Back in late1974 my mom experienced something frightening that happened to her I was about barely two years old,her grandmother had passed away in mid July of that year not long before her passing my great grandmother and my mom had gotten
into an argument, my mom had a very close relationship with her grandmother when she was alive they had gotten into an argument and she told my mom before she passed. She was going to come back and scare her my dad at the time was a bus driver for Greyhound so he was out of town when this happened that night my mom was holding me feeding me my bottle of milk and then she heard a loud banking crashing sound outside of the house outside of her bedroom by her bedroom window in her room, lights went out in her bedroom all sudden she saw her grandmother staring at her in the dark , she was so frightened she closed her eyes and said my grandmother wouldn't do that to me she loves me she said I rebuke you
you're not my grandmother she said I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over me she opened her eyes and it was gone and the lights went back on

My dad, a marine corp Vietnam veteran, and narcotic agent, all around tough guy, told a story about rock apes attacking him by throwing huge rocks and causing him to wreck his jeep and jump off a bridge (causing a lifelong back injury) while he was in Vietnam. I heard the story several times while growing up and it blended in with the other family friendly stories he told. (Not often, he had PTSD.) It has only been within the past few weeks that I learned there are no great apes in Vietnam and he was actually speaking of a “Bigfoot”.

I remember hearing a sasquatch encounter teenager witness talk about living next to an old rock quarry and going out to it very often to play and fish.
One time he walking back from the quarry but taking a different route home, he seen "a small monkey/gorilla" playing in a large tree then getting stuck. It let out a cry and another being came with arms out to help it, but this one was about 5 to 6 foot tall, but not much hair on it like the one in the tree. And, it was a female (breasts). He described it as "beautiful". She saw him after he stepped out of cover and she walked off with the little one after staring at him for a long time. He seemed it looked malnourished/skinny. The next time he came back to quarry he brought fruit and bread. He still did not know what she was, maybe homeless person, but beautiful/naked. He would often come back and leave food and wait to see her pick it up and eat from a distance. Last time he seen her was when she brought a large hairy female with her (8 foot tall, very wide, very hairy, no neck). After that encounter he never saw them again.
He only remembered how beautiful she looked. Don't remember where I heard this from (sasquatch chronicles, or another site)

I recall that sighting and I think you're right about it possibly being told on Sasquatch Chronicles. But it's far-out enough that could also have been on the more inclusive (& also terrific) World Bigfoot Radio as well. (As I recall) the guy and his grandmother had a long-term relationship-friendship with this clan, to the point of a few of them occasionally sitting in their living room, fascinated by the sights and sounds on television. The gargantuan alpha male (can't remember the Grandma's name for him) would come and summon them back into the forest...
(I HOPE I'm not conflating two similar stories?) I also think I remember the detail that it was the guy who helped the youngster out of its predicament (getting stuck in the notch/fork of a tree) and that luckily it was obvious to the suddenly re-appearing mother that this human was *rescuing*, not harming her cub, thus forming a bond of sorts. Can anyone else recall any of that? Or am I mixing up Sasquatch stories?? Either way -- We ALL Love Your Channel, Chris!

@@BJones-yw4dd Yep you are correct. It was Sasquatch Chronicles but the lady wasn’t his Grandma. She was some old lady who lived in the forest and she formed some type of relationship with the creatures. Baby sitting the younger ones, letting them watch TV. It was a really weird story because the person telling the story kept talking about the young female and how she looked. 🙄 It was a little weird!

@@BJones-yw4dd. Hi. This is no criticism - you are mixing the two stories. I heard about the one where the older woman had quite young ones in her house occasionally. During the time this man was talking to the woman, a young female Came downstairs, and he described her as being very attractive. That was told on Sasquatch Chronicles. But now I’m fascinated by the first story; I definitely have not heard that one before.

What an intense story. You told it great. I am a lifetime Maryland resident and spent time in Montgomery County at the same time as this story happened managing and maintaining some properties there. Where I live now (Harford County) also had a rash of Sasquatch sightings at about the same time, EXACTLY where I live. But like the BRFO said about his sightings they were a rash of sightings that were not seasonal. I bought my house almost twenty years ago, about ten years after the rash of sightings. I also used to go fishing and shooting in abandoned quarries, so this story hit close to home. I never saw, smelled, or found any evidence of a sasquatch despite being an avid outdoorsmen for about 60 years here. But I have seen some species that nobody believes should be anywhere near where I saw them. I got ridiculed for that but I know what I saw, and others saw them as well. I really don't care what ignorant people say about a subject I have better knowledge about than they do, so the ridicule didn't bother me. I can only imagine the ridicule people risk when they decide to share a sasquatch or any other cryptid encounter. No wonder so many keep quiet about it until they get old enough that they don't care what others think. That story will be hard to top. But please give it a try.

