Great video and thanks so much for the shout out! I love how easily Asimov still connects to current issues.

He really handled a difficult issue well. This would have still made a great book even with the science fiction removed.

I recently read Daniel Greenes "A Witches Sin" and I don't think I even understood how much of the detective scifi genre that exists! 🤓
I love how close to our reality they all feel and this book sounds superb! I'm definitely adding it to my incredibly long list! 😊

I seem to love sci-fi detective stories and this is a really great one. Its presented self contained so there’s no need to know or have read anything else , though there are sequels. Thanks.
I need to swing back and comment on another of your videos where you said you wanted to see (was it the Maas books?) turned into a movie because it would be terrible. 😆😆
Oh did I laugh. But I became distracted and neglected to applaud you. Anyhow, this comment will be repeated, in some form, over there. 😁

I'm a fan of your channel! you cover books I would typically gloss over and it's awesome to be able to add so many of them to my TBR! Keep it up! 🦾

Great review and summary of this classic. I read Asimov's entire Future History just over 20 years ago and really enjoyed it. I recently listened to Caves of Steel on audiobook and I was surprised how relevant some parts of this book still are. Asimov gets poopoo'd a lot for his prose but I don't see any problem with it, it just has an academic flare. If you like this then you'd probably like Naked Sun also. Glad I found you channel, I'm on booktube as well. Cheers.

Its true some early Asimov I’ve read is more interested in ideas over story. This one was satisfying on all fronts. It isn’t spectacular prose but it is good prose. I was impressed with how he wove the ideas about robots replacing humans into a well plotted mystery story. I can see why this became a series because I would definitely read another.
I’ll have to look into Naked Sun and I’m definitely going to have to watch your stuff since I’ve already seen a few titles you’ve reviewed that I’m interested in. 😁
