In some way this was left in the film as it was never explained how Emily knew victor’s name and his dog. But canonically she had to have known before they even met so the only way it makes sense is that she saw him whenever he visited the woods while she was buried before victor released her.
This was an excellent way to introduce conflict in an early draft of what seemed like a true misunderstanding and that while Emily is trying to help Victor make the best of his situation, she at least empathizes with him. The final version is still an amazing thing since while it was a misunderstanding, Emily needed to come to the conclusion of taking a bride's dream away from them on her own
One thing I wish they had left in the movie was Emily telling him how she used to watch him, it would explain how she already knew his name and how she knew scraps belonged to him. I think it would also show that she felt connected to him rather than just desperate to get married
Exactly. That perhaps she idealized Victor because she was able to see so much of herself reflected in him and that she was able to connect with him by realizing that she had once felt like him, a lonely, hopelessly romatic, passionate and free-spirited artist trapped by the responsability of acceding into a marriage of convenience which was something that she so desperately sought to avoid by marrying Barkis which unfortunately ended in immense tragedy.
This could've explained why Emily knew victors name and that he even had a dog Because in the movie all she said was that she had a gift for him and "I knew you were gonna be glad to see him" and that always left me confused. This animatic actually explains it
For those who find it strange that Emily is "obsessed" with Victor and even knows his name and his dog, I have something to say... Emily was betrayed by Barkis and because she thought he was kind and good, in the end he turned out to be a miser playing with her feelings, she realized that she won't tell a guy she loves him until she knows every detail about him, his name, surname, things he likes and hobbies, and above all himself and his personality, in order to ensure that she will not be hurt again. It makes me SO sad and makes me love her more.😭😭😭
This would've been sweet to watch and make Emily seem more as if she knew Victor before they met and prob already knew Scraps was his if he buried him in the woods
I really wish we can get a prequel to this movie why did Lord Barkis Bitten decide to take the money from Emily before he actually kills her that we need to see the story to explain how he decided to take the money from Emily.
I agree! Tbh the man who made this storyboard (Dean Roberts) did a great job! I really like the artwork. Tbh it makes me wonder what would’ve happened if The Corpse Bride was a traditional 2D animated film, and having it be drawn in the style of the storyboard artists’ style,as it has a traditional 2D animation look/feel to it. ESPECIALLY the way the facial expressions and the body movements/body language is drawn(which I really like as it well drawn). It kinda makes me wish that the film was 2D animation.
@@محمدمهدی-ض7ل8ع How likely do you think it is that Victor would've married Victoria when 1) he found out Emily loved him, 2) he doesn't know whether or not he actually loves Victoria, and 3) he and Emily are in a situation where Victor can't feel like he needs to leave Emily for their own good and where Victor feels more loved in the Land of the Dead?
@@hell5309 i don't know man But anyway she was dead (yes i know Emily says here : love) but do you think its could be possible? Victor was her true love but something made a decision between them , death! It's not like Disney's fairy tales that she would get another chance by ner truly love kissing
@@محمدمهدی-ض7ل8ع The thing is, in the final cut Emily didn't know about Victoria until Victor tricked her into going up to the Land of the Living under the pretense of meeting his parents. In this case, if they went up there, it would be because Emily wanted Victor to make a meaningful choice between her and Victoria, meaning that Victor would've had a chance to see both women as they are, instead of just largely feeling sorry for Emily (or like he needed to escape her). Thus, he'd be more likely to end up with Emily because Victoria wouldn't think he truly loved her, since Victor would have no motive to make that case.
Oh man it actually was much better than the what we got in animtion i guss it was better if we knew that Emily has know him for a while even he didn't know And the music its still so sad and.........well its ok 🔥👍
I have a couple more that I will put up on the channel at some point but it may be a while. More recent animatics will be posted first. More Under the boardwalk. And 'Transformer One' work when the movie is released next year. Thanks for watching.
Damn! It's awesome, u did Emily so beautiful. Pls, do more storyboards, and pay attention to Emily's face, draw details to highlight her beauty. It will be worth donate

Actually I like the idea of Victor being stalked by dead Emily 😅 it makes more sense why she chose him
If it was in the movie he would have fallen in love with her even if she was dead
It is a bit creepy
She didn't choose him. She accepted his "marriage proposal".

It would be awesome if you could do more of these for Corpse Bride.

Ya know, if they'd kept this in there, the movie would've ended very differently....
How?

@@hell5309 you are right but its would made a weird ending for this movie
Oh my god I love this!!!! I hope there's more you can post of this movie!
This should have been in the movie... It would have made us cry harder.
if there ever was a live action adaptation of Corpse Bride, they need to have a scene like this in the movie.
In one of the photos Victor's got stubble
