      Well, rigid tends to mean straight and unyielding. So, in a way, it makes sense that time in the Aurbis tends to break instead of bend! That’s a neat revelation! Thank you @scarredbutalive for your contribution to TES lore! 😁

      Time is rigid to the point of brittling. So when it hits the hardened walls Lorkahn's Trap it shatters, and the pieces must be put back together.

      Well, I figured it's not that it's hitting the walls of Lorkhan's trap, but rather, it's been contained with Auriel who was ensnared in it, so it's not breaking on his trap, just within it due to Lorkhan's forces of Man

    • @censoredeeznuts
      @censoredeeznuts 3 роки тому +53

      @@simpslayer69yt59 Here's my theory...
      Sithis is the soul of Padomay (Chaos/Change), as Anuiel is the soul of Anu (Order/Stasis). Anu and Padomay are a duality, as are their souls Sithis and Anuiel. Anuiel and Sithis would then create their own souls to balance the Aurbis, Anuiel making Auriel (Time) and Sithis making Lorkhan (Limitation). It's worth noting that Haskill says himself that Sheo's coming into being as the 'Sithis shaped hole' might not be entirely true. I believe this ties into a very important character - Jyggalag. It's also worth nothing that Namira is a force of duality in the eyes of Reachmen.
      Jyggalag, God of Order, was supposedly the most powerful Daedric prince at one time, and all other princes came together to curse him with madness and turn him into Sheogorath. This is very interesting when we consider that Sheogorath is the 'Sithis shaped hole' left when Lorkhan's heart/divine spark was ripped out.
      It's very intersting, as Jyggalag is a Daedra who is most in tune with Anu, rather than Padomay. Jyggalag is also the only Daedra to have been born knowing their purpose (it's also entirely possible this knowledge drove him insane and turned him into Sheogorath without any influence from the other princes at all), however Sheogorath is inherently Padomaic in his chaotic ways of being. More so than any other princes, Jyggalag and Sheogorath reflect Anu and Padomay and yet they do not bare any similarities to Anuiel or Sithis...
      When Sithis created Lorkhan in the Void, the darkness that manifested in his heart brought the essence of Namira into being within Lorkhan, Namira literally being the Void. His heart was ripped out, creating both the Heart of Lorkhan and the Dark Heart, a the seperating of the heart (duality) within Lorkhan would create a Daedric prince: Nocturnal birthed from the black blood that beat from the Dark Heart, being the daughter of Lorkhan and Namira. For this next part, remember that Lorkhan's body is Nirn.
      I theorize that the 'Sithis shaped hole' doesn't refer to Sheogorath's birth, so much as Jyggalags. It is not a hole left in the absence of his heart, giving birth to Chaos through Sithis. Rather it is the product of removing Padomay/Sithis from their own creation, leaving only Anu where there was Duality. This created Jyggalag, a force of Order and Stasis much like Anu except physically present, tangible and powerful. A being who knew all things past, present and future, who had taken account for every possibility ever possible. And again, the only prince to understand their true purpose.
      I do not believe the other Princes cursed Jyggalag into madness. I believe Jyggalag knew he was the only Anuic Daedric Prince, knew of his full power and purpose but also knew of his inevitable fate - so much knowledge and order and stasis that it would curse him into Sheogorath of his own volition. An entirely seperate Prince to Jyggalag. Sheogorath being the Padomaic counterpart to Jyggalag rather than a version of him. This is supported by the conclusion of the Shivering Isles, where the Champion of Cyrodil mounts the role of Sheogorath and Jyggalag continues to exist, building his own Plane of Oblivion somewhere besides the Isles.

      You can't die if all you are is a basic and prevalent concept, but it's shown repeatedly that godhood is related directly to the belief of the people and not through some other force or power unique to the status. • @thorshammer7883
    @thorshammer7883 3 роки тому +12

    Do you think Sithis contradicts what Padomay is?
    If Padomay is supposed to be about eternal chaos and change and Sithis is all about and for eternal nothingness and void doesn't that mean Sithis is contradicting and going against the will of Padomay?
    There can't be chaos and change if there is nothing and empty void.
    In fact if you think about it what Sithis wants is more familar with Anu's philosophy even if it's more sinister and nihilistic in nature. From what I see here Sithis is a contradicting force towards Padomay. Talk about hypocrisy.

    • @margaritamarin7526
      @margaritamarin7526 3 роки тому +3

      I agree! Sithis and Anui-El are supposed to be born from the interplay of Anu and Padomay, so my interpretation is that, there is a little bit of Anu in Sithis and a little bit of Padomay in Anui-El.
      After all, in the story 'Sithis', they say that before Sithis, 'the start of the house', there was only the 'nothing' of Anu with no mention of Padomay; in which case the creation story is being interpreted monotheistically, with Sithis taking the role of "God" emerging from the unchanging pre-existence of Anu and 'fashioning a myriad of possibilities' of existence from it, including Anui-El. So in this story Anu, rather than Sithis, is described as something akin to the Void; in fact maybe in this story the Void only came into existence once Sithis divided things to create a distinction between nothingness and everything else. So maybe Sithis exists inside the Void, but is also an entity which predates the Void?
      Likewise, I wouldn't be surprised if in the future there is a creation story from some other culture that insists that there was no Anu and that pre-existence was solely Padomaic "Chaos", and that Anui-El (going by this name or another name) formed from this chaos allowing structure and permanency to come into existence, therefore allowing other concepts such as time, love, death, void, logic, limitations, Sithis, Auri-El, etc., to come into being within it. Who knows?

