts for wen are much more common and cheaper, not to mention the base stats outside of the proc are also better.

@@ProtoxxGaming Personally, That's close to the point of going too far, where they went too far is Zuk himself, A solo boss that is lvl 14k? And one that is originally from OSRS? Personally, I think facing the Wildy bosses one after the other would be easier, even though Kallisto is a tank and a half and is easiest with a safespot trap.

I gave up a flawless run after getting sent to oblivion over and over by the first exploding mob after the DPS check at Zuk... I can no food until then, but I can't kill them fast enough.
@@ProtoxxGaming my main style is melee and I use it to berserk Zuk and do the 50k damage... I am switching to Attuned Crystal Bow for everything else I can't melee (like Jad and safespotting,). I guess I need to buy ascensions to improve my DPS at these DPS challenges. Full gear rundown: Noxious scythe (P6E4) Attuned Crystal bow (P6E4) Full obsidian armor Max cape (invention, ranged and defence cape perks) Amulet of Souls (OR) Tirannwn Quiver 3 Scripture of Jas Switches: Augmented Drygore Sword (P6) Augmented Corrupted Defender (E4) - I could try ditching the obsidian armor and just use Pernyx with nightmare gauntlets and fleeting boots, maybe I can do it even with my t80 bow, who knows. Edit: Just tried it, still had two minions left.

@@ProtoxxGaming Thank you. Weird question. I've watched your videos on Nex along with others and I'm still struggling with the blood phase. I just simply can't throw down enough dps. I stop attacking every time she says a siphon will solve this and Immediately start attacking when her wings drop. The problem Is she always heals back up to 200k hp. Is their a fc or something that would allow me to watch someone killing Nex? I'm not trying to take the loot or anything. I just want to physically watch someone do the blood phase so I can maybe get a better understanding of how It works.
@@XxJustinxx88 are you using bleeds? Bleeds heal her during blood phase. Take blood phase slow till you get the hang of it. Kill reavers before siphon, surge away with blood sacrifice, no bleeds.

Nice tips apart from the triple jad one, I don't see why you would do the triple jad wave anywhere else.

For wave 15: if you don't have the turtling perk, you can easily reso the first hit and then barricade afterwards.
How do you get adren back after using reso to then use barricade immediately?

Regular barricade lasts long enough, you just need to activate it right before the first attack is about to hit you, not as soon as it comes out.

What I do to the DPS phase of Zuk is Anticipate, pray magic, walk to the center below Zuk then walk left. The minions always spawn at your upper left.

When you show Zuks mechanics can you slow down please? Like record in slow motion so we can see what you do.
You can also barge during the fire pizza mechanic onto the minion I find that easiest way to get over there.

Seismic wand is not low tier and animate dead makes lower tier mage armor act high tier...

you can soul split on zuk after every wawe...just leave one minion and get full hp with soulsplit on zuk

I’m bis range and I’ve been struggling so hard to get a zuk kill. I can literally kill almost everything else
Just seeing what this content is was enough to give me a headache. I can see now why the cape you get for it is so overpowered, considering what you have to do to get it, and there's even a hard mode version of all this? Jesus.
I'd probably at least try it if it weren't for the mechanic requiring thresholds to do proper damage on some enemies. Necromancy doesn't have any real thresholds, so I don't know if there are even any abilities for it that would work there.
Edit: I got recommended your more recent video that does show Necromancy use here and confirms which abilities work as thresholds, so I guess I will try this sometime, once I can comfortably afford the cost of supplies.
Any tips for the minions? I’m always left with in alive before I’m insta killed. I use sirenic with obsidian helm. Etc and ruby bacs, I though ab switching to diamond bacs since they pierce armour would that be better?

This may be a silly question, but what is the blue beam that i see damaging things in your videos? Is it some sort of bolts proc, or ability?
the blue lightning pillar is the damaging proc from the scripture of wen, it's definitely a worthwhile pocket slot upgrade that does more damage than the illuminated armadyl book and for a fraction of the hourly cost since the manuscripts for wen are much more common and cheaper, not to mention the base stats outside of the proc are also better.

Im playing with a wyvern cbow (99 ranged) and full pernix if that helps.
Bleeds > Snapshot > Rapid fire > Tendrils might just cut it
Consider upgrading to sirenic as it's actually cheaper and better than pernix :)

@@ProtoxxGaming Personally, That's close to the point of going too far, where they went too far is Zuk himself, A solo boss that is lvl 14k? And one that is originally from OSRS? Personally, I think facing the Wildy bosses one after the other would be easier, even though Kallisto is a tank and a half and is easiest with a safespot trap.

I can no food until then, but I can't kill them fast enough.

@@ProtoxxGaming my main style is melee and I use it to berserk Zuk and do the 50k damage... I am switching to Attuned Crystal Bow for everything else I can't melee (like Jad and safespotting,). I guess I need to buy ascensions to improve my DPS at these DPS challenges.

I could try ditching the obsidian armor and just use Pernyx with nightmare gauntlets and fleeting boots, maybe I can do it even with my t80 bow, who knows.

@@thaedleinad the dps check in wave 5 is hard even if u do have ascenions. I feel like an essence of finality with the darkbow spec and the corruption shot ability carry hard.
Btw u dont need a flawless run for the capes, just powerburst of vitality and tank the golem hits maybe? Flawless is only useful if u wanna try hardmode

Nope. No teleports allowed. They count as dying

@@ProtoxxGaming Thank you. Weird question. I've watched your videos on Nex along with others and I'm still struggling with the blood phase. I just simply can't throw down enough dps. I stop attacking every time she says a siphon will solve this and Immediately start attacking when her wings drop. The problem Is she always heals back up to 200k hp. Is their a fc or something that would allow me to watch someone killing Nex? I'm not trying to take the loot or anything. I just want to physically watch someone do the blood phase so I can maybe get a better understanding of how It works.
@@XxJustinxx88 are you using bleeds? Bleeds heal her during blood phase. Take blood phase slow till you get the hang of it. Kill reavers before siphon, surge away with blood sacrifice, no bleeds.

flawless to unlock hardmode. just dont die or bank to get kiln cape upgrades

IM melee and ive beat it 4 times but keep dying on the first special wave 5 for some reason i couldnt even barricade it, was thinking about disruption shield but pretty sure i res, the first time i was in there. or maybe i just signed every time on that one and didnt even know it
Resonance the first hit>then barricade. Your barricade is probably running out of time (check ur debuff bar)
no one can get a flawless frog kill tho. no possibile froggo too powerful you can't even land a kill on Frog tok tox. not possible.
