  • So i seen alot of people wonder about the Mobile-Drive boosters like SureCall, Weboost, Hiboost, etc boosters for cellphones or hotspots. Wanting to know if these portable boosters could be used as a Stationary Booster like it's bigger brothers. But without the insane hassle to mount a huge directional or Omi-directional antenna to their roof. Why not just use a simple magnetic system and stick it up.
Answer is. Yes. You can. Will you get great coverage as the bigger ones? Not likely since most of these are limited to 23 (Surecall N-Range 2.0 and Weboost Drive Sleek.) DB. And others maybe at 50db. But for a lower cost and portable if you wanna take it with you and not leave it permenetly mounted. This is a great option ability.
Just one big note. Make sure if you're using like the Boosters with a middle booster part like the Drive Sleek or any of the other ones with a main booster piece that breaks the antenna that normally goes inside a car. Make sure you have enough cable to lead outside and MOUNT it up where the rain cannot get the booster component. As in my video i have it hidding up on the corner of the roof ledge. These middle pieces aren't waterproof/resistant (Their supposed to be inside the car when used.). But as for the Outside antenna. You don't need to worry. They are designed to be left outside so their weatherproofed.
And Another thing is. Make sure you resister your booster WITH your cell provider. Or with any other provider that your family uses. Because if they sense you're using a booster. They might turn the boosters performance increase upside-down and will likely throttle the phone performance down. If you need a link to all 5 carriers to resister your booster. Here is the link. Weboost provides for all providers. support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/... (Though be aware each company has their own methods of signing the papers on the websites and these. Like Verizon. Will require you to log into your MY-Verizon app to complete the booster signup.)
Also use the Weboost link to ATT's sign up and not use the google search or etc link normally. Somehow the normal method of going to ATT's version doesn't complete. But going from Weboosts link works. I had trouble at first trying to get my booster signed up like 20times. Then i used the Weboost link and it worked on the first go.
