Fun fact about "Powerful Abilities," when dealing with the Igneous ranger: Any of your abilities that would normally consume adrenaline work to break their invulnerability. If you don't have Necrosis stacks, Soul Scythe and Bloat also work!
Now that I've recovered a bit from the pure adrenaline from getting this done, thank you for making this guide. I sincerely thought I'd never be able to do this, now I feel like I'm half decent finally. Now I can farm out my Ezk and have this goofy ass smile every time I look at it when I open my bank.
Ryan thank you so much. I never really comment on vids or anything but this is the single handed most useful zuk video ever made for RS3. I was struggling before Necro released, I tried all 3 styles. Was literally googling everyday for a HM Zuk guide with necro. You sir, are a legend.
Bro. Thank Zaros for this video. I didn't follow the guide exactly, but you gave me the base to get it done. First kill I died at the spire, but it allowed me to practice it for a few minutes. Next run I got flawless and my cape! Thank you
this guide is so good, i've just finished my hard mode cape by following it, it makes you so tanky that most mechanics are trivial. btw my kill time was 36 minutes, so if you delay the Aegis aura by 6 minutes before activating it you can do the most dangerous bits of the fight with it.
just got zuk cape, your guide is useful as always!! used a blood reaver instead of hellhound, feels like it synergizes abit better with poison and alot more healing in case anyone wants to try it abit differently, thx ryan!
A quick tip if your ghost gets stuck: equip your excal. This un-equips your lantern, which causes all conjures to disappear. Then, re-equip the lantern, and revo will re-summon them. This is also a useful way to start waves with fresh summons if you aren’t being targeted, since you can de-summon and re-summon at 0 adren.
I just tried this, and instead my skills bugged out and I lost my run because I had to restart game to fix bug. Conjure Skeleton became stuck as Command Skeleton even when I had no conjures out and was out of combat. Could no longer conjure my skeleton and even Revolution bar broke because it just kept trying to command a nonexistant skeleton over and over.
Would've done this the day this video dropped if I had the time but did it eventually, this was an absolutely amazing guide and I did it faster than I did with normal mode! Got it in 2 attempts (first failed 3rd challenge by accidentally phasing with no adrenaline for barricade), and I didn't use any food during the Zuk fight itself even though I did pizza phase like 5 times because I forgot when he phased so I was holding adrenaline lol, but the last part was an absolute cakewalk so I didn't even need to do that. Only thing I would mention is Desert Pantheon aura is not buyable only and if you've done enough Shifting Tombs you may happen to have enough fragments to make it (I got it while hunting the Sandy title), so it's perfectly viable to go for. Besides that, this guide and the normal mode guide were absolutely amazing! Thank you for helping me learn this fight wasn't as scary as I always thought!
It took me a couple tries but I managed to complete a flawless HM run thanks to your guide! Honestly, I don't think I could have done it without! :D TY
Love the guide, thank you! Not sure if anyone else feels this but I copy the setup exactly and I either just don't have the damage output or I seem to take way more damage than I see you taking.
got it after like 5 or 6 attempts with this set up thank you. had to clutch up hard on zuk, I ran out of food at like 400k hp lol, but once I got to the end I knew I was good just calmed down and took it super slow , never did hard mode before this
You can also use bloat to make the igneous ranger vulnerable for only 20% adren if you dont have the necrosis stacks/adren for finger of death and your panicking.
Thanks so much for the guide, was able to get it done after 4 attempts due to failed challenges. Particularly the 2nd one. First time I cleared that I managed to get it done, got those Zuk fingers on spire, still shaking!
So when I watched this video back when it first came out, I was like: "... Alrighty perhaps I will give it a shot one day after I make some upgrades.". I'm legally blind, so I play with my screen zoomed in, and don't particularly do well with time-limits or intense movement. But I told myself that if I were to ever successfully complete a Flawless Hard Mode Tzkal-Zuk run, I'd come back to this video and post a comment. So here I am today posting that comment.
Finally got my hybrid cape today! I had the basic idea, just struggled with taking too much damage but following your set up I got it and I'm happy. Thank you so much!
Thanks brother i got my hybrid zuk cape because of this although i opted to keep ghost out of my revo bar right before the 3rd challenge and kept it off after that. Did my own things with the bar like adding bloat etc using my blessed flask but the gear you recommended was the key tbh its so good im so happy i got my cape posted it on pvme achievements :D

You're a boss. Knew this had to be coming :D. My first normal mode kill I got a tempest codex. I did fail the run, but second and third try, I got me a couple capes. MVP my man, MVP!
