My dad, a marine corp Vietnam veteran, and narcotic agent, all around tough guy, told a story about rock apes attacking him by throwing huge rocks and causing him to wreck his jeep and jump off a bridge (causing a lifelong back injury) while he was in Vietnam. One time he walking back from the quarry but taking a different route home, he seen "a small monkey/gorilla" playing in a large tree then getting stuck. It let out a cry and another being came with arms out to help it, but this one was about 5 to 6 foot tall, but not much hair on it like the one in the tree. And, it was a female (breasts). He described it as "beautiful". She saw him after he stepped out of cover and she walked off with the little one after staring at him for a long time. He seemed it looked malnourished/skinny. The next time he came back to quarry he brought fruit and bread. He still did not know what she was, maybe homeless person, but beautiful/naked. He would often come back and leave food and wait to see her pick it up and eat from a distance. Last time he seen her was when she brought a large hairy female with her (8 foot tall, very wide, very hairy, no neck). After that encounter he never saw them again. He only remembered how beautiful she looked. Don't remember where I heard this from (sasquatch chronicles, or another site)

But now I’m fascinated by the first story; I definitely have not heard that one before.

Where I live now (Harford County) also had a rash of Sasquatch sightings at about the same time, EXACTLY where I live. But like the BRFO said about his sightings they were a rash of sightings that were not seasonal. I bought my house almost twenty years ago, about ten years after the rash of sightings. @@mrmasonry9792 I fished the Monocacy River and Little Monocacy River when I was very young. Mostly smallmouth bass, but also catfish and fallfish. Other than being in the water fishing along catching lots of fish, I remember the stinging nettle patches in the flood plains of those streams when we were crossing dry land. I see nettles elsewhere but nothing that thick, or vast. They were like giant walls you had to go around. I tell you we spend so much time trying to get through it going in. No thought on our own bodies getting out. We looked like Freddy Kruger got a hold of us when we got to the car. What an experience. I live in Wa state now. I sure miss the 'Ole stomping grounds...
Absolutely love this channel! I have a really creepy story that happened about ten years ago, while hiking down a canyon by myself in the Wasatch Cache National Forest in Utah, late at night with a full moon above, and no flashlights turned on. Heard and saw some things going past an 1800s pioneer cemetery near some old, abandoned silver mines. Still creeps me out to this day! Would love to share the whole story!
I always enjoy your videos, Chris. I have loved bigfoot since the 1970s. All of the stories begin to form a consistent pattern of behaviors. It is really fascinating. Keep 'em coming.
Love your backyard and in house vids. Harkens back to the inner explorer in all of us without the hassle of venturing out. We shop at Grocery Outlet too! You are a down to earth relatable dude that is not the over top “mountain man” persona that a lot of presenters try to sell. You are the friend that we wish we all had. It’s a persona that works for you. Keep it up! Great you have sponsors now too.
Well said, bobdrago! While I appreciate the hiking concept and "production values" you go to the immense trouble to provide by setting up in a mountainous/forested setting, have no fear, Chris, that we would ever desert you simply because you choose your lovely backyard & fire pit to stage your videos. Be Well, Sir and long may you Keep Hiking and bringing us these tales. Big Hugs from an expat in Austria.
What an amazing story. These young men ignored the early warnings from these creatures on the corn fields and almost paid with their lives . I am glad of course they made it out alive and tell the rest of us to let nature alone.
What a great night :) I've found myself four stories behind due to work and am now watching them back-to-back. I have the house to myself and it's quiet and spooky...so much fun! Thanks for the stories!
This was actually really scary for me. 10 out 10 scared. I felt scared for them too. Glad that they got outta there safely. Thank you again Chris for always taking us on a journey of adventures. love it!
This is our story! Thanks to Chris for choosing it to share. And you are right, 10 out of 10 for us too LOL! I still feel luck to be here to tell it. If whatever it was wanted to take us out it could have done so with no problem.
@@mrmasonry9792 thank you for your reply. it is amazing that the story was about you and like you said, you still feel lucky. and lucky enough to tell it. Also, you're one of the lucky ones to experience the sashquash or big foot without major damage lol
I love to hear these stories. You tell them so well, and it's crazy to think about all the crazy and terrifying stuff these people have actually experienced in the wilderness of America. Thanks for all you do!
I know this place, it's near Dickerson, MD. I live about 30 miles north of there. Back in the 70's it was a secret party place for high schoolers. I know bc I was one of the kids ... it always felt spooky there and it was hard to get in there, but we never had this kind of encounter, thank God. Glad these guys got out ok.😮😅 Thanks BCC for another excellent story. 👍🏻🙂🖖🏼
This is our story! And I tell you the fact that we never saw what it was really made it worse in a way. However now that I know a lot more about face to face sightings, Im glad we didnt see it. If it really was a Sasquatch then I know they can really get into your head. Im fine with the current trauma level! LOL
Great story Chris, and awesome story telling. The poor kids gained about 10 years of wisdom in one day! You are educating young people with this 'cautionary tale', as well as the rest of us who might need a reminder (haha).
Hi Chris! I learned about your channel from my parents a little over a year ago. I was a new mom on maternity leave looking for something light and entertaining to help give me a little respite from the stress of having a newborn. Your camp fire stories were just what I needed; wholesome with a twist of spooky. Little retreats that I really appreciated. Thank you for sharing your adventures and sharing the stories. And it also inspired me to share my camping experiences with my daughter and create memories of our own in the great outdoors! Love your content and really appreciate your love of nature, it shines through with every post!
Wow! Those poor guys! Well, I bet he is more cautious if he ever goes hiking in the woods for any reason after that. Great story, Chris and congrats on having a sponsor! I always look forward to your videos every Sunday.
