- A storyboard produced early in production of the film. In this version Victor wanders back into the Land of the Dead pub full of despair as he believes himself to be dead. But after the Corpse Bride convinces him he is still alive Victor quickly forms a ruse to get back to the land of the living. Victor's dog was called Boots in the script , to be renamed as scraps later.
The storyboard was created on paper in 2005 but has been beefed up in 2021 with some digital tone work and a little atmosphere SFX. No audio dialogue.

@@WolfGamingClipd Even though they might look alike, they are not the same person. Just look the time period they were, and their parents look and act so different. While Victor’s here are unsufferable, the kid ones are very supportive.
So, chronologically, they can’t be the same person. Maybe Victor is an ancestor of the kid. Maybe. Besides, Tim Burton usually design his male main characters with those characteristics: shy, kind, smart, very thin, with angles, short black hair, socially awkward, white pale skin.
Maybe they are a reflection of him, I guess.

A lot of fan theories about Vincent growing up to be Victor, but no, that is NOT official canon; Frankenweenie was not created as a prequel for Corpse Bride..

Nope! It’s not weird at all! Tbh I kinda wish the film was 2D animated,while having the film be drawn in the storyboard artists’ style,as it has a traditional 2D animation vibe/ feel to it. The artwork is also really well done!
Sidenote: I agree that there should be a 2D animated version of film,along with voice acting,sound effects,etc.

Emily: *grabs the dart that was stuck to one guy and pricks Victor’s hand with it*
Victor: Ow, that hurt! That… hurt. *stares at Emily* do it again.

This is really well made; Even when there's one frame for a longer moment it still feels like motion
Well these were really needed in the movie! i love LOVE corpse bride, but even i (a DIE heart fan lol) can not say its perfect, Victor is kimda heartless/kinda without a personality. This would have given him a Rango + Mad Hatter vibe i feel. ❤

Holy shit, this is fricking awesome. Did not expect to see this whatsoever.
I now realize that Victor was much more self-confident and stereotypically humorous in the original script which would have perhaps made his intentions less ambiguous in the final cut of the film and it would have been much more devisive for the audience as they would have immediately seen him as a minor antagonist in Emily's arc. I believe that the final film made Victor far more morally complex and grey and I think that that would be what gives the film such an appeal. Making him occasionally more self-aware than Emily or vice versa was indeed the right move and making Emily more initially consumed by her mission to find someone who could liberate her from her pain made the film richer and more psychologically engaging and it also made the conclusion of the character journeys much more satisfying and cathardic to watch. Victor and Emily were always intended to be platonic soulmates and in the orginal script you almost immediately empathize with Victor instead of empathizing with both.

Hi, I was a story artist on Corpse Bride and all the other films featured on this channel. I put the animatic together from my boards drawn in 2005. So you won't see this on any Dvd. Hope you enjoyed it. Check out the Frankenweenie boards on the channel too.
@@studioredrobin6865Do you know why these scenes never made it onto the film? The movie was great I just felt it could’ve been longer. These scenes would have been nice.
It’s all part of the storyboarding process . There are times though when a scene I have boarded is changed or cut altogether and it doesn’t make sense to me why that decision has been made. It’s always the director’s choice ( or the editor or producer depending on who is really in charge!)
