I love this shifter. Absolutely the best. I had Logitech and TM TH8A, which were ok, th8a a lot nicer than the Logitech, but this fanatec shifter is HEAVY DUTY. I love how much it clunks in when shifting, or you can loosen or tighten it to preference. Awesome build quality as well. Yu can slam it into gear never feels like it’s gonna flex or break. My cars have always been stick shift so a shifter is important to me. I actually like driving my sim rig more than my real car😂

I’ve had mine since November haven’t used it much and the h pattern don’t work at all only the sequential works
I had two of these. Both broke (registering wrong gears) and had to be repaired. One of them twice. Finally I got a pro sim H pattern. That’s a crazy shifter.
@Geek Street do have any vertical monitor stands that you would suggest?
If you mean for a desk, I just purchased this one a couple of weeks ago and am pretty happy with it as its strong enough to hold a 32inch monitor.

This is a great shifter! I bought it a few months ago and it feels very solid. However, just know you will be using your paddle shifters for faster laps/cars and this stick shifter for more rally style or older cars.

Paddle shifter will always be quicker, all depends on the experience your after.
There’s just something special about ripping down a straight WOT slamming through the gears with the h-pattern or sequential shifter

Just a random observation, but why does everything these days come with screws that require an Allen wrench? What happened to Phillips and slotted screws that most basic screwdrivers worked with? It would seem that normal Phillips or slotted screws would be more universal rather than requiring a specially sized Allen wrench. Just a thought.
Screw slot can easily get damaged with a screw driver hence why they use.
@@GeekStreet The Allen wrench screws are more durable? Hadn't thought of that. I had just noticed that everything uses Allen wrench screws these days and wasn't sure why.
@@Aggie1295 inexperienced users will strip the screw with an improper size screwdriver. it's unlikely to happen with an allen key
replace the long shaft with a short one from SimMakerz and this thing comes closer to real shifter feel.
This is probably a dumb question, but what if you're driving a Supra for example and it has 8 gears - your shifter only looks like it has 7 gears?
You could map 8th gear to R, or even map R to 1st if you’re crazy. Otherwise your out of luck
So this shifter will work with the Logitech wheel? Does it just take the place of the Logitech shifter?
Yes it will work but on a PC only.

You can buy a club sport USB adapter and plug it directly into a USB port on your PC, but it won’t work with consoles AFAIK. This is what I did and I didn’t even need to download Fanatec software, recognized in windows automatically.

Dont get this shifter mine broke down and stopped registering shifts correctly within a month and apparently it's a common issue
Just got this shifter based on all the wonderful reviews. I do not like it at all. My Logitech is a better shifter. Not as high quality, but works better at SHIFTING!
Fanatec has a spring driven mechanism that makes it feel unnatural to blindly switch gears. Really easy to migear.
I can’t believe people praise it. Yes, it feels like a well built box, but so is the bear trash box outside my house. Doesn’t mean it excels at shifting
Yeah it's ok but well over priced and rather long in the tooth. It feels a bit weak on the rig, needed it maxed out on mechanical feel and it still feels weak. The Moza HGP shifter offers a far more tactile H pattern experience and there are various options to add sequential shifter functionality, both the ones I've tried were about the same as the Fanatec. The Fanatec is built to Fanatec's usual standard and if you switch between H pattern and sequential really frequently then you may well appreciate the ease of Fanatec's mode change (although you still need to change the knob)
This Shifter has a LOT of issues not even considering the sole fact 50% of them just shuffle gears making them unusable. It's put at a terrificly high price and the ergonomics are near zero. Also it's super easy even after the 5th or 6th new shipped product that FINALLY works to realize that in fact, FUCK, you misgear all the time because the gears are too close to each others.
Seriously, even a modded TH8A is better than this. I advise to simply go for a Moza shifter or SHH shifter, fuck fanatec shifter, for real. Also their customer service is terrificly bad and do NOT help you. Had to call a lawyer for a cease and desist to wake them up
