Even though I don't think of it as country, I recalled that this was being played like crazy on CMT when it came out. I know it was written about 9/11, but it is a measure of what has happened in the world since that this song is sadly still relevant. It was appropriate that it appeared again today!
How this fits the moment today...bless Palestine and Israel, and wish them not to use religion to hide their hate for their neighbours. Hope for tomorrow? Are we big enough?

Don Henley has such an amazing voice, when speaking he has somewhat of a lower voice but he can hit those high notes with such ease, I love watching him playing drums and he definitely has a beautiful smile but tome he’s just gorgeous

What makes this song even more beautiful is that when researching this it was written on 9/11/01! Very moving with the words having a more precious meaning!
What I always will love about Glenn is the way his voice expands those background vocals and harmonies. It's truly his secret weapon. Will miss him terribly at MSG next month, but his spirit will definitely be there.
No matter how long in between listens when I hear the opening harmonies I always get chills with this song.
If only radio stations kept playing this song over and over for years and years. This song speaks volumes. I have ALWAYS been an Eagles fan. Everything about them is admirable ❤️