For those of you who are having trouble doing enough dmg during the special waves you can kill every enemy except for the small melee'r and you can get him stuck behind the other side of the walls near the entrance and then you can set up on zuk only having to worry about the flame wall, you can sit their building all stacks and even re-summon your conjurers for free
got it 2nd try, thanks so umch for the help. I did zuk 1 year ago on range and it was so rough, figured id try get all normal capes again with necro and it went so smooth figured why not try hm. First run i was so close to flawless but the 2nd challenge wave i was tiny bit from killing him

something i found helpful in between waves in normal mode was using the persistent rage relic, then clicking my hp icon to regenerate all my hp. This can be done without starting a new wave while trapping any last mob behind a rock.
@@TheRSGuyI think they mean by using the adrenaline out of combat relic to get free heals when a mob is trapped, very slow but I can see the use if you struggle that much

Couldn't kill zuk in normal mode without 1 death with t90 power gear , then watched your guide and with your action bar managed to get 15 kills, still with some deaths during waves, but i still finished waves just to train. Got 15 kills and 4 out of them were 0 death.. First kill was on day 5 of training. Then i started killing hard mode and that was the hardest challenge i've faced because for 5 straight days training - around 2-4hours of killing i couldn't get past wave 9/11/12 to even reach 3rd challenge wave. I just either died before wave 9 of monster overwhelming or damage that could not be outhealed by my dps. To fix that i really copied your setup and swapped out my power gear and changed it to 3/5 tank t90 necro gear and charged obsidian boots, and after doing so it took me two days to kill. At first day i got to waves 11+ but still couldn't quite reach zuk, then on last training day i got to zuk himself for the first time after 1 try and killed zuk in hard mode flawlessly without any problems. Speaking overall i took alot of beating and 10 days of zuk got me endless defeats, 96-101 necromancy level and 150mil chest to loot which i'm not mad, but i ain't the best pvmer either, your guides helped me alot with positioning, with action bar and general tips which i'm thankful for, but at the end it is all based on how able you are yourself to execute given tips and tricks which took me a while to get.. P.S. Necromancy sure did bring me much more into bossing that i would ever have to or want to dive in, also Thok's Smashing Buffs event was a HUGE help during my training, i couldn't do this otherwise without all the endless vampyrism aura and 1h overload buff..
One additional thing that I've recommended to a friend is with bone shield up anytime you get nervous about the amount of damage you are taking you can just use reflect pretty much whenever
This is probably an odd question, but could you help me understand why your damage is so high? I used your normal mode guide for my first zuk cape (thanks so much by the way, love the way you structure your guides) and i did it in t90 power armor, but still did way less damage than you do. Where you get finger of death crits in the 14k range mine crit closer to 9k. My necromancy is 101, i use elder overloads and sorrow. Is the difference just 120 necro vs 101? Do invention perks make the difference perhaps? Thanks so much for the guides, looking forward to getting my first hard mode clear soon!
I no food normal thanks to your previous necro normal mode guide and honestly, this seems easy enough, especially if I bother actually casting threads of fate and stacks during waves.
@@TheRSGuy Just had to wait for my barricade dinos to grow and I did it! Took 4 attempts, the hardest part for me were the igneous waves. Pathing screwed my position up a lot, and on the follow up waves I didnt have enough stacks to one shot the igneous meeler. Once I hit triple Jads, it was smooth and no food from there.
I'm still struggling dealing with normal zuk to get my last igneous cape (meele), but for sure will try this as soon i can! Even dying to zuk is fun anyway (and not a bankrupt)
PSA: For the second challenge remember to not waste necrosis stacks by using finger of death on zuk, the deathguard special attack also uses them to deal A LOT of damage. (Goes from around 450% ability damage at 0 stacks to around 900% ability damage at 12 stacks) I failed the challenge twice before realizing this.
The beauty of necro is that we can use so much to deal with stuff, I didn't have necrosis stacks and just did Volley of Souls + DeathGuard. Pretty sure even just using Bloat/Guardspec/SoulStrike would be enough too Just a really forgiving skill with 3 sources of damage boosts hell u could even explode your zombie on that dude
@@Brian_Gonzales I imagine being over level 100 helps a lot, I did it at level 95 and realized my Volley of souls couldn't go through its defence at all (Since its level 100 defence necro deals less damage cause accuracy). Had to do an entire living death rotation to bring it down.

