EDIT: Also, for those of you who are having trouble with MO2 recognizing the Anomaly game: The part in the HOW TO website that says to install the Anomaly plugin to allow MO2 to recognize Anomaly is old and screws up the files. It tells you to overwrite them when installing. In order to fix this, simply ignore that step and it works fine. Thanks to @George Gill for figuring this out!

Mod Organizer is great! I love it and the fact you can easily install and uninstall mods without modifying vanillas!

Oh, you were right when u said on stream that new things were coming omg! I think MO2 is the best way to install mods; JSGME is XD a lot of things can go wrong if you don't install one folder correctly. Again, great content a nice vid bro, and stream more so I can give u my money xd

Hi guys!! I realized that the Blindside and EFT mods I had in this video were outdated. In the new versions they state that EFT needs to be loaded before Blindside in order to fix an issue with the jamming animation. This is mentioned in the mods descriptions. Also, I forgot to mention that all files that you install need to be in the form of the "gamedata" folder (unless something has recenlty changed), as you would do with the regular copy/paste. New mods should already come with the gamedata as the default zip, but some mods might have different folders such as gamedata, extra options, etc. If you want to install extra options, you need to merge those with the gamedata folder that comes with the mod. Then just zip up the modified gamedata folder and import it with MO2. If you don't do it this way, MO2 warn you about it. Sorry for not mentioning this in the video... I'm still learning how to UA-cam lol

UI Mod might be out of date as well. It's for 1.5.0 and crashed whenever I butchered a Zombie. In case you have any issues. Presuming that's UIM 1.0.
@@James_MacIntyre Yeah I had to tweak the UI mod so it didn't have those screwed up random radiation icons on the bottom left. I made it so that the UI mod only consists of main menu, inventory, and dialogue screens.
@@James_MacIntyre i have this problem too, even i have zero mods running with MO2...
@@rocketblast1283 I fixed it by just not using that particular mod. If you're not able to make it to the main menu I'd check your install. If it's starting a New Game that's an issue, I'd check your graphics settings first, as particular options can cause crashes even on higher end cards. For instance, with HD textures and models, loading with highest Grass, Texture, LOD, and Distance settings usually crashes the game on startup. Hope that helps a bit.
Yessss, I needed this video. I have one question, can I mess with other modpacks in MO2? I mean, can I open modpacks and enable/disable addons within it? Now that I write it, it sounds nuts but idk lol, great vid!
I think I understand what you're saying. I never really tried "modpacks" per say, but they probably come merged all in one gamedata folder, correct? If that's the case then yeah you can add that gamedata folder zipped up into MO2 and just name it "Modpack XXXXX" where you can enable and disable it. If the modpacks don't come all merged in one gamedata folder and are separate mods, I would recommend you create a separate mod profile for that modpack and just add in the addons individually so you can control what you enable/disable a lot better. I hope this answered your question :D

Hey Sixx! I love your Stalker videos and I'm glad I found this one because I've been having a problem with MO2 ever since I first used it for STALKER. I always get an error that says failed to get environment variable: 'Steam app Id' I've asked around everywhere including both the MO2 and the Stalker discord yet no dice. I'd really appreciate it if you could shed some light on this. Thanks again!
Steam app ID??? Wtf... doesn't make sense to me lol. Did you download the Stalker Anomaly plugin? Some people forget to do that and it gives issues. Other than that, I have no idea what could be the issue. It's as if it was looking for a steam game?
I have over 100 mods in my profile and the game still works like a charm.. It's insane and quite unbelievable. ✌😎
Oh yeah.. the amount of mods you can have and still have a stable gameplay experience is amazing!
Currently enjoying Provak's 2.5 standalone mod, no fuss, no muss and great performance! 😁👍
I'll have to give that another go. Last time I tried it, I didn't have a good experience. But since you said that, I might give it another go :)
Overall good experience yes, but after a while the performance goes to shit. On reddit they told me that this is a common problem with Provak's even on high end systems and here I am, modding Anomaly by myself.

