I saw Tom performing live on TV here in the UK recently when Tom was 82 years old. He looked and sounded amazing. If I make it to that age, I would be pleased to look half as good as Sir Tom. Great reaction by the way, your facial expressions said it all. Well done. 👍
Enjoying this with you again bro, Tom was just about 18 months into his career when singing this, watching this in ‘23 and Tom is now 82 and he is touring the UK this summer. And it’s interesting, if you said Tom Jones to I guess a lot of Americans they might say “who” BUT if you said instead “Carlton’s dance” you’d likely get a very different response because yes Carlton in Fresh Prince Of Bel Air danced to Tom’s first ever hit record It’s Not Unusual, much love to you and yours bro from Tom’s homeland Wales 🏴 UK 🇬🇧😊
Tom is now 81/82 years of age and has been a judge/mentor on The Voice UK since it began and he still tours! A fun fact for you if you don’t already know is that Tom’s first song recorded 2 years before this (1965) is the song that CARLTON dances to in Fresh Prince Of Bel Air! The song, It’s Not Unusual And for something very different from both these songs search Tom Jones Burning Hell a cover of the blues legend John Lee Hooker’s song which he recorded for an album in 2011.
You should watch Tom Jones at 80 yrs. old singing with Lonnie Donegan's son Peter on The Voice UK singing "I'll Never Fall in Love Again". Tom can still sang!!
Dear Tom, Still going strong well into his eighties. A popular judge on the Voice UK. His voice sounds the exact same now.....and he's still handsome in his eighties with his lovely grey hair, beard and twinkle in his eye
"GREEN GREEN GRASS OF HOME" is another track with Sir Tom Jones that was constantly playing on the radio, back in 1967. The fact that he can still belt them out at age 81 is beyond remarkable!
I went to a Tom Jones concert in London around 1975 when he appeared on stage I thought my future mother in law was going to have a seizure! He was truly amazing!
I remember watching Tom Jones on his tv show in the late 60's. He was pure magic. I had several favorite songs at the time. The only one I can think of was" A long came Jones." Good reaction Chad.
The House Song and Without Love which I think is his best and so does He. I got hooked when I was I think 12 when he came out with Green Green Grass of Home. Amazing voice.
Such a crooner Tom is (and so very easy on the eyes). My friend and I took my mom (he’s her favorite) to one of his concerts. The women were throwing their panties onto the stage (something that was common place at his concerts). My mom loved it and was so smitten - actually my friend and I were too!
Very soulful singing. Was a big Vegas draw for years, and if I'm not mistaken, I think he was one of the first performers to have women literally throw their panties on stage at him. I had a crush on him when he had his variety show back in the early 70s, but I was just a little kid then.
He put on an incredible concert, too! His performance was as good or better than anything you heard in studio. Speaking of the microphone thing, Chad, I actually witnessed Reba McIntyre DO just that! Acapella and sans mic, she stood on the edge of the stage and sang the National Anthem. It sounded as if she was right in front of you and it was breathtaking!! I'll never forget it! 🥲🇺🇸❤
Hello! Exciting that I am one of the first to comment on your reaction. What a poignant song for me. Thank you for reacting to this one. I look forward to your reactions and comments on all these wonderful "oldies".
New to your channel Chad and I've subscribed because I like reactors who let the artist perform without too many interruptions and you did just that. BTW did you know 1967 was known as the summer of love here in the UK and I firmly believe it was because we had great performers and songs at that time. No auto tuning then! Also I met my lovely husband of 53 years in one of the many dance halls here in Northern Ireland. We had the Irish showbands then and the talent was unbelievable!! Check out Joe Dolan here on UA-cam. ❤️
bit more than a crooner ... he had soul! I think this, Delilah and Green Green Grass of Home are like a life story. A women does him wrong, he turns into a stalker/slasher and then ends up executed! Just whimsy but hey, it makes you think.
Please do his song "Raise your hands" with Janis Joplin. I sent you the link a while ago. No crooning in that one. WILD! I mentioned Lonnie Donnegan and sent you a link to one of his songs "Does your chewing gum lose it's flavor on the bedpost overnight" just FYI, quite a while ago when The Bee Gees did his song "My old man's a dustman" in their early 1963 video. As you mentioned, he wrote this song as well. He wrote a real variety of music.
Susie Q - I know a lot about the Bee Gees, as you obviously do, but I had no idea that Lonnie Donegan co-wrote this brilliant song & performance by Sir Tom, thanks.
@@mickc7388 - Lonnie was a helluva good and funny performer who performed for decades, mostly in British music halls. He took diverse styles of music from vaudeville, jazz, R&R, folk, you name it and gave them new interpretations as well as writing his own stuff. The Bee Gees, The Beatles and all kinds of artists were influenced by him. He created what was called "skiffle" and all kinds of groups that followed started by playing his music and style. I also noticed in the recent movie about Judy Garland that Lonnie was represented. She asked him to go on in her place and cover for her when she was too upset. Cheers.