This is our story! You are so right that it changed the way we hiked. And even to this day I now live in an area where firearms are ok to have, I still understand that it means nothing when you are dealing with one of these creatures.
Great story as always Chris! That line you said "because we were in our 20's and stupid" make me crack up laughing! It's so true how stupid us guys were in our youth!😂😂😂
Loved the story today Chris!! Usually listen at bedtime but regardless of time when i see your post now i cant make myself wait until then. Once a week is just not enough! Thank you BCC, until next Sunday take care 😊
Love your in the safety of your backyard. Because when you are in the wilderness I'm always looking over your shoulders. You still managed to deliver the creepy ambiance , flames flicking, dark night and your terrific story telling skills Can't wait for what you have in store for us for Halloween Congrats on getting sponsors
YES! Isn't it a relief not to have to worry about Chris for once, as he tells us of what happened to others in backcountry settings?! Absolutely, a brilliant concept, hats off to Chris for the scenes he sets up with his Go-Pro & tripod -- but it can indeed be nervewracking for viewers!
Thanks Chris! Your definately the best story teller on YT. You really get into your stories and have a way of keeping me hanging on every word! Keep it up! God bless
Can't imagine their terror. So sorry for that, but if the Bigfoot had wanted them, It would have had no problem. It was most certainly trying to drive them out. Blessings Chris. Please be careful out there ❤❤❤❤
When I was a little girl about nine-years-old me and two friends were down by the river playing by the railroad crossing which was elevated in the air and went back down on the other side we were throwing rocks in the water at the substation and I threw a big rock up over the railroad tracks and we heard it land and then it came back and it landed right behind me we all look at each other and said who did that we figured it might have been our brothers they are always up to mischief in the neighborhood so I threw it back even harder and farther and I heard a footstep crack in the grass Ihadvit not moved or shifted his weight I would not have seen it he was by a tree blending in like a chameleon the apparently when he shifted his weight it chases color enough that I saw him and his eyes they were of a eerie golden brown they seen it too we all ran home screaming no one believed I don't know if it followed us it was two blocks from our home
I just Love, love these Sasquatch stories Chris! You are such a great storyteller, I find myself right there in them. I have had a number of different experiences at my small farm here in upstate NY, which I have many photos of things that cannot be explained. (I have never seen them, and am not exactly ready for that quite yet.lol) I have felt a loving connection with what I think could possibly be a local clan or family. Anyway, thanks so much and I hope you keep the stories coming Chris! 💜🌻
I live in northern Maine and was fishing and camping on a river with a couple friends and their kids a couple summers ago and we were all woke up twice that night around midnight and 2 a.m. to what sounded like something throwing large rocks off the 20 foot ledge on the opposite side. I was sleeping next to the fire with just a sleeping bag. I sat up and they crawled out of their tents and we didn't say a word just sat there and listened. I've heard beaver slaps quite a few times and it's a different sound and we hadn't seen any signs of beavers in the area. I've heard a lot of stories now about rocks being thrown into water and it makes me think about that every time. I'd kind of like to believe something was throwing rocks lol. Definitely the strangest experience I've had in my time in the woods.
Kiwi Linda here, Chris. 😊 Really gripping story this time, and I really felt the fear, even though the story was told in your backyard! This is a testament to your fabulous “scary-story” telling skills. Oh boy, It sure took a long time for those bullet-proof young men to really recognise the danger, and decide to finally leave! Bigfoot must have been frustrated to have to throw sooo many rocks! We really appreciate your channel, Chris. 🔥👏🏼
This is our story and you are so right about that. I think it was when we stopped and confronted it that really pissed it off. I have heard that these creatures can use ultra low frequency sound to induce fear. If thats what happened I can tell you it worked wonders. I have never been so scared in my life. Like I said to Chris, it was not "Normal" fear. It was like a primal fear I never experienced. And I used to run the streets and had more than my share of fear. This was different.
Great to receive your reply, Mr. Masonry. Having watched many of Chris’ videos, your experience was right up there! Thank you for sharing. Glad you vacated the area alive, even if you shed some blood. New Zealand has no natural predators, and the only potentially harmful creature in the bush/forest is wild boar; sometimes huge, and usually ready for a fight, especially if hunting dogs are in pursuit. Be well over there.🐗
That low frequency sound really requires some supportive, scientific investigation. That’s another example of the not-yet-fully-explained enigma of the quantum universe, and the other-worldly capabilities of non-human creatures.
Base Camp Chris, you crack me up; Everything from the earnest way you lean into the camera to emphasize a point, to your excited whispery tone and hand gestures, is just the best. Thank you for all your narrations, they are a joy to hear.
Look forward to new stories weekly because i love the outdoors and you are the best story teller! Down to earth and you make me laugh. I grew up in the 70s too. Love your style. Interviewing people about their experiences is fascinating. Do you have a recommendation page for tents, fire pits, sleeping bags etc.?❤
Thanks for the story! My husband and I do a lot of mountain lake fishing. After watching you and missing 411, I have to say I do get a little jumpy 😮😂😂😂😂
Chris, you have a true gift for telling stories. Its always very entertaining and I hang on your every word. This was another great tale of terror in the woods. Be safe out there and I look forward to the next one. God Bless... Steve in Sarasota, FL.
Love the storytelling by the backyard fire-pit. I think I have the same one! Keep on doing what you are doing, Chris. Love the tales..... and I have a few beers along with you when I watch.
Hi Chris, I love watching your videos - they are so relaxing and suspenseful! I can't wait for the next one to come out! Have a great week! Cheers to Sasquach!!