This is our story! I have to say that the fact that we didnt relate it to Sasquatch at the time it happened probably made it better for us to tell. Like he said we never attributed it to a Sasquatch until I saw that show and heared the encounter that was almost identical to ours. I still get goose bumps talking about it! Although it was not in Knoxville, it was Dickerson Md. Close to Fredrick County.

@@mrmasonry9792 I fished the Monocacy River and Little Monocacy River when I was very young. Mostly smallmouth bass, but also catfish and fallfish. Other than being in the water fishing along catching lots of fish, I remember the stinging nettle patches in the flood plains of those streams when we were crossing dry land. I see nettles elsewhere but nothing that thick, or vast. They were like giant walls you had to go around. I can only imagine the adrenaline jolt you must have been under to run through one of those nettles fields without worrying about picking your way along. There is an antidote plant for their sting that always lives near stinging nettles. But it sounds like you were too focused on other things to care.
I envy those that get to know. I hope I can be a knower some day. But until then I just keep an open mind. I understand this is still something that affects you, but to quote a Dirty Harry criminal, "I gots to know".

I was sleeping next to the fire with just a sleeping bag. I sat up and they crawled out of their tents and we didn't say a word just sat there and listened. I've heard beaver slaps quite a few times and it's a different sound and we hadn't seen any signs of beavers in the area. I've heard a lot of stories now about rocks being thrown into water and it makes me think about that every time. I'd kind of like to believe something was throwing rocks lol. This is our story! I tell you it was such a crazy experience. We didnt put it all together until much later. No one can explain it however when I saw that show I was thinking that is exactly what happened to us! You know, when we were leaving, when we stopped it was because I had had enough of the intimidation and we just stood there listening and looking........I was ready for the fight. Like he said we were young, strong and cocky ( -stupid) so we were not backing down. But it was different. I have stood up to many many people, even when the odds were against me but this fear that hit me was something I have never experienced before or after. I think us stopping is what pissed it off. Like he said when we turned to go again the rocks got ALOT more accurate. Missing us by inches. And the last one in the creek was so big thats what sent us into fight or flight. We obviously chose flight! LOL

I spent my life in the woods and I always felt like the apex person out there. I carried a knife and we were actually carrying knives when it happened. (In MD you cant carry guns) and I can tell you it meant nothing at the time. What ever it was that wanted us gone could have took us out anytime it wanted too. We realized that later. I feel luck to even be here to talk about it.

Chris, I grew up in Montgomery County and use to frequent the quarry quite often back in the 70s. I have never heard this story before but it doesn't surprise me. There are a slew of Dogmen encounters in nearby Frederick county and Bigfoot stories up north close to Baltimore. Its crazy to think that all these encounters happen so close to major metro areas like Baltimore and DC.

You’re SO good at telling the experiencer’s stories. That he *still* has visceral trauma so close to him to this day… I’m imaging just one of the climbs I’ve been on and then adding a small boulder being thrown at me..? Having it land basically right up against your foot and the impact on the ground…it’s just so intense and not that easy to truly imagine all of that happening to you…just crazy. AND IT MAKES ME SO MAD that they’re bullying us like they are ! We’ve got the right to be there .

Good story Chris. I felt like I was right there in the quarry with them. So maybe it was a group of Sasquatch? These young guys certainly had their nerves tested. Any one of those rocks could have seriously injured them. I was relieved when they made it safely to the car, altho bleeding from the thick brush they ran through. Loved the little fire you had going with the coals. It provided a good atmosphere, as did the Frankenstein beer. With Halloween coming up, I bet you'll have some spooky fare for us! Take care.

Wow that was pretty wild! When you told of the second rock thrown into the water, your firepit's flames seemed to react with the wind that was blowing, it was going swoosh, swash, rumble, swoosh, swash, rumble, the glow was flickering like thunder - perfect timing!
Goodness, they emerged with scratches all over their arms and legs as they sprinted on out of there been escorted by a hostile and territorial bigfoot. My son had a similar experience recently of a large rock he heard thrown towards him and his nephew, he heard it hitting branches and leaves and a loud thump nearby while we were out in a trail. I was about 15 yards away and didn't hear it.

Oh my gosh Chris! Your stories keep getting better!!! Each story you tell scares the bejeebers out of me!!! Lol. This story was really intense. Sometimes I've thought it's a little funny that Bigfoot throws rocks at people perhaps like kids would but this is more serious and not to be taken lightly. I truly believe that there is something out there that we all can't explain. I think there's a vast amount of the unknown that we can't even grasp. From what all the people who had experienced this type of terror must have felt like they were in a scary movie. I love scary movies but don't want to experience something like that.