Amazing, isn't it? He'll be 83 in June and he sounds great.
Your facial expression..said it all..I didn't even wait for your reaction..cause I know you were blown away.

His range is INSANE!!! 👏👏👏👌👌👌👍👍👍👏👏👏
Wow! he never ceases to amaze. Thanks for playing this one.
The guy was KILLING IT!
Still going strong at 83 years old (2023)..❤❤❤.
An amazing fact... Lonny Donnegan's son was a contestant on The Voice UK. Tom and the son sang it together,
Treat Her Right 🙏🙏🙏
Tom can dance too!!!
Dear Tom, Still going strong well into his eighties. A popular judge on the Voice UK.
His voice sounds the exact same now.....and he's still handsome in his eighties with his lovely grey hair, beard and twinkle in his eye
Yes! It’s crazy how his voice is the same and he’s 81! He looks fabulous.
I agree I have heard him on the Voice UK and he is still Great.
Noway.

Amazing Amazing Amazing.
We don't have music like this anymore.
Take care Chad
Yours was the best reaction yet keep it a real brother!!
"I Who Have Nothing" is another incredible, emotional song from Tom Jones...
See why there was so much loving in the 60s and 70s😊😳
Always a favorite..a. Turn on
I went to a Tom Jones concert in London around 1975 when he appeared on stage I thought my future mother in law was going to have a seizure! He was truly amazing!
I like fine singer

No autotune, just live. And yes, as said before me, "I who have nothing" is a spectacular song
The House Song and Without Love which I think is his best and so does He. I got hooked when I was I think 12 when he came out with Green Green Grass of Home. Amazing voice.
@@franzhonley9052 ooh, Green Green Grass... I ❤️ that one....
I always enjoyed listening to Tom Jones, he s quite the man, beautiful voice.
Tom sang the theme song for the James Bond movie “Thunderball”. Song has the same title. Pure power and beautiful.
Lonnie's son was on the UK Voice and he played this song on the piano and sang it with Tom who was a judge.
One of the original crooners from the days when you had to be able to sing! No auto-tune etc
Man!, I keep telling my kids how horrible it is for them no being able to truly know and enjoy real music, the golden age my friend!, Amazing times!
Just loved your reaction !!
The most incredible thing is he sings as good as always at 80. My sis saw one of his concerts not to long ago
Are you serious? No way.
Y

LIKE ELVIS PRESLEY,. TOM JONES HAS A VERY POWERFUL VOICE. GREAT SONG, GREAT REACTION.
Great review! ❤️👏👏👍

Always loved him, incredible voice and he’s still performing sounding just as amazing 💜
He can still sing but he can't sang like he did back in the day.
Not like back in the day.

Great reaction! He’s wonderful. Love especially She’s a Lady and his cover of Let there be Love
Good reaction.
Such a soothing voice. Thanks for your reaction.
First time listener. Great artist, good job. TURN UP YOUR VOLUME when you record.
You are right Tom Jones' voice is the definition of power. Very nice. (I prefer classic to "oldies" LOL).
He's 80 now and still singing
WOW!!!
The Welsh are known for their amazing singers.
Yes, Tom's whole body sings!❤ (I have heard Tom has broken microphones😂)
ONCE IN A LIFE VOICE 🙏❤
Hello! Exciting that I am one of the first to comment on your reaction. What a poignant song for me. Thank you for reacting to this one. I look forward to your reactions and comments on all these wonderful "oldies".
Sir Tom Jones otherwise known as "The Voice"
Loved your reaction new sub
Still sounds this good at 80. Just put out a new album. Nothing can keep him and Barry down

Great reaction!
Just subscribed.
You know, what he did that show... was impossible.
Please react to Tom Jones singing:
She’s a Lady
And then listen to him sing it live in concert 40 years later: ua-cam.com/video/p-hVukDfZ-8/v-deo.html
He goes by Sir Tom Jones
Chad what about Ella by Raphael?
Watch "Treat Her Right"...kiss two sisters??!!😎🎶
If you are a Southern guy, try "Those Funny, Familiar, Forgotten Feelings". Altogether different. Not too unlike "The Green, Green, Grass of Home".