That was a great story Chris. Thank you. Always enjoy your stories. One interesting story you might consider sharing is the massacre of the family by a Dogman at Land Between the Lakes in KY/TN around 1982 or 1983. Very scary story.
Chris, I’m a new listener and subscriber. I enjoy your storytelling style. It’s intriguing and suspenseful. It doesn’t hurt that you are also a upbeat person who has a nice personality and smile. Cheers.
Thank you so much Chris for this fantastic story sir definitely setting the spooky Halloween 👻 🎃 vibes what cool looking art work for a beer Frankenstein.
Yeah, me too -- My family loves documentaries, but have refused the siren call of spendy streaming services that throw content into the mix that we wouldn't watch if they paid us (porn, Faux Noise, OAN, ad nauseam). Curiosity Stream sounds like it's worth the price of admission. Thanks!
This had to be terrifying with all the huge rocks being thrown nearly hitting them! Not hearing footsteps is just crazy!! How would anyone explain this??!! They're lucky they made it out with just scratches from the brush.....like seriously!!! Love the backyard camping Chris.......another great story!!!
This is our story! I tell you it was such a crazy experience. We didnt put it all together until much later. No one can explain it however when I saw that show I was thinking that is exactly what happened to us! You know, when we were leaving, when we stopped it was because I had had enough of the intimidation and we just stood there listening and looking........I was ready for the fight. Like he said we were young, strong and cocky ( -stupid) so we were not backing down. But it was different. I have stood up to many many people, even when the odds were against me but this fear that hit me was something I have never experienced before or after. I think us stopping is what pissed it off. Like he said when we turned to go again the rocks got ALOT more accurate. Missing us by inches. And the last one in the creek was so big thats what sent us into fight or flight. We obviously chose flight! LOL
➡️ Wow that was a really scary tale 😱 Your story telling skills just keep getting better. It always amazes me how many ppl ignore clear warning signs in these kinds of situations. Love your channel!!❤
This is our story! And you are so right now with my mature brain I cant believe we completely dismissed the obvious signs to get the hell out. Well, youth makes you strong and stupid! I spent my life in the woods and I always felt like the apex person out there. I carried a knife and we were actually carrying knives when it happened. (In MD you cant carry guns) and I can tell you it meant nothing at the time. What ever it was that wanted us gone could have took us out anytime it wanted too. We realized that later. I feel luck to even be here to talk about it.
Nice back yard looks pretty cozy there, scary story sheesh glad guys got out of there safe, told my older son tonight to look at your channel as we were haveing a beer together in his sunroom, haha he gave me a odd kinda beer can that reminded me of you 😅 told him about your channel i watch every sunday night, cheers stay safe
Great story and storytelling. Love the fire and the way you always have a different beer🤣.You are so authentic and fun to watch. You really make my day.
Chris, I grew up in Montgomery County and use to frequent the quarry quite often back in the 70s. I have never heard this story before but it doesn't surprise me. There are a slew of Dogmen encounters in nearby Frederick county and Bigfoot stories up north close to Baltimore. Its crazy to think that all these encounters happen so close to major metro areas like Baltimore and DC.
Great story Chris. I am really glad I never ran into something like that. We used to do a lot of remote camping and got close encounters with huge bears but what ever threw those big rocks had to be a 10 foot tall big foot.
Makes me wonder if these types of encounters go hand in hand with some of the Missing 411 cases throughout the World. Maybe some of those missing folks didnt quite heed the warnings like Steve and his buddy did. Great episode !!! Wow. Thanks Chris.
You’re SO good at telling the experiencer’s stories. That he *still* has visceral trauma so close to him to this day… I’m imaging just one of the climbs I’ve been on and then adding a small boulder being thrown at me..? Having it land basically right up against your foot and the impact on the ground…it’s just so intense and not that easy to truly imagine all of that happening to you…just crazy. AND IT MAKES ME SO MAD that they’re bullying us like they are ! We’ve got the right to be there .
Great stories, Chris. I love that you are in the backyard. Love the Fire pit. I listen to you all the time. Thank you for the entertainment. It is wat better than what is going on in today's world with all the bad news. 😀
Good story Chris. I felt like I was right there in the quarry with them. So maybe it was a group of Sasquatch? These young guys certainly had their nerves tested. Any one of those rocks could have seriously injured them. I was relieved when they made it safely to the car, altho bleeding from the thick brush they ran through. Loved the little fire you had going with the coals. It provided a good atmosphere, as did the Frankenstein beer. With Halloween coming up, I bet you'll have some spooky fare for us! Take care.
Wow that was pretty wild! When you told of the second rock thrown into the water, your firepit's flames seemed to react with the wind that was blowing, it was going swoosh, swash, rumble, swoosh, swash, rumble, the glow was flickering like thunder - perfect timing! Goodness, they emerged with scratches all over their arms and legs as they sprinted on out of there been escorted by a hostile and territorial bigfoot. My son had a similar experience recently of a large rock he heard thrown towards him and his nephew, he heard it hitting branches and leaves and a loud thump nearby while we were out in a trail. I was about 15 yards away and didn't hear it.
Oh my gosh Chris! Your stories keep getting better!!! Each story you tell scares the bejeebers out of me!!! Lol. This story was really intense. Sometimes I've thought it's a little funny that Bigfoot throws rocks at people perhaps like kids would but this is more serious and not to be taken lightly. I truly believe that there is something out there that we all can't explain. I think there's a vast amount of the unknown that we can't even grasp. From what all the people who had experienced this type of terror must have felt like they were in a scary movie. I love scary movies but don't want to experience something like that. Thank you so much for sharing. You are the greatest. My imagination keeps telling me that something would be standing behind you when you are telling a story!!! 😂. Stay safe Chris. Enjoy your adventures and keep these stories coming!!! ❤