@@SixxsBunker I definitely do not, finished the switch last night, the profiles are great, I ended up making a second one with provaks weapon overhaul 2.5 in it and its my new playthrough haha didn't think it'd start another playthrough so soon but that mod pack is the bees knees
@@joezombie4 Ok a few people have been telling me to try provak 2.5 since apparently he integrated the newly released (but unfinished) TAZ mod. I might have to actually check it out haha.
@@SixxsBunker works great for me! Thats why I ended up getting it since you said you prefer taz over BaS but the mod pack also says to have some stuff from that too as well as just everything you need in one nice pack

For anyone coming here after they installed addons and it doesn't work. try launching Mod organizer as admin. worked for me.
1 month to play by installing mods from time to time ... drag and drop ... crush ... BOOM! It does not work anymore!

bro when i try to run the stalker anomaly launcher with MO2 doenst open or run the game please can anyone give me a answer why?
When I try to select the Anomaly folder MO2 says there isn't a game in there even though the launcher is in that folder. Also congrats on 500 subs! :D

@@SixxsBunker I did yes. I even went as far as to try naming each folder the exact same as it shows in the images with no luck. I did notice the plugins folder already had basic_games included but still downloaded the one it said to and replaced the files.
@@georgegill92 Hmmm that's very strange. I have no idea how to answer that question. One last thing you can check is, make sure you have the game_stalkeranomaly file in the following path: MO2\plugins\basic_games\games (note I renamed my folder to basic_games). If you already have it there... then I have no idea. Might need to ask in the Anomaly discord.

I deleted animation from Configure Mod Categories now my game is a total mess. Is there a way to add that animation back?
What if i have Fallout Horizon,Fallut lost world profiles on my mod organizer....because when i create a new profile it still uses the archive of preinstalled mods from the Fallout 4 mod list ...how do i get a mod organizer without any of that BS ...but without wiping out all of the Fallout mods and profiles?

Do the old version of some mods like eft animations still work with 1.5.1 ?
The EFT repositioning mod works for 1.5.1. A lot of the successful 1.5.0 have been ported over. However you should check moddb for updates since some older versions won't work for 1.5.1.
keeps saying cannot start anomalylauncher exe says it does not exist
i installed mod organizer and everything correctly but when i add even just one mod and launch the game on a new save. it loads for 2 seconds then crashes and i get no error code or anything
Might be some incompatibility with the mods? That tends to happen when one mod conflicts with another or is not compatible with other mods.

The guide you showed is old, you are supposed to skip the plugin step because the newer versions already have it included.
Also mags mod is outdated crap, the author is gone.
Yup I included the fix in the description so others won't have that problem. Yeah I was wondering what happened to that mod. I think there was a recent patch for the magazine mod but I believe it was from a modder separate from the author. What a shame, I liked that mod.
It says No Valid Game Data for me when installing Boomsticks and Sharp Sticks and various other mods. Only Soundscape seems to work. Have no idea what happened
Gotta watch out for mod compatibility. Some mods are not compatible with overhauls like B&S.
@@SixxsBunker Yeah funny thing is that when I hard installed my mods, which was B&S, Soundscape, Hollywood VFX and GOTZ, it all worked. Then I installed magazines, and it worked but I didnt like it so I tried to remove it and all got messed up. Cleaned everything up and tried the MO2 with the same mods without the magazine mod and everything just breaks on me. It's weird.
I'm having a problem and I believe it's Mod Organizer 2 causing it, it isn't the mods because I've loaded them up before.

Yeah I have a few games in mind that I wanted to try out. Work is really busy right now so I barely have time to do STALKER but once things settle down I will expand to other games :)

Did you download the anomaly plugin? The website in the description takes you to a github where you need to download the Anomaly plugin.

The download links should be in the first post of the github link. Right below "Bug Fixes" you should see a set of links. Download the 7zip or the exe file, your choice ;)
this shit is stupid lmao. i follow ALL instructions. but things still do not work.
i am greeted with a different screen when launching mo2. it says "falloutnv instance not found" I have a separate instance for fallout new vegas, and I installed a new mo2 installation. shit makes no sense.
