  • A property owner in Auburn has filed a $50,000 claim for damages against King County, saying two of its sub-contractors illegally dumped tree stumps and other debris on his land along West Valley Highway.
Peter Yagi said the massive stumps showed up around the same time that land started to be cleared to make way for the South King County Recycling and Transfer Station, which is about a mile down the road in Algona.
The city of Auburn has posted a code violation notice at the site demanding that the tree stumps and other debris be cleared or Yagi will be fined $500 initially and then $100 for every day he remains out of compliance. However, Yagi said he has nothing to do with debris and blames King County’s two sub-contractors, Lydig Construction based out of Spokane Valley, and KLB Construction in the Lynnwood area.

I got the guy that broke my car window on ring moments after my alarm went off, but the car was not in view of the camera. The footage doesn't prove he did it, it proves he was there. The contractor knows the land owner can't prove it without a witness. That's why they did it. It saved them loads on disposal.

IT would take deep pockets and time BUT it can be proven where the trees were rooted before being logged and the stumps moved. IN addition the documentation images of the site work might also help[.

Sadly it appears we all need ring cameras on perimeters of property like this also.
Do they now have to take tyre prints and match them to the construction vehicles???

I drive by this construction site a couple of times a week. Those tree roots 99.9% came from that construction site.
You should see all the boulders they dumped on the opposite side of the road also....though the boulders could possibly be on city or state property.