fantastic guide! This helped me a lot! I don't have the zuk cape yet, but with your previous guide I was able to get all 4 igneous stones already :D I just have a question about the life points. I only get 14682 life points when copying your setup. 9,900 base + 3600 (tank armour: hood, chest, legs) + 200 reaper crew buff + 685 (bonfire boost: +5% of all of the above) + 297 (thermal bath +3 per constitution level) = 14,682 how are you getting the extra 735 life points? Are you using the fortitude prayer? Or font of life relic power? Or did you eat rocktail soup? Thanks! :-)
I've actually had the spire at the end triple death mark with a 3 stacked volley before... I'm wondering if you could potentially just instantly kill the whole spire with a 5 stacked volley lol
One thing i noticed was you didnt go over Relics, mind letting us in on your relic set up? I was thinking you were using death ward for more dmg reduction but i just wanna be sure for when I try :D
Thank you very much for the guide! After all these years, I finally got the hard mode cape. Necromancy simplifies the encounter a lot! Omg its here.... LETS GOOOOO. Thank you legend!
This is a GREAT guide Now i Just need to make time to try this run... well i still need to get the gear as well
Worked perfectly and I got my cape :) thank you
Bloat also works for the ingenuous rangers if you dont have necrotic stacks, cheaper adre wise
So stoked to go get the zuk cape!
gl!
40:20 Devs: “This phase can’t be too easy so we need something that hits hard so it’s extremely detrimental if you don’t deal with it properly, if not outright kill you”
RSGuy: “I’m going to face tank it lol”
skill issue
I was listening to this while doing my nm zuk kill. The brew thing reseting my max hp came up exacly when I needed it
fantastic guide! This helped me a lot! I don't have the zuk cape yet, but with your previous guide I was able to get all 4 igneous stones already :D
I just have a question about the life points. I only get 14682 life points when copying your setup.
9,900 base
+ 3600 (tank armour: hood, chest, legs)
+ 200 reaper crew buff
+ 685 (bonfire boost: +5% of all of the above)
+ 297 (thermal bath +3 per constitution level)
= 14,682
how are you getting the extra 735 life points? Are you using the fortitude prayer? Or font of life relic power? Or did you eat rocktail soup?
Thanks! :-)
Thank you for existing and making runescape content funny head dent man i hope your cat never unplugs your modem while you are on your hc
Damn this is the goat guide right there!
really nice video, thank you for the great work you do for the community
This is like one of those "easy" recipes that begins with chopping vegetables for 15 minutes.
Wow great guide! What are the drop rates for full run vs using check points?
I've actually had the spire at the end triple death mark with a 3 stacked volley before... I'm wondering if you could potentially just instantly kill the whole spire with a 5 stacked volley lol
5 stack volley while caded? sounds like fun!
Thanks for the guide Ryan! But how you get your insence stick to 59mins? I only can overload it to 10mins.
nice guide, got my cape today
Thank you Brother, got it done thanks to you.
what is that hour long potion timer next to the penance powder buff?
Do you have any perks on your tank gear? Also, what arch relics are you using?
One thing i noticed was you didnt go over Relics, mind letting us in on your relic set up? I was thinking you were using death ward for more dmg reduction but i just wanna be sure for when I try :D
RSGUY - I dont think you went into weapon / armour perks in the beginning for gear setup
I did it! Ty this guide really helped a lot
Got my Zuk cape thx to this and pvm event :D
god i love you!! rakshaaa guide next for nubs like meeeee
Thank you very much for the guide! After all these years, I finally got the hard mode cape. Necromancy simplifies the encounter a lot! While following your guide, I had a failed attempt and then a flawless run. In just those two kills, I got a Scripture of Full and an Ancient Hilt. It seems like Zuk is really profitable!
mate, thanks alot for this guide. but I am still struggling, I am using the exact same gear and inventory (aura, and all buffs same) but I am still getting owned at times, got at p18 but failed to click on the second pizza time. :( Any idea why I am getting wrecked like that ? love from a fan :)
the igneous mage wrecks me on the special waves every time I can't do enough dps
This is a good guide but what are the inv perks he is running? I’m aiming at the hm flawless but ain’t sure I got enough damage without perks
hey! RS guy , i wasnt able to find any raksha guide with necromancy . would love if you could make one . thanks :D
Be pretty cool if this worked for me. I cant seem to get anything done on HM Zuk and about to just completely give up.
Could you teach a low APM Nex solo with necromancy please? Not a pvmer and my kills are so messy 😅
can you do a necro raksha learner guide? or a hm kera necro learner guide? pls
Would using obsidian helm be better to use than boots for the damage reduction?
