Daeodons Can all be set to passive healing, which will in fact, heal each other automatically, albeit not constantly. Would love to see Daeodons as well!
Wow, I knew that bears could take the megapithecus and beta brood, but I always thought the low health of bears kept them from being full fledged boss fighters. But 26 mutations is not bad at all, and if they can do this with 22.5k health then I have to make a bear army. Thanks, Boomsmith!
Dire bears protect you from cold and hot weather when you riding it that make him a perfect cave explorer with his dmg and speed , its a perfect tames that somebody noob enough to understimate him
The bears against the dragon tactic is the same as when we used to do in ASE using Deinonychus just without the bleed damage, they are so small too that the dragon almost can't hit them and most of the time just get stuck in the middle of the deinonychus pack until it flies or dies xD
Love this, again! Thanks much! I know bears, being mammals, are much harder to breed - but using a mod to auto-trap the babies when they are born, it makes this slightly easier. I would almost say it brings it to an equal level with the egg layers at that point. You can mouse over each baby inside the terminal and then delete all that aren't needed.
I use SCS - Super Cryo Storage on Ascended. It auto traps my bears and I can see the babies in the terminal. There is no sort (yet?), but you can delete the ones you don't need. @@Boomsmith

@Rapture9999 I think with 10-12k hp for brood and megapithicus because of the minion spawns, and rest melee they're pack buff scales higher to +6 if I remember correctly and puts their damage a little higher than a rex. What I do fear is they wouldn't stop dragons walking similar to the carnos, but dragon probably can't hit them much similar to the dire bears.
Question, is this 500k mutations to hit the 23k hp and 1.2k Melee stat? I always loved the dire bears - and yes they are very underused. However, if it takes 500k mutations to make them semi viable on alpha - that sucks.
Love it! I’m breeding some direbears currently. I have them lined up with a doorway at one end of the breeding line. I use another bear to start killing the useless cub near the doorway while it’s still hanging out of his mother’s ass. Then the rest of the useless cubs run towards the door right into the mouth of death. Just claim the ones with a mutation.
Its basicaly just a rectangle, no roof, and a doorway at one end of one of the long walls. Walls made of stone dino gates, stone walls, and v shaped stone railings. Dire bears lined up inside along the long wall. In ASE the babies seems to run around like headless chickens when you attack one of them, but in ASA they all seem to run for the door to escape. When they birth the cubs, I check the levels and if they're all crap i just attack the cub by the door and block the door whille taking out all the rest. @@Boomsmith
Wooly rhino is commonly used but I guess that's primarily when they're ridden so I'll look at putting them on the list, I'm curious how that would work with no riders.
That is a new strategy for the alpha dragon! Did the bears take the same fire damage as rexes or do they take reduced fire damage like theris? I’m guessing since they died so quick to the fire and don’t heal from veggie cakes that they take regular fire damage?

When you run the bosses on your own server are you increasing the difficulty level to 3 to simulate official ?
Official is difficulty 5x but yes I use official settings

All tames in the series start with a 50 health and 50 melee base