I envy those that get to know. I hope I can be a knower some day. But until then I just keep an open mind. I understand this is still something that affects you, but to quote a Dirty Harry criminal, "I gots to know".
@@treyt3764 Did I fire 5 or 6? Great Harry quote. LOL My buddy and I used to go up to the Monocracy Aqueduct where it hits the Potomac all the time and have fires and just hang out. We had no fear of the woods, especially since we both had extensive Boy Scout background. I see you are familiar with the overgrowth we went though.
Please do!!
what happened??
Please submit to Chris to share the story.
@@Nonotme888would love to, but not sure how. Most UA-camrs have an email in their “about” in their channel information.
I always enjoy your videos, Chris. I have loved bigfoot since the 1970s. All of the stories begin to form a consistent pattern of behaviors. It is really fascinating. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks Patriot! C 🐻🌲🍺🗻
After the possibility last time that the chirping was a mountain lion and not a bird, glad to see you in your backyard. Great story Chris, as always.
Thanks!! C🐻🌲🍺🗻
Thank you so much ! C🍌

Glad these guys got out ok.😮😅
Thanks BCC for another excellent story. 👍🏻🙂🖖🏼
Welcome! does sound like a creepy place. I believe it is very deep too.
Thank you Steve n Rick for sharing your experience. Thank you Chris for telling this story with us.
Welcome Sunshine Skies! C
Chris, you are the BEST storyteller that I know of. Even with no appearance of the rock-throwing "big guys" in the story, it was quite a thriller!
Yes- all Rocks and Screams! C🐻🌲🍺🗻...that would be enough to get me moving!
What a terrifying thing to happen to two young men! Thanks Chris..not long found your channel and I absolutely love it! ❤
Awesome! C🐻🌲🍺🗻
Appreciate your comment!! Keep Hiking! C🐻👍