    My theory is that when lorkan was created by sithis the darkness inside of him was derived from sithis and azura separated it allowing for lorkan to no longer be the end of creation as sithis intended and allowing lorkan to indulge in creation only to find that even gods can gain wisdom from limitations and decided to create mundus and mortal man and weaken the gods inside.

    The void is the "lobby" ya saw in ep6 of LOKI, to put it simply. It's the road between universes, which had to exist due to the dragon breaks splitting reality into various threads. I've always believed that existed in TES, otherwise how could all those realities exist disconnected but contained within the same continuity.

    It is without any doubt that Namira is the twin sister of Shor as she was born from some of the flesh that had left Shor’s body, while Nocturnal is the other twin sister born from some of the blood that had left Shor’s body. The 3 were disciples of Sithis, learning the ways of darkness. While the two sisters competed against each other for the title of the Great Darkness, it was Shor who became the Champion of Sithis. His world, Sovngarde, was created and Shor set out to destroy Auriel and the Anuic Et’Ada, taking with him the Anuic goddesses Kyne, Mara and Dibella as his warbrides. However, Shor had greater ideals. He created Mundus to not only trap the other Et’Ada into mortality, but also to provide a plane from which one can begin to understand the nature of the Aurbis and beyond. Then soon came a race of lesser Et’Ada known as the Wandering Ehlnofey who took Shor’s side, and thus were shaped in his image. It comes as no surprise why the Nordic race have an identical phenotype to Shor. Man has a Lorkhanic appearance, as does Tsun, Stuhn, Jhunal, Nocturnal, Namira and all kinfolk of Shor.

      @@timyuusis3372 Sure thing friend. It’s in the Khajiiti creation mythos, as well as pieces of the Aldmer creation mythos. Shor was the last child of Anu and Padomay. When Padomay fled to the Void and birthed Shor, he would be raised by Sithis. However, Shor was born with an illness that had serious negative effects on his body. He would go from coughing to vomiting out his own blood, which at that point was black. As Shor laid seemingly lifeless in Sithis’ domain, his blood came together and became Nocturnal, while another being grew out of Shor’s body and became Namira. But, as if by a miracle, Shor rose up and was no longer sick. He became a mighty god of the Void and, when the time came, Sithis sent Shor, not Nocturnal or Namira, but his greatest disciple, Shor, to destroy the Aedra and all their imperfections. The Dark Brotherhood have a book on this.
      Honestly, everything I’m saying is stuff that was already said by Drew. It’s just a matter of paying closer attention and learning to understand the lore logically yourself.

      This is so fascinating and it's easy to get lost in the convoluted nature of canon and non canon TES lore. As a side note, I've always wondered why the Dark Brotherhood (who revere Sithis so greatly) never had a priesthood within their ranks or did I miss something? Imagine, if an assassin of the DB instead of climbing the ranks to eventual Silencer, was given the option to delve into the more esoteric nature of the Dread Father. "Do you know why we kill in His name, dear child?", the DB member could be asked by the Night Mother. In my head canon, Sithis collects mortal souls so that they are no longer influenced by the Aedra/Daedra but instead are returned to their origin. Maybe there is a parallel yet opposite world to Mundus nestled deep within the Void with all the souls sent to Sithis? Thoughts?

    I have another theory, but it takes some ancient mythology comparisons. Greek mythology says that Aphrodite was formed when the first Titan Kronos cut off his father, the spirit of the sky/heavens Ouranos's balls with a scythe where they fell into the sea. Aphrodite was formed from the mixture of blood, sperm, and sea foam that resulted, walking up out of the water in full view of the Greek gods. The gods are all the spawn of the Titans, the Titans were all the spawn of Ouranos and Gaia. Therefore Aphrodite was a primal being like the little sister of the Titans who was born waaaaay later on. So she's parallel on the family tree to them. The gods, who she is actually YOUNGER than, are the next level down on the tree. I think this is similar to Namira. Lorkhan having been born in the void as they said in the beginning and having the darkness corrupt his heart and spill out before Azura ripped it from his chest and cast it into the sea, Namira was the total sum of all the darkness that had seeped into him at his birth. When Azura ripped it out, it coalesced, like a twin being of Lorkhan and was given form. So Azura, the niece, actually cause the birth of her aunt. And since they're all myths, they may have metaphorical, or mistranslated, interpretations by the different races. It's like a game of telephone where at the end you can hear the similarities to the original statement, but it's almost completely jumbled and incoherent. So Namira is the aunt of the Daedra and Aedra, and spawn of Sithis, who's essence was the darkness that infected Lorkhan in the first place.

    In for the vivec the Godhead was accepting that everything was a dream in the head. Just a little piece of this big dreamer. One that's independently able to think from the dreamer, but no nevertheless. Just apart of some things imagination.

    Sithis is actually death because death in its old definition was change. All death wanted to do was bring everything back to the void. But according to the law of balance, one can not exist without the other as such sithis understands that he can not completely bring all to the void and as such became the representative of change and the breaking of that which binds you. Think more of it as the void is the ultimate order where there is no chaos because there is nothing. Sithis wants to order the universe of mundus.
