- Also at the request of kh321, Venom 2 Surface. This level is pretty strange in my opinion, it's not like a normal Venom stage. I understand you're going for the back door, but where does this road-ish thing come from.
Level boss is easy, just have to know how to avoid it, something I need to practice on.

25 years i lived and i still think that this low polygon'd Arwing design is the most badass.
When i was a kid, and saw this cutscene, all i could think was " OMG Fox is one hell of a pilot =X"
Always thought Venom was uninhabitable in general per lore from the instruction booklet and yet that looks like a giant megalopolis in the background and this level appears to be a highway like design.
Venom is home to the lizard people where Leon is from.
@@eduardomagana3858 Not really. Venom was once inhabited by an advanced civilization that died out but left behind technology. When Andross was exiled there, he used what he found to continue his research, creating mutated bioforms which could survive on Venom, as the atmosphere was unbreathable for Cornerians and the oceans were highly acidic. He built cities and military installations in his effort to make the planet more habitable and it attracted all sorts of galactic scum and outcasts to his world as he amassed an army.

1:25 Ah yes, this game perfectly captured the feeling of being on the highway behind a guy that keeps heavily braking despite nothing being in front of him and being convinced he's trying to kill you.
I loved this level and its music so much.

That boss was much harder to me when I finally beat the game more than 10 years ago. But I really enjoyed this stage, especially the part where you have to dodge the panels before reaching the boss.
@DoomedDuckBabyMario actually in an official booklet that was released with the game, there was something about venom having a highway that goes directly to andross

The roadish thing comes from the previous boss, from the surface. You can see a box deploys and goes to vemon before the other half is destroyed.
Venom 2 always was kinda crazy to me. You've got like Venom 1 and Venom 3 have all these ships and defenses, while Venom 2 is just like "guess we'll just start blasting all these vehicles in the middle of their commute", lol.
I agree, SF seriously didn't f*ck around with us back in the day, and it still doesn't to this day. I loved the difficulty though, it made alot of us into who we are as gamers today.
Year 2030, people are flying cars, and this is the kind of road rage that will occur. I can see it now...
I absolutely loved this game when I was young and now I have it on an emulator. I just saw your Out of this Dimension video and I learned, no matter how many times I play this game, I always find something new.
this game is just unreal. producing graphics that the SNES shoudl never have been capable of.
When I was four years old (I'm 13 now) the last boss scared the shit out of me.

I always felt sorry for the cargo van at the end. Here the poor guy is, just trying to make a living delivering motorcycles to a nearby dealership, and some crazed ***hole in some overpowered paper airplane swoops in from behind and blows the car-carrier off the road. If I was that trucker I'd be raging too, AND probably throw those bikes at the pilot myself!
This boss scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Not only that but when I shot his weak spot he laughed. So I thought it was just making it worse. I thought what a sick sick end to the game for a lot of years.

In Star Fox, Andross shoots blocks out of his eyes, in SSBB, the blocks come out of his mouth.....

Its amazing how easy the Venom 2 surface level and boss is. Venom 2 orbit on the other hand is really tough. Not just the level, but its boss too. That crushing thing always destroyed me up until the day I figured out that when Peppy tells you to "fire retros" he means use your boost to dodge the boss crushing you. After that I was finally able to take that b**ch down!

If Im not mistaken, I believe that the road is a highway going into the city/mechanical complex of Venom.
I can't remember, but I think the enemies on this level were mercinaries trying to kill you. Not sure....been like 12-13 since I last played this game..Sounds alot more intense and desparate, so it would fit the other one better...
Still wished they used this music for Venom 3 instead.
It looks like he cries the tiles, swallows them than throws them up, odd boss for a fun game.
i loved this vonem path out of all 3! the venomonion highway is fucking crazy for milatry personal to get to the Base which you see in the back groung i just love these ideas the people who made this game came up with!
What they were trying to do with this was probably a loading dock or something like that.

also that boss fight with the face that 1s in starfox adventures except its really a pig its pigmas face just taken over by these aliens so he looks purplish blackish and hes way harder
i like the Venom Bakground it looks evil and barren and deserted-ish and the Hardness of Venom
I have a rom of this, but I HATE the controls. I guess I'll just have to buy the real version :S BTW, Great job!

I can clear Level 1 with no deaths
Level 2 I might get up crushed by the Venom atmosphere boss
Level 3 I just got into Macbeth today... and died, that route is UNMERCIFUL.
It's impressive because I could clear SF64 on expert on the hard route when I was a child.
Now I am more experienced and Level 3 just kicks my ass.

the music from whne your in the tunnel is fucking great ...no game will have a great sound track like this ...not even the other starfox games
Andross- He keeps trying to eat you, and when he EPIC FAILS, he tries to spit at you... Same in the 64 one too xD

Hope they include an unlockable version of the original Star Fox for the SNES in the remake for the 3DS.

While the level is really pretty and rather thrilling, it's also pretty much shooting fish in a barrel...
the Venom Highway was freaky.... That City was creepy in the side.
The most mysterious level of the game..on a planet.
If you still need help avoiding the boss the thing I always do is brake and change sides while the thrust bar is still going down. I've yet to hit it that way.

You didn't need turbo in that game, you really could shoot that fast with the big ball guns if you hit the trigger fast enough.

This game is a beauty, and looks very difficult. I would love to get my hands on this game, OR see nintendo release it on virtual console.

If you want a real reason though, it's because the game uses the Super FX Chip, and it can't be converted or something for the Virtual Console. Forgot where I read about it, but the article should be out there.

the part in the tunnel looks harder than the tunnel in venom 3. however, overall venom 3 is much harder.

Picking flowers??? No, if you look it up you should know what Pikmin 2 excatly is. And yes, SSBM should probaley be the best game for GC not SF Assualt or Pikmin 2, which was basicly all 3rd person shooter.
Anyway, yes you could be right, i was just going by my opinion. And Mario 3 & Zelda 1 are both awesome games, i think Mario 3 would be the best because thats alot of people say

Sorry but i mostly hate Star Fox Assualt, the only enjoyable thing in the game was the Multiplayer. I think Star Fox SNES, Star Fox 2 (Unreleased), & Star Fox 64 were much better than Adventures, Assualt, and Command.

i agree with all but N64 ang GC..N64 Zelda Ocarina of time is definately the best...and it is still one of the best games of all time..and GC is between Zelda Windwaker and Metroid...But i agree star fox assault sucked ass...i think i beat that game in fuckin 45 minutes