Can't imagine their terror. So sorry for that, but if the Bigfoot had wanted them, It would have had no problem. It was most certainly trying to drive them out. Blessings Chris. Please be careful out there ❤❤❤❤
It wanted them gone...could of been so much worse with all the rocks flying! C 🐻🌲🍺🗻
@@basecampchris Thats for sure. It was its choice to let us go.
That sounds scary… they wanted to get your attention. 🦶
Thanks for sharing Chris!
Loved the story. Perfect Sunday for it. It's stormy here today. Much love Chris from Little Rock, AR.
I love stormy days
Love the Rainy nights!! C 🐻🌲🍺🗻 Thanks!
Be well over there.🐗
@@lindamckenzie4543 I tell you I would almost deal with a surly Bigfoot than wild Boar!
That low frequency sound really requires some supportive, scientific investigation. That’s another example of the not-yet-fully-explained enigma of the quantum universe, and the other-worldly capabilities of non-human creatures.
@@lindamckenzie4543 ... and predatory humans, of course, the most dangerous animal on Earth.

LOL
Happy to see Base Camp Chris is getting enough views for sponsorship. Awesome! More people need to be able to enjoy your campfire stories.
Much appreciated! 🐻🍺🌲

You are a great storyteller Chris, and always enjoy all of your video's. Keep safe out there.
Yes...had to be huge! C 🐻🌲🍺🗻
Great story Chris, I live in Tennessee now and there are many stories of BF here.
Take care.
Another awesome story. Thank you for sharing
I love how you're in your backyard. Drinking a beer telling a story.

Another awesome story from my neck of the woods. Keep them coming. Love from Maryland.
I thought at first it was down in Tennessee but then I seen Maryland I was like well that's my state

Wow! That does sound scary…especially when no one else is around.
@@basecampchris It was. When I get a chance I'm going to write in an email about what was going on

Thanks Jelly Tots! C 🐻🌲🍺🏕
