At 73 I’m still enjoying The Eagles. Despite the changes and the breakups, you guys still rock! I’m so grateful I’ve lived through the very best time in music! The Eagles, ELO, CCR, The Traveling Wibury’s, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, The Hollie’s, The Animals, The Who, Bob Seger. I could go on and on!

I love reading all of the comments about people who are 50 or older reminiscing their teen years. I am 16 years old and am just discovering The Eagles, of course I’ve heard hotel California but I never really looked into the band until now. Any way I think it’s cool that I’m the same age listening to a song you listened to at 16.

I was absolutely DEVESTATED when I got the news that Glenn Lewis Frey, had ee sick & then, more horrible that he had passed. Glenn Lewis Frey, was, bar none, the most wonderful singer, song writer and all around Great Man & Proformer Ever; The Best Singing Group Ever!! I will miss Glenn, more than I could ever put into words... he was & is the best singer/song writer & there can never ever be anyone who entertained, sang and all around was such a wonderful Man. 😢, ❤ I keep Cindy & the children in my prayers always; can't imagine losing someone so totally awesome. I really don't know how the rest of the group can even still perform without... GLENN LEWIS FREY ❤🎉😢 RIP GLENN, you are missed more than you could ever imagine. There will never, ever be another man/singer/husband/father/and just all around cool & really wonderful man, singer,song writer... person with so much talent & just a really great person. I also love this song as well, but I don't understand why Glenn made Henley "the main vocal person in the band... Glenn's voice was the Best. Been a Eagles fan since I first heard “Take it Easy” or perhaps when the opened for Linda. Just took up the bass at 63 and Timothy B has inspired me.
This is probably one of the prettiest looking music videos I've seen in a while. Nicely shot and a great song too.
As a fan of both the Eagles and cigars, I got an extra kick out of seeing the stogies in Joe's and Don's hands. Also got a laugh out of how they were conveniently unlit. 🙃

Yes, that is one of his gifts. I saw an interview with Don Felder, and he had nothing but praise for Henley's lyric-writing ability. He used "Hotel California" as a prime example.

This is in my Top 12 of EAGLES songs! "Long Road Out of Eden" is by far their fave album of mine, with several of my Top 12 being from there, including my #1 "You Are Not Alone" by the late, great Glenn Frey! 💖🙏 When I hear this particular tune, it reminds me of my gorgeous niece Samantha, not because all the lyrics fit her, but because she and most of her female friends truly are FABULOUS and classy young folks!!! 😍😍 Sammy is also a REAL SWEETHEART and could have easily been the beautiful girl in this video!!! 💘💘
P.S. Now that I have watched this video, here are my other takeways: 1. The Eagles are the CLASSIEST R&R Band ever!!! Who elso would ever wear designer suits like this, I ask? 🕺🕺🕺🕺 2. This is one of the coolest Music Videos I've ever seen! It was so awesome and hilarous how all the band members played parts at this party!!! 🤣🤣 3. An older friend gave me the 2 disc set with this song on it. Sure I heard the Eagles on the usual FM play lists but I never realized how much I missed out on their fabulous harmonies. I have a better ear for music nuances than most people I know and I gotta say that I love the guitar chord playing in this one as well as the vocal harmonies.
With few exceptions, I'm not a music video fan. (Outside of actual live performances.) But I love this song!

Never knew they did a video for this album - the last album in 2007 when they finally got back together after their breakup. It was a good album and I am glad they gave us one more.
For the record, they never broke up. They just took a 14 year vacation.
