      I was actually wondering if that type of metal was okay to use for an oven...? Not sure what type of metal it is actually, but I know some commercial products like that give off toxic gases when heated beyond certain temperatures. Does anyone know if this is okay to do? Great idea, just want to be sure it's safe.

    What I liked about the house is how organic it is. How they've married recycled and natural materials with modern materials. The wood stove was genius. The use of the space with the walk ways and how they've considered the child's needs. The whole property is the closest I've seen that reflects what my vision is for my life. Can't thank you enough Bryce for finding these places for us to see :)

      Really taken with the imagination that went into this house (particularly for someone who had not built one before), along with the creative upcycling to continually realize what they needed for both home and farm. I know very little to nothing about most of the things I want in my home, but want to make it myself, bcz I don't want someone else's version of it. His description of what it was like every day, not knowing what he was doing but starting to do it anyway, was very inspirational for me. Thank you!

      There's a lot to like, but I think I would build a bit more strength, insulation and finishes into it. Great to get ideas. BTW what I mean by finishes are, for instance, the stove may work great, but the rough surfaces in a small space would catch on clothes etc. Not hating one bit. I like to learn from others' journey, mistakes and changes they'd have made once they've lived in it a bit. I appreciate it.

The creativity, innovation and pure imagination that has gone into creating this beautiful space is a combined effort of the whole family and it really shows. Thank you Bryce and crew for sharing this story, its my favourite tiny so far! Yesterday I was reading my favourite magazine Earth Garden and they had a story of a young woman who has decided to make a conscious change in her life and lives in a tiny in Bunyip, Victoria. Just like this couple she saw that living in a small space gave her the chance to truly live her life. These are called "Hoovertowns" and indicate a collapsed society - always. These people are living in buttfuck nowhere in one step above a banana box and are STILL struggling financially in addition to their other problems. it's a sign of the times that this is being glorified.

    This one takes first place in my book for aesthetic appeal! It's absolutely delightful, the way he's managed to use unremarkable, utilitarian (and scavenged, no less!! 😁) materials to create such a charming quirkiness! From every angle, this house is just darling!
    It's quite admirable how he figured things out as he went along; perseverance and tenacity like that are something I think the world needs more of.
    I love how they've situated the permaculture garden around the home, as well. To be able to, out of every window, look out over your very own beautiful, abundant garden... It's just dreamy 😍
    What a cool place! I really, really love it!

    Although this tiny house was not in modern built but I fell in love with it and they've a wonderful garden. It is like a village house. Full of harmony and love. I remember my late grandparents village house. It is wonderful. We take open bath from well in the middle of a jungle. The water was so cold and refreshing. This tiny house family is full of love and caring. May God protect and bless them. Thank you so much for showing this video to us dear Bryce & Rasa.

    A charming little home that speaks to the heart of a child within a person of any age. Because he used what was available, he came up with some ingenious solutions that are really cool. The unique stair climb, using free air space for walk ways, custom built oven, Japanese soaking tub, the little girl has a secrete room entrance connecting the cozy nook space to her boat cabin sleeping room. What's even more impressive are all his ecologically friendly & almost self sustaining systems. Totally enjoyed this episode. Don't know how I missed it, just finding it in 2020. The kids are learning important lessons. Cooperation, the value of hard work, sustainable energy. I don't see the usual toys here ; laptops, tvs, tablets, cars, bikes. Not a lot of "merchandise ". If there is a TV I bet it's for communal viewing.
    The main expense seems to be the community land debt, which everyone is working to pay off. This works as long as everyone stays invested.

      Sandra Nelson - Personally i love technology and i can tell by the way you called technology, 'toys' shows you are clearly deluded. It may just be your wording but since when have laptops, tablets, tvs and cars been for children? Also the important lessons you suggested, you can learn anywhere. You don't need to live in a tiny house in the middle of nowhere.

    • @dashie07e.92
      @dashie07e.92 6 років тому +13

      Nigel
      SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? You must be really young bcuz 'toys' are clearly what those items are called to us older more wiser individuals! Just like a man has 'his toys'=boat, motorcycle, golf clubs, trailer blah blah blah. If you don't understand what is being said CLEARLY ASK, don't be rude & assume cuz you know what happens when you do that....right?
      Or should I explain that also?🤔🤔🤔
