Why no windfall tax on the Supermarkets who have raked it in since the pandemic and cost of living crisis?
Why no return of the bankers bonus cap?
Without the bankers' bonus cap everyone's savings are at risk- not just the pensioners.
Reeves with a grin on her face , you make sure you keep the migrants in warm homes and hotels whilst our pensioners freeze and starve to death this winter 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
No pensioners should freeze and starve to death this winter under her plans, anyone in that situation would be entitled to life saving benefits which are budgeted for.
She’s also talking about getting asylum seekers processed and out of hotels
@@Charlzton Yeh , all talk , where they going to live then Einstein, we can’t even home our own veterans
@@daffyddduck2419 we don’t have a lack of housing in this country at all. There are empty houses and flats everywhere- the problem isn’t asylum seekers, it’s the wealthy and powerful telling you to blame foreigners while they hoard living space

I dont understand how two different parties can disagree on something that should be true or false.
Because the tories are liars and you very rarely agree with liars
They are BOTH liars. Remember Blair.

@@hedgewytch88 how much has supporting Ukraine cost us ? We can’t afford that but we still do it. Ukraine should have negotiated a settlement a long time ago.
So those that moaned that Labour spent our money where are you?
Pretty sure it was everyone, now we're all moaning about Tories spending all our money.👍
Gordon Brown left the country broke , made even worse by selling the gold reserves at the very lowest market rate . Perhaps you’re not old enough to remember.
@@user-fz8ep5ey4v Are you old enough to remember the banking laws that Gordon Brown wanted to bring in but the Tories helped vote down that would of protected UK banks from the hit they took because American banks were selling dodgy mortages?
@@user-fz8ep5ey4v rishi also left the country broke
They shower funds on the idle. That never changes. Ever.
Another ex Bank of England employee, Rachel Reeves.
If only the British Government had had an opposition to stop it wasting money.
Oh wait......
Those pensioners paying higher rate tax would’ve been a fairer cutoff point for winter fuel allwce than those not entitled to benefits. She’s punished people on a£15k pension income.
The sum is actually £12,018. A pensioner would think they were loaded, if they actually had £15k.

Count how many times she said previous government absolutely shocking
Rachel is doing a great job. Excellent levels of competence and shows how catastrophic the Tories have been for the UK over 14 years. They shouldn't be allowed anywhere near government
@@craigwilson3711 she relies on Google 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Second, the unfunded liabilities that Labour will have to meet justify a reconsideration of Reeves’s fiscal rule that the government debt to GDP ratio must be falling in five years. By accepting this arbitrary rule in opposition, she effectively adopted the Conservative macroeconomic worldview: that growth can be achieved alongside fiscal conservatism. But this approach comes with significant risks; a failure to borrow prudently to invest consigns the UK to sluggish growth for at least another decade.
The only thing that's shocking is that anyone believes anything that the BBC or corporate media spews out after ALL INDEPENDENT (far Left or far Right) MEDIA PREDICTED that Labour would lie their way into Downing Street on the false premise of the fiscal situation being manageable with no tax rises or service cuts then pretending that they hadn't seen all the publicly available records showing that to be complete rubbish. Queue the faux shock and anger, the obligatory service cuts to the most vulnerable, minor rises for the richest people who won't even notice and of coarse service cuts for everyone else. Wash, rinse and repeat.
The system works.
Yep, a fantastic job waging war on pensioners and those with children.
She's ex Bank of England, she wasn't voted in.
All the controversy about pensioners is a distraction because meanwhile, nothing is being about bankers' bonuses. The cap on bankers' bonuses has not been replaced, which puts everyone's savings at risk, not just pensioners' savings. Remember Northern Rock? And no one is demanding that MPs are means tested for their winter fuel payments for their second homes, I wonder why that is?
Betraying the english pensioner to pay for the great replacement. Sickening
Labour have already gone after pensioners
Why are you not blaming the conservatives that wasted all the money ?
Weren’t Labour the ones who spent all the money before the tories took power?
Wait a few years, then repeat your comment.
@@peterbaker3429 ok they will have STILL wasted all that money

So the conservatives have been massively overspending on public services which are now on the brink due to underspending. Now Labour will end this austerity and massively increase spending. 😮
Lies over 40 new hospitals, 700 billion on Rwanda scheme, levelling up, abandoning the northern part of the HS2, delaying projects on transport and infrastructure, billions wasted by the Tories. That’s only a small fraction of what they have been wasting our taxpayers money on. Need I add more. Just listen to her speech
Overspending but on the brink due to underinvestment, Tories spending is like taking out a provy loan from their best friend, look at the COVID mask situation. You can end austerity by actual thought out spending
ex BofE bank$ter surprises no one who’s been paying a modicum of attention
What is anti social is cutting the winter fuel allowance, heat or eat was Browns message. The new labour message is stuff the old they vote conservative, well now those that survive until the next election won't be voting labour. Many of their sons and daughters will also stop voting Labour. Let's hope many of the back benchers see the light and overturn this decision or cross the house and join reform.
Slam dunk from Rachel Reeves, I'm impressed tbh
Slam dunk. ???? There was a effin global pandemic.
Half a trillion the tories spent on shutting down the economy. Did you not think it all had to be paid back through fiscal spending cuts and tax rises ?

All pensioners with less than c. £16,000 savings in the bank should get the same help as those eligible for Pension Credit. Pension Credit is paid to people who did not work enough years to qualify for the full State Pension. It seems unfair to discriminate against those who did work, who don't have savings above £16,000 (the usual benchmark).
