- BLUELOCK'S Wild Card is THE biggest mystery in the whole series, which turned one of most wholesome characters of the series, into the dark horse hero we see today. In today's video, I'll be going over my FINAL theory on What actually happened in the Wild Card, Why Kunigami turned this way, and covering everything relating to the Wild Card.

Let's say shidou lost and they picked igaguri, how do you think the wild card would affect Shidou since hes kinda crazy already (Im a Shidou fan and mainly anime)

@@myrum2844 Shidou probably wouldn't improve like, at all. It's safe to assume that Shidou is relative to Rin considering that they were the only ones who scored against the world 5. With this, the scaling would go Rin>Shidou>>>>>>>>the other top 6 and rest of the Blue Lockers. This is to put into perspective how much better those 2 were compared to the rest of the Blue Lockers to the point where they literally had 0 improvement throughout the 1st and 2nd selection. With the context that the Wildcard was to create someone with the same physicallities of Noa then Shidou basically already had that. He is comfortable on both feet like Nagi, has quickness, and an instinctive offensive weapon. In fact, I think that Shidou would probably be bored asf in the Wildcard because his philosophy is "creation". To him, goals are a creation of life and to take that away from him for a new philosophy would probably make him mad. Due to his sheer talent, he'd pass without gaining anything besides maybe a stronger body.

I would add that after eliminating Kuon, the rest of the team cuts themselves off from Kunigami, fearing him, which will result in Kunigami remaining only a lonely and tedious training, forgetting about humanity and callously eliminating the remaining players, which will intensify his callousness and lead to obsession

This theory tracks for me. Maybe what Ego replicated was the harsh environment Noel Noa grew up in, and had everyone train under harsh conditions? It isn't as if the program would funnel money from it's main priority to a selfish art project of Ego's. I could see Ego offering player-specific propaganda that serves as the antithesis of their ego in order to break them down into the perfect mould.
Yes, this one. One of my theory is related to a personal propganda for every wildcard player. For Kunigami's case, it would be threatening Kunigami's siblings. In the LN (i do not read the LN, i happen to see a small part of it), Kunigami was seen beating up others for what I assume in defense for his siblings. This could be his motivating factor until Ego 'releases' them when the objective is hit. He may also be further 'depressed' in conjunction with his theory. For example, Naruhaya's love for his sibling is also commendable, wanting to be a pro footballer so that they can break poverty. Kunigami, knowing everyone's situation, could be forced to eliminate Naruhaya and his family would suffer in some way, defeating his purpose of being called a hero.
An episode for the wild card kind of like Episode Nagi would be very nice.
Also Kunigami just went through a whole damn torture chamber, he is broken.

I kinda wanna say that Kuon wins the jumping test barely but doesn't kick out Kunigami cos he was the only one nice to him and then Kumigami kicking him out later makes it more unbearable to him and that is the point he goes full emo.

Once flashback of WildCard hits Kunigami it's over for Shidou and PXG. Its gonna be glorious how he'll return his getback to Shidou, amd maybe even surpass Rin, Isagi, and Kaiser once Kunigami have his Awakening

I have a kinda similar theory. But I have changes. I think instead of the Masters in NEL the ones who personally "trained" them are the players from World 5, namely Luna, Silva, Adam, Pablo, & Loki. The reason almost all the players forced to forfeit is because hellish training in Wildcard. I think those World 5 are arrogant and often mocks the players from Blue Lock. Kunigami is the only one who perseveres on their bullying and forced training. I also think the WC participants were forced to battle these World 5 players. Kunigami in the end the only one who survived the training, the World 5 then instilled their skills and could've taught the sole survivor of Wild Card. Kunigami did get trained to attain Noa's ambidexterity, but along that includes the skills of World-class players...
What I think he have gained from the World 5 are:
• Instantaneous Speed from Loki (he was the Top 3 on the
start of BM's ranking, Isagi notice his speed he's gotten a lot faster. the only BL player who got to start on the very 1st game of BM)
• Jumping power and Explosiveness from Dada Silva (He displayed this feat during Manshine when he scored an assist from Isagi, he def jumped so high & took off to poach that explosive volley)
• Adam Blake's rugged physique & overall physicality (he displayed these against Barcha when he hold off 2 defenders, he also got to trap in tight position and tried to score from his right foot, his very first attempt)
• Pablo's Creativity & dribbles (???, still haven't displayed this, maybe his feint dribble attack versus Ubers)
• Lastly, Leonardo Luna's dominance, top specs and superior physical prowess. I think Leonardo is a natural ambidextrous player so he taught Kuni how to train his off-foot (Kunigami has his own way of dominance that he follows, he said this to Ness during Barcha game)
I don't think he displayed all his learnings from the World 5 players. He haven't gone all out yet, so he's finally gonna go ham versus PXG & Shidou. It's fun speculation if this becomes true

I have another take. I believe Kunigami is already eliminated at the spot. His upgrades are artificial, "temporary" and he did not change his attitude of "hero" and "sacrifice". I think he is sacrificing himself for the growth of other BlueLock players, just to be used and discarded and he won't be able to continue being in BlueLock.

Instead of solely trying to replicate Noa, I like to believe that the Wildcard participants were separated into strands and train with the goal of having similar specs as the five would be masters in NEL they're similar to in playstyle. So for Kunigami it would be obviously be Noa, Iemon prob Snuffy, Naruhaya prob Loki or Lavihno and so on. Ego is a smart man, it would not make sense for him to force for example Naruhaya which has a different playstyle, physique to be similar to Noa.

The survival games theory doesn't male sense, letting a player choose who to eliminate wouldnt narrow down the best accurately, for example if kouon was the best physically he could just elimate kunigami in the first round even though kunigami could have won the next 4 survival games
I don't think the wild card program could really resemble your description. In your hypotetic scenario, if you were the second best in your group, you would have the highest chances to be eliminated by the winner. That would be a system that favors the weakest, which is the opposite of Ego's ideals

I think there is a great chance that ego already choose the no 1(isagi) from the very start according to their gameplays but don't admit it cause he wants to give him the real experience(think about the example he gave in BL opening ceremony, do you really think that was a coincidence) and same goes for all blue lockers and when someone falls short or losses his way he just trys to get them back in track by doing something crazy. JUST A THEORY.. ✌

You do have a point, and it might be right, but to me the whole the only survivor of the wild car, makes me feel like it could have been multiple survivors, but kunigami, bud do to his physical, was the only one to survive the wild card(that is my take I wonder what you think about it)

If shidou picked kunigami insted reo what would happen
Reo copying Noa's playstyle and he becomes cyborg like Noa. He can def be an ambidextrous player, more flexible than Kunigami. I think he can replicate Noa's goal against Barcha. He will be a pure striker and ditch Nagi. He'll also become edgelord I think all the players who have undergone the Wildcard becomes emo 🥲
I really hope Ichigo gets something going for him in the matchup against Shidou because ngl he has been like the most boring generic character since the Wildcard
